aww. being stupid at eachother is a habit. youve might end up taking heroin, flakbac, and youd end up being the same asshole as now. but maybe a little better person even.
you gotta keep in mind i did all this in one night... research, pictures, putting everything in order, making the actual vid. sorry for any discrepancies... and i think i had to make one for a friend that same night too... but it might've been the next night (the vietnam tribute vid...)
Back in 69 me and afew friends headed for Bethel Woods to see Woodstock. Got almost there and the traffic got to crazy for us . We had just enough money for gas and brought food / blankets and enough weed to last us all the way back home. "BUMMER" but I still have my tickets and a good story to tell.
I love this. Thanks for posting it! I am going to repeat that which has been said perhaps a million times over-I wish I had been old enough to be there! :) FYI that two singers prior to Jimi Hendrix in the photographs are the late Tim Hardin who wrote "If I Were A Carpenter", and John Sebastian of "Welcome Back Kotter" fame. :)
All we have to do is to gather at a desolate place, invite someone new age performers, dress up like like hippies and bring like 10 litres of LSD :D Woodstock anniversary 2009 ! :D
it could be done but it wouldn't be the same not like 69. music has gotten worse and u remember what happened at woodstock99. bands like nickleback and my chemical romance would show up you know what i mean :(
I love the video but just as a little correction, it wasn't the largest concert. The Isle Of Wight Festival a year later had over 600,000. Undeniably Woodstock is more famous.
from this page of retrofits, i can say that was sureal, and those memorys guess you had to be there,
At the time they were oh okay so those are valium in my case, never do the brown cid, but it did change how a non chorigraphed event was natural as to mankind comming together, , A hint for who you webz vote for,
don't you realise it is all propaganda. you evil alex jones and jack blood followers. you are sick mindless crap with out a brain to think for yourself.
YEAH! that's right, let's go bomb another helpless country now, how about indonesia next? or hey... FIJI!!! idiot. this isn't anti-tyranny, this is remembering an event that happened over three days where everyone authority and non-authority alike united.
this is not what you think it is. it is going to spoil your mind, it will cause you to think for your self, next you will be voting Ron Paul and spoil everything. then who will do the bombing? what will we all become
hendrix sux! blues/rock? who puts 2 completely different genres together? Can you hear the same riffs in every song? you call that SINGING? its more like talking with the same tone in EVERY SINGLE SONG! who calls themselves JIMI? if you call yourself such a common name, at least spell it right! and who names their band after themselves, obnoxious jerk ,i can't look at this guy, poofy hair and a small mustache? not to mention he's BLACK! listen to steve vai/buckethead
it's ironic that your display name is JimiHendrixIsAwesome.... he was by far one of, ONE of, the best guitarists of the time... there's tons of better ones now, but back then... he was innovative.
You're either A) Abusing someone else's screen name who actually likes Hendrix, or B) The biggest hypocrite i've never had the pleasure of pulverizing. People like you give white people a bad name. Color is only skin deep, ignoranus.
$8. If you could get into a concert these days for $8 and see bands like these you would need to hope not to pass St. Peter while you're there cuz you'd be dead or dreaming. Hehehe
woodstock 69 was sick man, i wish i was there... and if they teach woodstock-like material in your history class i wish i was theree...peacee and love
jimi hendrix was supposed to play at midnight of the last night and the rain and dlays backed him up to the morning-the woodstock organizers tried to get him to go on at midnight but instead hendrix's management decided to close the show-thats why he went on monday morning at about 8:00-8:30
You missed quite a few of the bands there but it was an awesome experience to say the least! If you haven't seen the documentary then I truly recommend it. I remember Richie Havens playing for two hours plus, he was incredible! Jimi was breathtaking with not only his playing but his creative use of feedback. The later Woodstock festivals paled in comparison.
I WISH I WAS THERE.
