  • whinning about?

  • thats b.s. see if u can fix that!!

  • gosh you forgot mentioning Joe Cocker and Alvin Lee among the others

  • 100th rater.

Dam, really was born in da wrong fuckin time.

Shoulda been enjoying the 60'z and 70'z

  • hahah nice :p i didn't even realize this vid had that many ratings... :/

  • I totally agree,I'm obsessed and I think I was born in the wrong era

  • why yes, yes it is... a little ditty called "izabella"

  • what song is in the video?

  • izabella - hendrix

  • Me hubiera encantado asistir...

pero llegue 20 años tarde :(

    Gracias por el video!!!!

  • Thanks for keeping the fire lit!

  • you gotta keep in mind i did all this in one night... research, pictures, putting everything in order, making the actual vid. sorry for any discrepancies... and i think i had to make one for a friend that same night too... but it might've been the next night (the vietnam tribute vid...)

  • You forgot two standout acts in your credits.. Ten Years After and Joe Cocker.. Brings your grade down from a A+ to an A.. Nice Job...

  • Back in 69 me and afew friends headed for Bethel Woods to see Woodstock. Got almost there and the traffic got to crazy for us . We had just enough money for gas and brought food / blankets and enough weed to last us all the way back home. "BUMMER" but I still have my tickets and a good story to tell.

    Memories from an old Hippie

  • those are the best memories of all. i hope you framed those tickets :) i would've :p

  • if i could go back just to be there for the 3 days i would even if i would die afterwards....with passion and love we can try and rebuild this :)

  • :) no problem, thanks for the kind comment :D i hope this isn't the climax of your week though :p

  • I love this. Thanks for posting it! I am going to repeat that which has been said perhaps a million times over-I wish I had been old enough to be there! :) FYI that two singers prior to Jimi Hendrix in the photographs are the late Tim Hardin who wrote "If I Were A Carpenter", and John Sebastian of "Welcome Back Kotter" fame. :)

  • Man, i wish i had been there :(

  • i wish the same

  • ME 2!! they got2 do it over! weel that's notpossible but yeah... 8dollars? wthell?

  • All we have to do is to gather at a desolate place, invite someone new age performers, dress up like like hippies and bring like 10 litres of LSD :D Woodstock anniversary 2009 ! :D

  • it could be done but it wouldn't be the same not like 69. music has gotten worse and u remember what happened at woodstock99. bands like nickleback and my chemical romance would show up you know what i mean :(

  • I love the video but just as a little correction, it wasn't the largest concert. The Isle Of Wight Festival a year later had over 600,000. Undeniably Woodstock is more famous.

  • it was an extra credit project, i believe either on 60s americana or any point in american history. can't recall, it was 2 years ago :/

  • Awesome video, w the Woodstock Generation.

  • my dad made it to woodstock till this day he refuses to talk about it

  • because he had a bad experience? or because it brings back memories that make him miss the past?

  • im 15 i wanted to go :( is ther any more hippies?

  • Woodstock happened the summer I turned 18. It was a great time to be young! Thanks for the memories...

  • So you were there? In that case i'm jealous :-(

I'm 18 right now, and I wouldn't hessitate even 1 second if I got the chance to go back in time :-)

  • Play88keys

from this page of retrofits, i can say that was sureal, and those memorys guess you had to be there,

At the time they were oh okay so those are valium in my case, never do the brown cid, but it did change how a non chorigraphed event was natural as to mankind comming together, , A hint for who you webz vote for,

  • im 21 and this generation of music is shit i wish i was a teen in the 60s

  • you and everyine else

  • damn straight!!! somebody better build a friggin time machine quick!

  • don't you realise it is all propaganda. you evil alex jones and jack blood followers. you are sick mindless crap with out a brain to think for yourself.

  • YEAH! that's right, let's go bomb another helpless country now, how about indonesia next? or hey... FIJI!!! idiot. this isn't anti-tyranny, this is remembering an event that happened over three days where everyone authority and non-authority alike united.

  • this is not what you think it is. it is going to spoil your mind, it will cause you to think for your self, next you will be voting Ron Paul and spoil everything. then who will do the bombing? what will we all become

  • i am 18 right now, and i hate our generation...i wish i was 18 then cause that woulld be so amazing!

  • You did a good job with it, I was nineteen at the time, you are accurate!

  • nice use of latin, care to translate now? i don't understand all of it, just parts...

  • ahhh, no problem, it's importance to preserve and praise the past. :) just my little comtribution, you should check out my vietnam vid too :-D

  • hendrix sux! blues/rock? who puts 2 completely different genres together? Can you hear the same riffs in every song? you call that SINGING? its more like talking with the same tone in EVERY SINGLE SONG! who calls themselves JIMI? if you call yourself such a common name, at least spell it right! and who names their band after themselves, obnoxious jerk ,i can't look at this guy, poofy hair and a small mustache? not to mention he's BLACK! listen to steve vai/buckethead

  • it's ironic that your display name is JimiHendrixIsAwesome.... he was by far one of, ONE of, the best guitarists of the time... there's tons of better ones now, but back then... he was innovative.

  • yes, he WAS one of the best guitarists

so would you rather listen to some old crappy guitarist then GREAT new ones?

yes it is ironic isnt it

who said my username has to represent my opinions?

  • RE: JimiHendrixIsAwsome--

You're either A) Abusing someone else's screen name who actually likes Hendrix, or B) The biggest hypocrite i've never had the pleasure of pulverizing. People like you give white people a bad name. Color is only skin deep, ignoranus.

  • touche. that was a great response. :)

  • Thanks sir. And thanks for posting the Vid. It's pretty kickass.

  • $8. If you could get into a concert these days for $8 and see bands like these you would need to hope not to pass St. Peter while you're there cuz you'd be dead or dreaming. Hehehe

  • It's so great to see somewhere where all these people got together to have a good time, no matter who or what they were.

  • only photos with a wonderful music...a very good job!

  • Births: 2

hahaha How awesome would it be to have been born at woodstock..

  • the song is actually called... "izabella"

  • to answer you question, that song was Message to Love.

  • This is beautiful.

  • woodstock 69 was sick man, i wish i was there... and if they teach woodstock-like material in your history class i wish i was theree...peacee and love

  • Where's Quill, The Band, Johnny Winter, Sha na na etc.

  • jimi hendrix was supposed to play at midnight of the last night and the rain and dlays backed him up to the morning-the woodstock organizers tried to get him to go on at midnight but instead hendrix's management decided to close the show-thats why he went on monday morning at about 8:00-8:30

  • ya jimi couldn't play the first two nights because some put LSD in his water...so it their fault there was only one jimi show

  • as i know, jimi appeared on the morning of August 18, couse of delays (am i wrong;/?)

  • ah Jimi rocks my world

  • Why the hell now there's only rap and pop and stupid thinking in the minds of the youth? Whish i could have been there, at that time

  • that was really good!!! i sooo wish i could have been there!!! you re right the best generation of all time!!!

  • i think i might've been 16 when i did this, maybe early 17... i'm turning 18 in january...

  • emjayrow how old are you?!

  • dude ur history class must rock u must've gotten an A++

  • o my god amazing!

  • You missed quite a few of the bands there but it was an awesome experience to say the least! If you haven't seen the documentary then I truly recommend it. I remember Richie Havens playing for two hours plus, he was incredible! Jimi was breathtaking with not only his playing but his creative use of feedback. The later Woodstock festivals paled in comparison.

  • you get to make that in history class?? damn you're lucky

  • jimi rocks!!!!!!!

  • I was there and it is still very on...

  • Whoa! Really nicely done! Thanks for the great video.

  • Very well done.

  • I love this!!!!!!!!

  • rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is very good! Good job!
