Wow...I hate to hear about the new baby having such major problems. That has to be really tough to handle. I was going to send you a message to ask where you've been...now I know. Hang in there, buddy.
Stubby - sorry to hear about your child. I wondered where God was in quite a few situations myself. But it does seem that when trials come it also brings opportunity for you and others to make a difference. The human spirit is awakened in many.
I know you will give your daughter lots of love and that will make all the difference in her life. Much Peace to you & yours - Brother John
sorry to hear about your daughters health problems chum.
personally i do take some small measure of comfort in not having to look for a why beyond the how.shit happens and we deal with it to the best of our ability.
@NemoUtopian Hey Nemo. Good to see your doing all right. There is certainly alot to deal with out there. No need to bit of more than you can chew. It is certainly good to focus on the things we can fix. I do the same.
As a parent dealing with a child's medical issues, I can relate to your situation. It's tough. It makes one question HaShem all the time. That everything - even the bad stuff - ultimately works toward the good is little comfort when you're sitting in the hospital & your child has tubes running everywhere & machines humming & bleeping.& hissing. I think this is why Judaism teaches that we are to be HaShem's Co-Working Partners in repairing & restoring the Creation. Live, learn, repair & evolve.
@smadeintheshade Smadwell good to hear from you sir. I didn't know you had a new channel. Very well said. All I can do is try my best to tend the garden. Hope things are going well.
I'm sorry to hear about your daughter, but also congratulations on your new baby. Despite any difficulties you may have I'm sure she'll also bring much delight. And I don't say that in any patronising or unrealistic way. I've known several children with spina bifida and they had much to offer.
@Loreleila Thanks for the kind words. I did forget to mention that she is a beautiful baby, and I do feel better about the situation when she snuggles up to daddy. I"ve actually been watching video's of Spina Bifida Kids on Youtube and they have done amazing things.
I was thinking of you before, but now even more.
