  • ur gona paint it so webbing dont matter right?

  • To - @mayhem1245

Did you watch the whole video? Webbing was not an issue on the second pull.

  • @rcWizzard

you still working on this? new video would be nice. i would love to see this finished

  • To - @joshfroh

    Yes, still working on it.

Have you seen videos 11B thru 22C ??

  • @rcWizzard

this is the lastest video i can find.

i wanna see this bitch RUN already.

  • To - @joshfroh

Dude, you've seen 10 out of 29 videos.

Click the button that says "35 Videos" above the display.

  • @rcWizzard

LMAO oh wow.. i watched them all backwards. LOL

but i have seen them all, lol

  • To - @rcfordsrbest8520

Either tape or Velcro, or both.

  • Are you gonna paint the frame green like the real grave digger truck?

  • To - @dirtbikeboyist

Yes, it will be powder coated Green.

  • 10 people prefer with barbies

  • dude it lookes amazing

  • you must be really wealthy to afford this haha

  • To - @bren9813

    I didn't buy it, I made it.

  • @rcWizzard oh i know i watched all the vids but im talking about buying all your items and what not for the truck and cool truck by the way grave digger and big foot are the kings of moster trucks

  • To - @bren9813

    So you're the wealthy one.

    Sorry, not for sale.

  • @rcWizzard haha sorry thats not what i meant haha im trying to say you must be pretty wealthy to afford everything for your truck haha sorry about that

  • To - @bren9813

    OK, gotcha.

  • @rcWizzard hey so one more question how much did all thish cost? i was looking into making something like this

  • To - @bren9813

Around 4k, not including the engine.

  • where did u get the engine? how much? if possible can u send me a link?

    great truck!

  • To - @BeauKnight96

    From e-Bay $1650.

Check out the new version at ConleyPrecision. com

    Thanks.

  • i winally know what you look like

    no homo

  • To - @BeauKnight96

    That's me at 2:20.

  • Plans for the heat box would be great, I could figure out the rest. The size of the mold would be roughly the size of a Power Wheels car; close to the size of the Grave Digger.

  • To - @felonskate

Send me a PM with your e-mail.

  • Do you happen to have a detailed materials list and/or instructions for the making the vacuum table? I'm also interested in tips on making a mold. Thanks in advance.

  • To - @felonskate

I do for the heat box, but can't find the plans for the Wood box. I'd have to measure this one. What size Mold do you plan to make? The size of the box will be determined by the size of the plastic sheet you'll be using.

  • I will get going on a mold then. Any tips you can get me on making a mold?

Any Idea when we might see a video of your sweet truck running?

  • To - @caprini83

Check your messages, my reply was to large for this box.

  • How much do you think it would cost for you to vac form it and ship it?

  • To - @caprini83

$75 for Materials, and a helper, then 30 to 40 for shipping, depending on your location. It won't be heavy but will be somewhat large.

  • No I want a 1/5 VW bus made, I was saying I have a mold for a 1/10 scale and was trying to figure out how I could stretch it to be a 1/5 scale

  • To - @caprini83

OK, 1/5th. I tell you what, you make the mold, and I'll only charge Materials and shipping. The sheet of plastic is 48" by 32" , should be big enough for a 1/5 VW Bus. The mold for the 1/4 GD took forever to make. Your bus could be 1 piece. Good Luck.

  • @rcWizzard hi ive got a sc10 and i was wondering if you could maybe make me a mold of a 1950 ford pickup truck (original GD) dont try anythin yet cos i have no plans of starting that mod on my truck right now :)

just asking if u could one day make it (when your big beast is done of course)

  • To - @baptistedeschrevel

That would be several hundred dollars to make a custom mold.

  • @rcWizzard ough ... damn :(

  • Yes, but I have a 5 SC/5T

  • To - @caprini83

Which is 1/5 scale, but you want the VW Bus body made in 1/10th Scale??

  • I don't have a mold for it. I wish I did. I have a 1/5 scale (HPI Baja 5Sc)

I a body in 1/10 scale of the bus, just not in 1/5 scale

  • To - @caprini83

Is the VW Bus body for your 5B?

  • Could you make a custom vw bus body for me?

  • To - @caprini83

What scale? Do you have a Mold to form over?

  • The tires aren't all that pretty, Don't they sell Monster truck tires for your truck? and how much does the truck weigh?

  • To-@KWC808

No, they Don't sell 1/4 scale Monster Truck tires.

    Around 90 lbs.

Check out part 15 to see the finished tires.

  • what kind plastick you are using???

  • @tiikeri328

Pet-G, also called Vivak. .080" thick.

  • @rcWizzard what is velcro (you said u'd use that to let the body hold on to the chassis

  • To - @baptistedeschrevel

    Also called Hook and Loop.

Do a Google search for it.

  • @rcWizzard ohh those scratchy things that are on sport shoes?? yeah i see

  • @rcWizzard what are yo ugonna call your driver ?? bony? dennis? dead man?

  • how did you create that side decal

  • @ironoutlaw96

Had a print shop enlarge and print it from a Jpeg file on vinyl adhesive paper.

  • I agree with the amazing comment, but you also contribute to education, which is a great thing to do. Power to your elbow - as they say!

  • whenu get to the exhaust setting try to put them like a normal monster truck like on the sides where we can see them

its just a "realistical look" advice so to make it cooler

  • @baptistedeschrevel

Agreed. I plan to do that after I've made a permanent engine mount, to get the spacing/alignment to look right.

  • @rcWizzard ok man good luck

  • @rcWizzard okay

    good luck

  • whitch parts of USA has 240 volt? and @ what waveform ? 50 or 60z?

nice job ..... you got alot of space unlike me in europe, lol

  • @naturalyshocked

All states have 240 volts. It's standard for ovens and clothes dryers.

    60z.

  • @rcWizzard its also the standard for central air heat/cooling

  • We want to make a body for a pulling truck. It would be 1/5 scale. So could you give some specs on size and materials to make one. What is the mold made of.

  • @etzkorn13

I used MDF particle board from Lowes or Home Depot.

I can't tell you about size, you'll have to design it to fix your truck.

  • Use a heat gun to to fix the drooping

  • @GODZILLAMANASS

The aluminum screen took care of that.

  • shit ur 1 smart dude.

  • good job

  • wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to mould a fibre glass body rather than making this vacuformer and go through all that ooo .... aaaaa.

I am asking this because I want to make a shell for HPI baja 5B SS which I just bought (not build yet). fibreglass looks messier but on the other hand vacuform is a lot of hard work?

    great work by the way.

  • @5h44my

I looked into doing fiberglass, but it's seems to be more of a pain and a mess compared to vacuum forming. I can make my 2 piece body read for trimming in about an hour. I would not want to lay the fiberglass over this mold, to do it right I would need to make a reverse mold and lay the FG inside it to get a smooth finish. That would take more time to make than it did to make the Vac Box.

  • you are right but the body I want to design is a bit complex and I'm affraid that the mould will be stuck in once vacuformed, cuting the body after vacuforming would be difficult not to mention it might damage the plug. The body you formed does not have any curve that goes inward at the bottom. any suggestion?

  • @5h44my

I would have to see what your mold looks like. Can those parts be attached to the main mold from the bottom of the mold, so after forming, unscrew the special parts, remove the main mold, then the special parts. I did this for a 1/10th Hogan body where the wood carved arms are attached to a Plaster of Paris truck mold. The truck mold comes out first, then the arms.

  • Old guys havin fun. Priceless..Wish I could find a RC 66 chevy truck body.

  • same here.. what a coincedence.. i have been looking for 3 days.

  • I take it that the deal on the lexan body fell through?

  • @gr8fzy1

Yes, it would have been to much stress on the mold, and my wallet.

  • That's a shame. But at least your vacuum former works like a charm.

  • lol and my wallet

  • I really enjoyed watching your build from part 1 all the way till now(still gotta see the rest) Thank you for sharing you vid.

  • where or who makes all the lexan bodies for all the rc cars and trucks of the world? are they made in china or something?

  • @jondeak

Well, I can't tell you about All RC car and truck bodies, but this one was made in my basement, USA.

  • very nice, but why a vacuum cleaner ? u can better use a vacuum pump that pumps to nearly 4 mbar

  • @rallykadett

Don't know enough about them or where to get them. Can they also clean out the back seat of my Truck?

  • did you try to reheat the lexan in the sharp edges for better results?

    your project is awesome!

  • Yes. It turned out ok.

It's Pet-G plastic. Lexan is much harder to form.

    Thanks.

  • Lol at the start.

  • how long befor video 15 cums to you tube

  • Hope to do it by this holiday weekend.

  • this is amazing!

  • where did u get the little grave digger

  • It's scratch built. Takes 100+ hours to make.

  • your a verry smart guy

  • will u make me a grave digger body for my 1/36 scale micro t?

  • If you make the mold.

  • how did u fit in ur servo , i have made a large car from copper pipes just need to do the steering, and am suffering with this problem

    thanks

  • They will be inside the front axle.

  • what servo was it

  • I have a Hitec Mega 1/4 Scale, but I may change to the JR Z9100HVT.

  • 塗装する所もやって欲しかったです。

    次は宜しくお願いします。

  • Thank you.

  • could you do a running video of the little grave digger?

  • I tore up the diff with a Mamba brushless motor. So it's back to the drawing board. The Baby Bigfoot is running. I may do a video later on but want to focus on the 1/4 scale Digger.

  • you should get a v12

  • Grave Digger has a V8.

  • why not make the body out of thin sheet metal like grave digger and have it painted ?

  • Grave Diggers body is fiberglass. I've been vacuuming since 1994 and have no experience fabricating with sheet metal.

  • ya know i geuss i never thought about it being fiberglass. it makes sense though, i just never thought about it. oh and where is 1/4 Scale Grave Digger Part 14 with Conley V8?

  • Part 14 will be a week or 2.

  • Rc wizzard sir AWESOME!!!!!!

I LOVE your videos i watch them at least three times a day to enjoy the work you put

into your baby.I would like to request something from you, you have shown your micro grave digger in some of your videos and i was wondering if you could do some videos on how you built those little guys. Thanks againfor your videos.

  • Thanks Cobriete.

It would be tough to do a "how it's built" video(s) on the baby monsters without building another one, which takes about 100 hours. But I may do one with the basic steps on how I make them.

  • can you make a me a video fo how you made the Vacuum box i whant to make 1 my self plez repley

  • Since the Box is already made, it would be very difficult to make a video making it. I've been focusing on video's of making the truck. Send me a Youtube Message and I'll send a description with dimensions. A mechanical contractor made the upper heat box for me, I installed the electronics.

  • P.S. Are There Instructions Somewhere On How To Make A Vacuum Machine Or Did YOu Buy Yours.

  • I have a Vacuum book by Douglas E. Walsh, look for it on E-Bay. All my vacuum boxes are built by me. Including the Big one.

  • It's Looking Freaking Sick Great Work Man Look Forward To Seeing More.

  • qestion >> why dont you use fiberglass / carbon to make the grave diggers shell ??

just my pondering as a RC plane dude that fiberglassed a whole lot :)

    nice work anyway :)

  • I like painting on the inside of the body. Nice and shinny every time.

  • Can't wait till it's done,any idea how long

it will take you ? I am makeing 2 wd with the parts from a pocket 4 wheeler ! but it will look like a trophy truck. bigger is

    more fun i think.

  • Many months. Scratch built always takes Longer than you think.

  • Dude that is SWEET. Wish I had your talent at makin that.

  • this guy knows whats up. for sure.

wish you were my dad lol...

  • thats really cool but i dont have that much time or money

  • you must have that patience of a saint!! Its a lot of work!

Your truck is coming nicer and nicer... can we play with it once its finished?

  • WOW! I didn't know making a plastic body was that hard! :O That must be why they cost so much :D

    Great work mate!

  • how much was the engine and where can i buy one

  • Used for $1650.00 from E-Bay. Check out the New Version at ConleyPrecision. com

  • Where are you from. you sound like your from up north at some points

  • Northern VA

  • you live in northern VA i live in sterling

  • i live in va

  • ooops wrong Truck

    Bery Good Vid

  • Good Job .Could you tell what material your forming .(Lexan) what thickness Thanx

  • .080" Pet-G or Vivak. Lexan is Much harder to form.

  • ok now i have seen them all and no i get it hehe:D:D

  • i mean part 6

  • it look much smaller than it did in part 5!!

  • i see no bashing in this ones future

how do they make the body 4 the real one

  • Fiberglass on a Big mold.

  • Lookin' good! Can't wait to see the finished product, man.

  • Woah! Missed this when you first put the vid up. Great work man!

    5/5 as usual

  • when is part 11 coming? i cant wait!

  • Hope to record this weekend.

    Stay Tuned!

  • you know, you should cut out some decent sized holes in the rim for weight reduction on the one with mower tires on it

  • All 4 have mower tires. Holes would not be true to scale, would look weird, and not be a significant reduction in weight.

  • Man you got some skills ! Keep up the good work, can't wait to see it finished :D

  • wow

    this project is so skilled

you must have spent so much time on this

and i appreciate you putting videos of your progress, its very inspiring.. cant wait to see the fnished project ayee

keep up the god work dude

  • Been watching this 4 a while and wondering how many 1/4 servos will you use? and is it front steer only??

  • For starters, 2 servos. Yes, front steering only, for now. Want to get it running B4 making a new front end.

  • love the bit at the end when it rolls away

  • hey, what size are the rims your using? 6" 8"?? i have looked threw dozzens of tractor/mower snowblower and small light utility tires for my crawler build (its the future body guy:) i found a cheveron pattern tire, not very luggy for the size but gives that monster truck look. i will gladly look to see if there made for your rims. been folowing since vid1. dieing to see the next one, CIAO!

  • 6.5" Dia by 5.5" wide. Tires are 15" in diameter.

  • so far so good.

  • Why don't you try doing it 4x4? It's going to look better and wont be hard to control. And don't forget to paint the chassis green. Ceep workin' on the truck.

  • incredible work!!!!

  • very nice but i think you have to much time and money, if you could send some time my way and maybe some money too LOL, great job on the truck.

  • This is really cool! I was searching around for model V8 engines when I found this. I sure wish I could afford that Conely.

Anyway, great project you have there.

  • Nice dedication you got there, the front axle needs to be better looking , and motorised to, 4X4 is gonna be good

  • Can't wait til you get this beast running! Been following you since your first video, and I'm excited for your next!

Just an idea for tires, though, they do have ATV tires out there that have a bit meatier tread (though most really aren't going to mimic that of a fullsize monster truck's tire) that should be around the same size as those tractor tires.

    Good luck!

  • I've looked. Just not the right size.

  • you going to paint the frame green

  • Yes, it will be Powder Coated Grave Digger green.

  • oops wrong truck hahha

  • Does the v8 Conley engine have any cooling at all? I was just wondering how the engine block would survive after long runs :)

  • Yes, it is water cooled.

Check out video #1. The tub with the blue lid holds the water. The black thing on the front of the engine is the pump.

  • hey if u plz send me a video on how u made the v former

  • Send me a message with your e-mail address.

  • SWEET!

ours is a (tiny)1:10 gravedigger.. yours is AWESOME!!!

really enjoyed seeing the vacuuming technique!!

  • how long until the next video

  • It will be a week or two. Have the front end painted. Working on the rear.

  • after the paint job video, how long until riding video?

  • Good question. I hope you have patience.

  • man this thing is really turning out to be a beast, i wish i had one. btw i think if u sold it , it would be like 5000$ easy

  • I currently have between 3000 and 5000 into it, including the Conley.

  • you'll sell then 9000 15000 easily

  • This is turning out great. Actually seeing these videos got me started working on RC vehicles again. I have a replica Grave Digger #7 clodbuster thats i've run in several Illinois Monster Truck Challenge races. I'll have to post a video of it so you can see how good it looks. Its not fully complete yet but i still love to drive it. Squirly just like the old truck used to be to haha. I also have an Avenger clod and soon to have a Brutus bodied clod as well. Thanks for inspiring me!

  • Cool man! Thanks for your comment.
