@ThreeCrowns I totally noticed this too I was wondering if they intentionally did that I even called up my local radio station and asked if they noticed and they were surprised
@ThreeCrowns as someone who doesn't like the chili peppers at all, I approve this message. they are fantastic and talented musicians and certainly have good taste in music. They just don't click for me.
I LOVE Jeff Buckley, but I felt like this song just didn't belong on the album. What was coming across to me was a producer saying "Jeff, you put all of this other beautiful, melodic music on the album, why don't you put a hard rock song on it?"
@tfrost1988 funny you say that because I think it's one of the most powerful tracks on the entire album. Though it has rock influence (they are a 90's rock band) it is still very intricate, and well thought out. A beautiful climax, great dynamics, and the feeling in the lyrics was coming straight from Jeff's heart, not a producer. This song speaks on so many levels.
This song is amazing. I randomly picked up this cd that my dad had lying around simply to listen to "Hallelujah" and then clicked the track selector over a few times and this came on. I was astounded.
best song on the album. reaches heights that no other straight up rock could ever hope to even come close to reaching. his voice, the strings, fucking heavenly.
One of the best Atheist songs every written, he was such a fucking awesome musician and this is the only true expression of his anger at the church. "crown my fear your king at the point of a gun" and "tell me where is the love in what your prophet has said man, it sounds to me just like a prison for the walking dead" brilliant lines.
@Reaper2k6 "This is a song about...it's an angry song. Life's too short and too complicated for people behind desks and people behind masks to be ruining other people's lives, initiating force against other people's lives, on the basis of their income, their color, their class, their religious beliefs, their whatever..." - JB
It could be an atheist song, but I think that thats missing the whole picture. Its just a song that is crying for peace and no discrimination.
I dont have the know how to make a video using this song , it fits the movie "the crow" as does corpus christi carol as well, but a video would be good with eternal life using crow footage
Awesome. Relentless.

Myles Kennedy of Alter Bridge fame sounds exactly like this guy. I don't give two shits if anyone wants to argue against that.

@mac1990nose: Myles Kennedy has Jeff Buckley's voice, and James Franco's face.

The Chili Peppers copped this intro for "Can't Stop." You may not like em but they have fantastic taste in music and are great musicians.

the intro sounds soooo much like RHCP's " Can't stop "
and the guitar also sounds a little like " Phat Dance "

@rockangel7777 Its the opposite. RHCP 'Can't stop'' sounds like this small intro. Jeff Buckley rules
