I've got this version! everything about the Amiga version was superior, the sound (both music and SFX) and the graphics! overall it was a good port, it was much more than an Outrun clone! they never ported the original Lotus meaning the numbers on the Genesis were always out of sync.

I remember wanting Virtua Racing for my birthday and my parents got me this. I was initially really disappointed but then ended up loving it. Now that I'm older and own a copy of Virtua Racing as well, I like this game better. The Road Rash trilogy ended up being my favorite racers on the Genesis though.

Dude, you gotta learn to appreciate that there's a pop culture element to these games, its not just all about flawless gameplay.

Take Ninja Golf, Cyber Ball, Pit Fighter, Death Duel, or Kasumi Ninja for instance, they may not be the greatest games ever; but they certainly hold......entertainment value.

But its the pop culture of the game that's really the pizazz of this review, and the game itself)

You have to consider the hardware differences, the Genesis used an FM synth chip, where as the Amiga used a more advanced sound chip, that could do 4 channel stereo MOD music, with digital samples. So for the Genesis the music does not sound that bad.
