  • may be small smelt's smell is great

  • cant wait to go tonight !

  • what did the man in red jacket catch and threw back?

  • @dzhotdog Hmmm.... its a fish we call a sucker. I'm, not sure of its "real" name, sorry. It's a bottom feeder and he threw it back because its a boney fish... and not a lot of folks eat them. Some people say they're tough to clean too because of all those bones... but I know some folks who love to both clean and eat them!

  • @connormouse i see. "sucker" does sound like a bad tasting fish.

  • @connormouse I don't know if anyone has replied back, the "suckerfish" is a carp, they're considered a "Rough Fish" and are in many states a fish that you are required to keep on the bank, and kill. Personally, if you smoke them though, they taste just like ham.

  • Barry, nice job! Fun to see "Art" (my gr 11 Earth Sciences teacher) in this element! I noticed at the end of the video you appeared to be inside a vehicle with a "pop-top". A Westy? Are you still driving one? Sold Rosie (my '74) in '99 and determined to obtain another soon. I will always remember our run to the Island to look at the van you were considering many years ago. Our stop in Whitefish for gas, as you realized you were on empty!

    Great to "see" you again!

  • Hey Mr. C! Yes I drive an 88 westy... and have for the last 15 or 16 years now. Parked in winter and reasonably rust free. I recall that stop in Whitefish. I couldn't believe we were not pushing the damn thing. Hope you are all well. BJ
