    But yeah, good show :)

  • 1337 views lol

  • this is the s&m version.. that was recorded in #D

  • thats just beautiful

  • oh God Dammed Mother Fucker ! So Fucking Amazing :o

  • look Mummy, there's a airplane up in the sky

  • what the fuck was he looking at the first 30 seconds? lol

  • very very nice dude

  • solo messed up. Rest quite nice ;D

  • obviously its a marshall.haha.but what kinda amp is it?

  • wat wah pedal did u use

  • @ravensall22 - It was the Dunlop Signature Zakk Wylde Wah...Just loved the sound of that sweep from heel to toe. One sound of that one, didn't even flinch to buy it at a moments notice!

  • dude.....AMAZING!!!

  • Love it. Intro is imaculate.. need a little more speed.. Love the way you up stroke that main bit on the way up... its gold!

  • @TacticalSkum - Thanx dude!

  • Just a little bit faster...just a little..

  • Brilliant !

  • in the description u said u messed up

    i didnt hear it

    you are fuckin awesome

  • man... kirk hammet and that wah... anyway the growling wah sound layered under the guitar is cliff using his morley wah.

  • Holy shit, is that Jon Gosselin?

  • I truly love it.

  • wow good job

    metallica power

  • wat u started at 1:40 was just a mess

  • no he tried to cover two guitars at once!

  • Sorry dude, but at the time of this recording, I was really into the S&M version of this song so that is what I tried to emulate on this cover. But I couldn't play the S&m solo of this song.

  • aw dont get me wrong, its actueel class jus that bit cud do with a touch more control :)

  • little too much chorus there in the beggining, and a little too little distortion

  • Some mistakes I tried to cover with a wah pedal.

rofl who taught you to play, kirk hammet? =P

  • A Little Slow At The Beginning.

But It's A Wonderful Cover, Dude.

    2 Thumbs Up.

  • not bad at all.

  • waaah waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

  • "Some mistakes I tried to cover with a wah pedal."

don't worry bro, kirk hammet does that all the time lmao XD

  • suena mal esa afinacion pero esta muy bien men !!!!

  • Lol the shadow X) it looks like if he plays with is dick

  • every thing was good but the solo dude lay of the wha itsb to muh its lke you are covering up the fuck ups.just practice the solo .

  • Sorry dude. My old lead player was on a constant quest to find decent sounding Hammett wah pedal and this Zakk Wylde pedal was his grail. Begged to buy it from me but no dice, so he got one at retail price. I tried to make it sound like the S&M version, that is my fav. version of this song.

  • good work!! keep goin`

    i also have a question

what`s your amp full name?(pls i want one too)

  • 50W Marshall Mg-DFX Series.

  • what a cover man!!

sound really close to the original version!

    nice men!

  • well done!

  • very well played!!!!!!!!!!!

  • you are awsome man keep it on and never stop playing guitar

  • Cool cover man :D

  • nice job man, thats a hard song. keep it up

  • hey your guitar is awesome!(=

and you play awesome too, the solo was kinda messy but hey its ok and you say you are not a lead player so thats reasonable.. but it sounded pretty cool most of the song nice work

  • Good play, sounded like you got tired somewhere in the middle, but ey, It's very well played.

  • That's awesome. It sounded just like the studio version in most parts.

  • this was sick man nice job

  • you are very good no question !but get the real notes

  • Yes, the noted in the intro were slightly off.

  • nice les paul what pickups active or passive

  • Sounded AWESOME till 1:38

  • sick guitar

  • awesome

  • Badass!!! thats total kickassery right there

  • dude that was awesome! gotta say tho, at 1:38 it looked like the wah scared u, was reli funny lol. Gd job tho man, wish i could play this...

  • Comment removed

  • how u make sound so evil man its awesome

    wat amp u have

  • It was a Marshall MG-DFX 50W solid state. I sold that awhile ago now. Plus the EMG passive pickups that I had in this guitar. Nothing against active EMG's but that guitar sounded bad-ass with those pickups. I cannot replicate this tone with the 81 and 85's that I have in there now with my MESA

  • Oooookay

  • what kind of distortion u using

  • you are badass

  • this is an OK job but theres no wah on the guitar in the song (only in the solo) thats Cliff kranking the bass with a wah. and the solo is a bit sloppy and not spot on i would leave it out till ya get it a bit closer. not trying to be a dick just an honest opinion. hey at least you picked a damn good song to KranK on keep it up man!! CFH

  • dude how u play it i learned the original i think your doing the live verison how u learn that

  • The original off the 1984 Ride the Lightning has the bass doing the wah sound your hearing at the distorted intro. if ya listen in the background you can hear Cliff slowly going up the neck. I play both guitar and bass and im 100% sure thats cliff in the back with the wah on his bass. You changed it to guitar and it sounds better than not hearing it at all. CFH

  • awesome man!

  • How do you get the clean sound?

  • On this vid, I got it from the passive EMG0HZ that came stock on this Epi Zakk Wydle guitar. I used the guitar's middle selector on the 3-way pickup selector switch. This amp wasn't bright enough with the treble cranked, so I used a DOD-7-band EQ pedal to boost the hi's and mids's a bit. To top it off, I used the built digital chorus that came with this 50w Marshall MGDFX solid state amp.

  • your amp or your life! :D

anyways, very good cover, there are some pearls out of all this crap on youtube :)

  • Great. Make Metallica Proud.

    Nice shoes, BTW.

  • Yeah, I had those shoes handed down to me, kinda a family tradition! Thnx man

  • unbeliveable cliff would be proud if he was alive and james hetfield is god his jaw would drop if he watch this this is killer!

  • Cazzo me dai na pista...bravo!

  • yeahhhhhh good good

  • very very good. ;-)

  • dude that was fucking bad ass

    very good job

...way to much wow on the solo

  • brother, the solo sound horrible

  • dude met cliff when he was alive shows my age

great job still trying to master it gbu

  • thats just awsome

  • i love this song...i love your guitar...and i love your interpretation!!!!

  • perfect.*****.all i can say

  • Beautiful guitar, beautiful amp, beautiful quality. Great vid. 5 stars. GL with guitar in the future.

  • Good job!

  • Dude nice job. I can play this too, but my cam is so crappy you cant hear past all the static, and you can't see. Sounds tuned down though,,,still sounds great.

  • It's tuned down because I was trying to cover the S&M version, but I couldn't play the solo on that one. Anyhow...thnx

  • Sweet guitar by the way. lol

  • oh my gosh, rox. really nice. effect - super, guitar - good looking and sound awesome, but the best is that in what you're sitting on ;)) to the song - hats' off, my lord

  • im gonna play the bass with this,, its gonna own!

  • ha ha sweet. Post a vid, that'll be pretty cool

  • great job!!

  • nice axe man

  • sounds good dude.. I play it through an LP and a Marshell amp too and we both have the exact same sound. I even played along with this video and it sounded really cool togethor

  • haha looks like ur taking a dump. good performance though 5*

  • That's were I learned the intro. Taking a shit and it finally hit me, LOL. Thanx

  • very nice mate, you did a fucking great job =D

  • very nice man, I like it!

  • Very nice. You can appreciate how hard it must be to play that intro standing up infront of a crowd cant ya? Loved the intro tone.

  • holy shit, great job the intro sounded perfect.

  • I'm learning this now. It's a tough song. You did a terrific job; nice work.

  • dude u have talent!

im still tryin to learn this song

  • holy crap

  • OMG amazing man =] Kirk and James would be proud ...

  • pretty nice man :D better than wat i can pull off lol

  • Thanks, was one of the toughest one to learn, other than the intro to Nothing Else Matters. Learned to play nothing else matter using a pick

  • sweet man haha maybe we could jam online sometime i got mics n cams n shit maybe we can start an online band lol

  • sorry about that, I was trying to reply to someone else's comment, I'm kinda new to you tube so forgive me.

  • intro sounds like the real thing! very nice

  • Thanks man. At the time of this video it had the stock 'Epiphone' version EMG-HZ passive pickups. I used the middle position, cause the neck pickup didn't sound good at all. I have active 81 - 85's now. But the 85 has a tad more volume than the 81

  • Nice amplif.

    nice guitar

    nice effect

    NICE SHOES XDD

  • agreed. one of the best covers of it on here.

  • If you redo it without wah wah, it would be great

    nice Zakk wylde epiphone

     CLIFF RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUULES

  • thats a gibson...its on his guitar

  • ??? i'm talking about the effects and the bedals that he's using! specialy the wah wah!!! there is no wah wah on the guitar!!!

  • take a closer look, it's an epiphone. but I don't think I've ever seen a zack wilde like that...

and besides the wah wah, this is an excellent cover. I'm currently working out the song by ear, and I've got half of it.

  • awesome

  • Awesome

  • amazing tone at the beginning

  • very nice, but don't bother doing the wah wah, it's cliff doing that on bass, not Kirk :)

  • So does Jason play it on the S&M version of this wah. I tried playing this with that version in mind. I just can't play lead.

  • So fucking great

  • first up what is that design on your guitar? psychadelic much. second nice cover well played, good recording and no mistakes that i could pick up. nice work

  • the wah sound comes from cliff's bass.

  • What a beutiful guitar u have dude

    And that intro

    MASTERPIECE

  • what a intro, love it

  • intro = Most beautiful ktulu sound on youtube

  • Great, beatifull!Going Too Ma Fav's And 5/5!
