  • Comment removed

  • I play guitar

    just sayin

  • This is hot! In every way!

  • The TrioWanderer's version is much better !

  • excelente...

  • much too pathetic and self-loving for my taste. a lot of drama without respect for the intellectual aspects of this masterpiece

  • @100morgol This music comes from the heart and has very little to do with intellect!

Schubert is one of the least "intellectual" of composers!

  • Great performance

  • what's that raspy breath sound??? sounds like darth vader!

  • Oh and the cellist's name is Gautier Capucon.

  • Oh my god. That was amazing. There is nothing hotter than a guy who can play an instrument.

  • Too cold for my taste.

  • he played his soul out into all of his songs

  • I saw him and his brother play at the BBC Proms in London a couple of weeks ago.

  • the music - exquisite the musicians - beautiful

  • This is true music! Princess Nine used this song as Izumi's theme. The song is A Princess' Elegant Intensity. A very good song with drums and has that renaissance feel to it.

  • An elegant dance of sublime eroticism

A confirmer.

  • The names of the instrumentists????

  • Belissimo !!

  • Magnifique...

  • Who is the celist? does anyone know?

  • the mechanic :'(

  • This is astonishingly beautifully played.

  • beatifull

  • What's the name of the cellist? He's amazing!

  • @PotterGirl93 That would be the violinists brother, Gautier Capucon. I've seen him live a couple of times live, playing the Haydn 1st and Strauss Don Quixote. He is an astonishing talent, but unfortunately his record label tried to capitalize on his good looks and turn him into another richard clayderman by butchering his schumann recording, and probably destroying is career.

  • Majestueux. Ça me prend au ventre tellement la musique vibre d'émotions.

  • ich mag Franz Schubert.Das ist besser Komponist von Östörreich

  • Verdadeiramente sublime.Não me canso de ouvir.

  • great audio engineering on this one ... really vibrant sound from the violin and cello

  • andante con moto???

  • goddam. i need to sit on newspaper for a week. this cello player is hot!

  • That's Gautier, on cello is it not?

  • mi commuove no! Non posso ascoltarlo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • nice !

Szkoda.Emiliano.

  • oh god... if i were a cello!!!

  • All but especially the cellist play with a sublime clarity

  • @moonsoul18

    Yes. It is!!

  • My sexual tastes are limited solely to members of the feminine sex, but I must say that the cellist, from what I see here, is an amazingly beautiful, elegant, and refined man. Never seen him play before but he plays with extraordinary precision and skill.

  • @roman1akid It's ok if a musician turns you gay. We've all been there.

  • @Spereta Well this musician has aroused something surprising within me and has excited me greatly on more than one level. It's wonderful.

  • This is a beautiful trio, especially with the snow that is falling tonight.........

  • Ecstasy

    Me dejó paralela.

  • am i the only one who hear someone's breathing in the audio?

  • @BigboobsowN aha i hear it too. i think they might be breathing into the mics or something

  • @BigboobsowN i hear it too...it makes this performance sound rather erotic

  • This really makes the song come alive like no other example i've seen on this website. Perfect balance of restraint and expression

  • I never knew gay comments before this

  • @Zylinderz lol im a girl

  • <33333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333

  • especially Gautier..i cant say it here

  • I never knew beauty before this

  • @Zewaldi0007 Really?.. Then you must have lived underneath a rock until >>this<< :-P

  • @conexant51 I always listened to a variety of music..but nothing made me happier than to find a taste for classical arts:)

  • @Zewaldi0007 Beautiful.

  • @Zewaldi0007 You're right, and I feel the same way with classical music. For me it was like finding a new world. Although my parents both listened to classical music, it wasn't until my late teens that I really got into it.

It was as if finding a treasure in a place you always disregarded. Once found... WOW

I'm very happy for you! :)

  • @conexant51 I am very happy for us !!!

  • @Zewaldi0007 I'm with you on that, and thank you!

  • Who's the pianist?

  • wow amazing

  • trop lent... trop mou...

  • Almost "perfect " Schubert Trio no.2.

  • I love Gautier, he is a genius!

  • hm, barry lyndon.

  • very nice - again, favour shown to a slower approach to the piano part

  • Schubert's music is sexy.

  • tempo too slow

  • I think this movement composed by Schubert is the best trio piece ever. If I am wrong (And I am sure this is not the best trio piece; however I am not so cultured), please, give me links from youtube and let me be happier by hearing the other masterpieces!

  • MARAVILLOSO FELICITACIONES

  • Merci a vous trois. Ce CD est splendide.

    (Frank, Gautier et Renaud.)

  • Please could you be so kind to upload the whole trio? This performance 's amazing! Thanks.

  • This music touch me. So beautiful !!

  • It's ANDANTE con moto, not ANDATE

  • it sounds baroque doesn't it ?

  • No, it's romantic through and through....

Imagine Mozart composing this, it would be completely different!

  • Schubert was the most inspirated melodist of his time... all his music had indescriptible lyric power

  • This was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!! Who are these guys!!! Great musicians!

  • Renaud Capuçon, violin

    Gautier Capuçon, violoncello

    Frank Braley, piano

  • I love this piece, from Old Schubert.

Watch "Barry Lyndon", a great film by Stanley Kubrick.

  • Sadly, Schubert didn't live long enough to become old. :-( Can you imagine what he may have written?

  • @volk410

    I'm totally agree to you!

  • @volk410

maybe... although, Rossini and Mascagni lived long lives and didn't produce much in their later years... god knows!..

  • @volk410 Neither did Chopin:((

  • @volk410 Yes, it is one music's great unanswered questions. We can be grateful that he was a 'factory' of music making--wrote more music than 5 other masters put together. Maybe he had a premonition.

  • God thakes his genius children earlier then another

  • @privateline2 Sorry, I don't believe that. That just trivializes their genius. "Bóg" nie istnieje.

  • @volk410 whatever, dude! Maybe it's even good that he had short life, because nobody likes Haydn with his 109 symphonies.

  • @volk410

Or let us imagine Mozart had become 80 years old. Until 1836! Would he have shaped the romantic era?

  • You are an idiot.

  • thank you

  • You're welcome.

  • @kevbomb

    listen to schubertalamode from somethingalamode

  • drums and beats are like steroids, if you use them too much you become insensitive to all the beautiful frequencies and melodies music can generate :) Yes!! beats are really fun, but if that's all you listen to, you eventually become deaf to melodies and harmony's and only hear the beat. Then when you listen to beautiful music to this, you will only hear what is missing. "A wicked beat". :) Try listening to more classical music like this for awhile and you'll see.

  • I am taking that comment down. I put it up as a joke to freak some people out. I know what you mean, I love all types of music, and I love good classical like this. This piece has been in my head since I watched Barry Lyndon three weeks ago, it's made me want to get a cello

  • Look at those people, quite literally having eargasm there, and not without reason! Awesome..

  • SENCILLAMENTE ESPECTACULAR

  • does anyone kno what cello the cellist is playing? its beautiful. im a cellist and i absolutely love this piece, im hopefully it on my birthday recital.

  • Who is the cello player? Truly moving performance..

  • it is gautier capucon, renauds brother.

  • Yes they are each other brothers and Gaultier is the eldest one.

  • The Cello player calls Gaultier Capuçon and the violonist Renaud Capuçon is his brother. Both of them are french.

  • Thank you, EvolvedDilusion and frenchiecocorico1. I recognized Renaud, but not his brother. Very emotional player, truly stunning interpretation in that bit. Wish it was available in full length.

  • super !

  • I've never understood this piece completely. It begins so lonely and proud, only to be replaced early by a festiive trrio a couple of minutes later, and then, the lonely proud melody again, followed once more by the festive reprise.

Schizofrenia? Either there's no logic at all during composition or it's the work of a genius.

  • well... then you know the answer to your own question

  • Plus loin que toutes les emotions...

  • Woundabar!

  • Fantastic. I've never seen such an intimately filmed performance of the piece.

See the link below for a rock version of this very movement >>

    /watch?v=lz0qdYGbXuY

  • This is a great performance! Could you please upload the remaining 6 minutes? It would be great to see the entire performance

  • a very zesty performance...this kind of romantic adventure is only in Schubert's dreams.

  • Effectivement!

  • Et qui donc joue du violoncelle ?

  • Renaud, violon, Gautier, violoncelle !

  • You have a beautifully wide and generous path with a picturesque psyche and fringes of fancy around the edges.

  • You listen to each other so well it has the unifying affect of a mechanized performance without any of it's sad attributes.

  • Thanks for the upload, but whoever miced the piano should be MACHINE GUN WIPED.

  • whoever miced the piano should be PISTOL-WIPED
