Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) is a cancer of blood-forming cells in the bone marrow. Abnormal immature white blood cells (lymphoblasts) fill the bone marrow and spill into the bloodstream. Production of normal blood cells is affected causing anaemia, bleeding problems and infections. Children with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia have a good chance of a cure with treatment.
Its great that there is an alternative for those kids I mean, having Lymphoblastic Leukemia is already hard so, if they can avoid having side effects due to radiation it's amazing. There is more information on Radiology and on Luekemia at Symposier site explained by other physicians.
