everyone ive ever exposed the Brian Jonstown Massacre has acknowledged the greatness in the music, despite their taste in music. and anton is not a garden variety artist. Van gough was insane enough to cut off his ear, but is today revered as a great artist. anton is just tempemental, but is often harshly critizied for it.

Hm. More of the same? Nobody outside this band's little clique really considers them notable. The leader is--as best I can tell--a garden variety childish jerk. Take another notable a**wipe--GG.Allin. At least he challenged some boundaries--as banal and intolerable as he was, too. This Anton hopes his antics will make him notable--but he's doomed to being just another passe indie-rock artist. Nice songs, but not notable.

I've read it but i'm not sure that's a valid source. Could be true, but i've watched the commentary of DiG by the former BJM members (minus anton of course) and they don't say anything about it. Also, Anton consented to have the car searched. Why would he do that? I'm not sure...what do you think?

I dont think anton actually thought they were going to search the car. It was a dumb move on his part, because he had the right to say no, and i think anton knows his rights. Ive also watched the commentary and they do put Ondi down for not being completely honest at parts. whoever's weed it was, it was antons fault for consenting, and i imagine that the bnd was disgruntled about that. in th commentary joel seems to really dislike courtney taylor, too
