I once tried to hunt a qurupeco and this damn raithian appeared so I ran away and I tried to find the qurupeco again but the rathian kept following me

Once, in online (not in demo) a bunch of us were doing the Qurepecco quest for quick gold, and it called Rathian and we ignored the Qurepecco and went after the Rathian and, one guy got owned, and then I did, and then get gave up and did the sub-quest.

it did its fire ball at me i doged it then my team and i went i used hammer smacked it i n its head they hit its wings it got paralised and then well i used bombs! :D

Your equipment isnt great. My first completed run of rathian was with a SnS.

I was attacked by a Rathian in the quest: trapping a trickmaker.

I had ful-ludrot/royal ludrot and a switch-axe+, but i still got owned. :-S (had to flee)

what weapon is best againts rathian? im using a gs currently. but i heard to use a sword and shield. Im on this quest right now and haven't tried it yet.

well in my opinion i would use a paralyzing sns

i usually block instead of dodge just cuz blocking is safer

I remember freaking out when the qurupeko summoned a Rath. I just ran away, and then mauled the peko. I have no experience w/ SnS, I use both the GS and a Hammer. I'd say you did a great job. There can't be a way to defeat a rath in less than 20 minutes with the low lv weapons they give you. Your evasive manuvers are spectacular as well. :D Im going to see if i can get a rath with a GS now.

I'm pretty sure you can't kill that Rathian. It's a 4 star monster and the bird dude is only like 2 stars and you're only using the Jaggi SnS. I'm pretty sure that thing is like the big sea monster in that 1 star quest where it's just there to cause you grief.

mani just got finish fighting her with the GS but failed, and i had the rathian limping and everything. which is why i almost broke the wii cause i was soo close to killing it. im still pissed X_X

Well personally I use hammers against Rathalos and Rathain, but from that video it looks like you were doing really well.

You did really good especially with sns....so far I can kill rathian with sa after watching you I think I'll try the sns as well the only thing I'll say is next time take the dung bombs so u can get ride of the bird so it's not healing rathian you won't kill it if it keeps healing it

You did alot better than i can do with a sns lol. You know how to dodge and how to attack to maximize the damage of those weapons so you did great. In the real game you will probably have much better gear and weapons when you face her next time so ull be set = )

i think you did pretty good. i do think however, that maybe you shouldnt have been attacking as much as you did. but seeing as how you have reduced time and lower ranking equipment, i agree that you did VERY well. and dont give up on this goal. and learn the rathian, just as every other monster, you have to figure them out before you can take them down with lesser weaponry. you are very good with sns! just remember, play smart, play steady, and NEVER give up no matter WHAT the circumstances!

You aren't bad with the SnS, you just didn't capitalize on EVERYTHING and you missed a few shots, but EVERYONE has those problems. I imagine the set up to fight Qurupeco is pretty basic and not up to par with whats needed to take a Rathian down in a timely manner. I imagine the equipment set for the demo is about a standard Kut-ku setup.

Don't be disheartened, you facing two monster with far more limited time and sub par equipment. Killing the Rathian in the demo practically means your good.

You did absolutely fine. Tri has greatly reduced SnS attack power to the point where it will be most effective in groups. Good vid., though.

The reason you couldn't kill it was the fact that Peco's songs heal Rathian.

Look closely at Rathian at 2:01.

look i dont now if ian had more health or not but u dint target a weak spot so maibe dats wi u took longer but onestly u did good but that target aand stick with one leg thing not so good specialy when its not weak point but amibe it was ur armor or the sord or u just needed a power seed but preaty good keep tring:D

U did okay with the rathian in this vid. Good dodges cept for 2 tail spins & lol at the change map u did xD wasted one rathian on its legs.

But I think u could kill or accomplish more on that Rathian if u'd aim its head. U notice the sounds whn ur slashing her leg? Its not the sound of a slashing weak spot.

iv'e only seen part 1 but thats all i needed to see what u did wrong... u did pretty well for body shots and all but for crit hits. It's best if u attack the head of the ian! head shots do great dmg!!! so keep trying and u can do it!

@Nadaclos No they don't change and I've seen one. Do the capture quest for the bird dude and when he lets out his cry and flies away a Rathian will come down to bring death and suffering to you.

You should definatly keep trying and see what the results are! At 10:35 if you wouldnt have cut off the tail you would have been as good as dead, lol.

not bad. The SnS isnt a weapon that you can easily kill an MH3 Rathian with in 20 minutes especially if you dont know exactly how strong it is and are supplied with limited supplies. So all in all it was the best MH3 Demo Rathian SnS gameplay ive seen so far!

i think that you are doing well, what happens is that rathian in the mh serie was one of the esyest wiverns and now that she has new attaks you performanse lowered :P

i think you should only focus on the head as you can see that the blood splash from its head is a whole lot bigger than any where else

Yeah you did a really good job. I think you should only attack the tail when its in the air. Other times if possible you should just attack the head. If possible I would put the bombs under the head as well. I tried the same thing today with the same results. I have killed the rathian a couple of times with the hammer, and seen 1 video on youtube of someone killing it with the GS.

Also when it starts limping it still has quite a lot of energy left. But its good practice..

SNS is week but easy too use so i think it best too get the tail then aim for gold in it's eyes but i don't see why you would need too kill it with every weapon if it's dead it's dead
