We (you) need to start having respect and not assume people are ignorant just because they're Americans. I've actually devoted a large part of my schooling and my life to the study of other cultures. I love the people of Ghana and have great respect for their way of life. Seriously, your stereotyping is offensive.

This village positions itself as a tourist site and charges a fee for entrance and for cameras. We met with the cheif of the village and though we didn't really have any desire to, he insisted that we take pictures of and film his village because he was proud of it and its beauty. So we did, but I kept the camera down in hopes that the people wouldn't feel as awkward. Since we got the film, I figured I'd post it up, since it really is a beautiful village.
