Another thing: Kobe had issues with Phil Jackson partly because of Phil's tendency to coddle Shaq. Once Shaq was out of the picture, their relationship was mended & produced 3 more trips to the Finals, resulting in 2 more Championships. Kobe has plenty of faults, but he was not solely responsible for that.

First of all, Kobe should have won the MVP in 2006. He single-handedly carried the Lakers into the playoffs and deserved it more than Nash. Secondly, the Lakers were up 3-1 in this series. I think it's the only time I've known a Phil Jackson coached team to lose a series after going up 3-1. All being said, this game was a Classic and this series was a classic.
