I don't think people need to be skinny, or have perfect skin to be beautiful. I just think you need to be healthy and happy. I don't even own a scale, but I do exercise atleast every other day for atleast an hour. I believe in a balanced diet, if I want a piece of cake, damnit I'll have a piece of cake. Exercise isn't supposed to be used to get astheicaly pleasing, it's purpose is to keep your body strong, and healthy. To make sure you know how to defend yourself, or atleast have the ability to.

Kids should be taught at school how photos are phothoshopped, how many celebrities had nosejobs, boob implants etc. Women like Beyonce, Britney, Alicia keys all had nosejobs, but most girls don't know. You cant stop advertising you CAN stop the idiot idea that this has anything to do with realism. Now boys also are getting issues more and more, overuse of steroid etc. Where is this going???

Seeing as I am not attracted to women in general, real or fake, that's not going to happen. Even if I was straight, I'd still make it a point not to "empower" women based on the skill of their makeup artist or Photoshopper.

I rarely watch television these days, I don't read ladies magazines, I don't look at ads on the street, I don't go to fashion shows, I never watch movies that try to manipulate my purchase, rental or download with displayed female skin. If you can't look at pictures without feeling brainwashed and starving yourselves to a zombie state, maybe you shouldn't look at pictures at all? Or perhaps the zombie really is your natural state? How about you ladies take some responsibility for the workings of your own brains, and stop blaming everything on commercials, "the patriarchy" and all the usuals. Just like your strength is YOUR, so is your weakness. There is no one else to blame.

I am a thin man, and I like thin women. Is this okay? Restricting calories makes us live longer, I read. Also, we're being routinely lied to, as the true number of deaths from eating disorders is miniscule. Aren't we all 'on a diet'? Who can or should eat whatever they want? The fat and the stupid, IMO. If women worked as much as men, outside the home, and worked out as much as men, doing exercise, they'd burn off some of the calories at least, stop obsessing so much, and cheer up a bit too!

Wow, the changes of the celeberties shocked me. I was like "Horray, they look normal!" Honestly, those super skinny people scared me, they looked like they survived three weeks without food on some desert island somewhere. Ugh
I still wonder a bit why the fashion industry chooses skinny models...maybe it's because they have unattainable bodies but that would be a pretty big conspiracy. Anyway, even when I was in high school I said i wanted a hefty built woman "who could survive a tough winter"(really, I actually said that to my friends when I saw an ad with a 'gross' skinny chick in it).
I remember as a young boy sitting infront of the TV and this skinny model (Twiggy) walked across the screen. I jumped up and got in my Grandpa's lap scared asking "what is wrong with her Grandpa?" THe most beautiful thing about a woman I think is her smile. This shows the spirit within. I have loved fat, tall, short, small. If she is happy and happy with herself what an awesome woman.
