  • Bad technique..

And, it´s called USHIRO MAWASHI GERI!

    :)

  • Try in on loose gravel or thick sand...everything looks good on a flat Dojo floor.

  • @BrennerBay you are absolutely right

  • hehe we're being trolled.

  • @OneTekk hehe, yep

  • this is ushiro mawashi geri !!

  • its ushiro mawashi geri because of the spin

ura mawashi geri would be the same kick without a spin

and the push-backwards kick is the ushiro geri

  • i thought that ushiro geri is push-backwards kick and ushiro mawashi is the spinning heel kick?...any way nice :D

  • muito bom

  • this kick has more common names in the real world names like "doesnt work" or "cant be deliverd kick"

  • @nuaheuc Not only this kick works as I knocked out more than 10 opponents in fights with it.

  • @nuaheuc

Doesn't work it in self-defense maybe but in the sport ring, it's awesome.

  • @Stahlvanten awesome yes affactive no you need to be realy quick good and lucky to strike your opponent with it and if you miss... so long balls

  • @nuaheuc

In MMA it's worthless since if you miss your opponent you'll get taken down but in kickboxing (K1 rules, Muay Thai, whatever) it can really suprise people, especially "strict" Thaiboxers. But it's far from a "foolproof" technique (lowkick or gedan mawashi geri and in this video they hit with their foot, the heel is the way to go (can sneak through the guard).

  • @nuaheuc man i dont know who were your opponents and i dont know how good you are but i do know that a round house or any other normal kick is a lot better this is kick

  • i use this one every time in my kumite matches.... it's simply awesome

  • i thought this was called ushiro mawashi geri

  • I actually learned this kick under the name "ushiro ura mawashi geri", don't know if the "ushiro" (back) and "ura" (reversed) are redundant... I know "ura mawashi geri" is a reversed circular kick without the full body rotation, so there's definitely an "ushiro" in the name... In any case, very cleanly executed on the video :-)

  • Hell Yeahh, mijn favoriet.

  • USHIRO MAWASHI GERI !!!

  • This is an: Ushiro Mawashi

  • ushiro mawashi...

  • Goddamn clean technique there!

  • Questo si chiama USHIRO MAWASHI GERi

  • slow one i think

  • that's why my nose looks like it looks now ;p

  • @lethe31977 ahaha that makes me laugh as Ura mawashigeri was the reason I spand last night couple hours in hospital to fix my nose. It was bloody training :D

  • ushiro mawashi geri?

  • this isn't ura mawashi!!!!

  • :X:X:X:X:X:X:X:X

  • what the hell is up with these names its just a spin kick to the face

  • Hell is a four letter word

  • It's called "Japanese." It's from another country o'er yonder, with people who speak another language. Surprise!

Mawashi geri is less words than your "Kick to the Face," so I think it wins in practicality.

  • ...except that mawashi geri does not mean "kick to the face"...

  • @Eatthatchicken it's japanese douchenugget

  • spin kick to put some more force to the kick before you strike continue spining your hips and then throw the kick whit the heel oh same but whit diferrent timing i think i ll upload a video let me get my hands on my camera and ill do that

  • yep, at our school too. so actually its the same kick only with spinning

  • isn't that an ushiro mawashi geri?? if not, what's the difference?

  • ushiro mawashi is a push-backwards kick. Ura mawashi is using the heel to deliver an impact coming from the side of the opponent's head

  • at my dojo we throw ura mawashi without spin, that's the source of my confussion I guess

    thanks

  • The mawashi part means circular and ushiro is backwards/reverse while geri is kick. This makes ushiro mawashi a reverse circular kick. With that name it requires rotation and is certainly not a pushking kick.

Ura as oposed to ushiro does not have the reverse body rotation, but has a circular motion of the foot only.

  • @ninjalla I am sorry but this is an ushiro mawashi geri

  • @ninjalla This is an Ushiro Mawashi Geri... When you kick backward it's called Ushiro Kakato Geri or Ushiro Yoko Geri...

  • @ninjalla

a push-backwards kick is ushirogeri, what you tried to do in the video was ushiro-mawashigeri,

and it's supposed be kicked with the foot going to your buttock first, then kicking, and then coming back to your buttock before standing in a position again

  • @ninjalla it can be called ushiro ura mawashig geri xb i think at least how i learned it

a ura mawashi delivers an impact coming from the side too right?

  • @Speedisreallyme thanx!

  • @JIG1985 that is exactly ushiro mawashi geri "back-circular-kick" the explanation u received for ushiro mawashi geri it was actually for ushiro geri.
