Oh man... I remember seeing a trailer for this game a few years ago on YouTube that didn't have the IGN logo but now I can't find it. Not that I have anything against IGN, it's just, the logo shown at the end actually blocks out about 10 seconds of footage.
64 disks one was mariompaint 1 was sims city and the other 2 didn't boot so there's still a chance to find some more content! The only thing is the guy who owns them doesn't no how to hack and wow u hav no idea wether u can trust someone with wat can b the most precious things in the world
@rjgamefreak so you know, baised on the video, screenshots, etc. Mother 3 IS earthbound 64, just re-made into a 2D game. you see the same characters, same enemies, same plot devices in the 3D screenshots. so if you wondered how this game turned out, play the GBA game mother 3 :)
@CloudHiro Actually, some characters where changed pretty substantially. The Pigmask's, obviously, changed a lot. Claus looked like Ness, Duster looked like Link, Flint rode what appeared to be a Pork Bean, and Kumatora...... Well, her design was..... Toned down a bit. And Lucas..... He looks pretty different. Really, everybody looked different. Onett was gonna appear...... Really, I personally beleive they where completely different games.
@VideoGameExplorers they did complete it, as the GBA game Mother 3, as I said before, all the same plot devices are there, you see the mecha drago in the 64 screenshots, flint, Lucas and Claus, etc.
@mugenlordftw minor diffrence at best, could have been the same amount of content split into more chapters (aka, a chapter ended after each needle was pulled instead of most of the needles being in the same chapter), plus I heard that was only part of the origonal plan for earthbound 64, later down the line I hreard they were going to change the 64 plan so flint only was playable in the first few chapters, again.
1. If there WOULD be a Mother 4, the plot should be an in-between, or at least show how the heck things in EarthBound got to the way they were in Mother 3, considering there were so few references to the previous 2 games and unanswered questions that were'nt. 2. If there will be no M4, I would kiss the first person who hacks M3 so it's nearly identical to the 64 version, plotwise I mean.

Funny how time flies. I remember reading an issue in 1998 before I even knew about Mother games, my 7 year old soul somehow found the game interesting as I had no idea what it was about. No I am a huge fan, is like some sort of destiny, huge shame it never came out.

Eh, I dont know. I'm actully glad they didn't make this for 64 becuase...
1.The RPG system was differnt. I mean, in Earthbound, the thing moves still and you attk exetra. I mean 3D? That fails it write there. Mother 3 was ment for the gameboy(in my opionon becuase, they made Mother1+2 for the GBA! So yes. That explains it.
P.S I tottaly agree with starshkr46, the boney there was horrible
Yeah, doing it on the GBA was sort of a better choice. Besides, I'm not too much of a fan of the N64 versions character designs. I know the original artist didn't work on the character designs in the N64 version, but damn, these are awful.

I don't think earhtbound could work, in 3D.
It's own style of 2D makes it unique, and being in 3D would ruin it.

I'm kind of glad they didn't do it, the 64 did not age well at all.
This may have come out tolerable, but for the most part I can't enjoy but maybe a select few of the system's library.
