Grave of fireflies isn't that great a film. I felt that it didn't do a very good job. The story is sad, but it wasn't portrayed as well as it could have been.

As with any "Top Ten" type video, a real living human had to come up with it. Being based on personal opinions is fine, but stating it like a fact is a bit arrogant unless you back up your claim by popularity, ratings, and so on. However, anime as with anything else cannot solely be judged on these things alone. Many Anime titles tend to fall through the cracks and become short-lived distant memories. Instead of following The popular crowd, why not blaze your own trail into lesser known Anime!

It's not a bad example about some anime, but in my opinion these resemble most of the anime that it's "ok" to like if you're a guy, and leaving out some of the not so mainstream anime like Hoshi no Koe, or jewels like Castle in the sky, Spirited away, 5 centimetres per second etc...

@deckkie Obviously you can't comprehend Miyazaki's movies at all if you think Spirited Away is BAD. He's a skilled director, the sceneries are nice and the story is heart-warming with interesting characters, just to name some props. The smart thing about his movies are that they work with almost all audiences even though they seem childish. He works a different kind of magic, while I admit there are tons of more sci-fi anime movies that are good, like Perfect Blue and Metropolis.

Now you have the ability to make anime beautiful, breath taking at times, thus presentation.
