why is it that no matter where you go...a restaurant, cycle show, bar, bike dealer, or the buell factory....there's always some asshole in the parking lot demolishing his rear tire and heating the motor to the moon. that crap really should have died with the monte carlo ss of the 80's.
@dobypaw i get it and i don't get it. this is about the most childish and destrucive act one can do to a very good motorcycle, especially a buell. and what did he prove other than he's a jerk?
@midatlanticcycle This burnout in noway hurt the bike whatsoever except for destroying a tire. Read the uploaders post and read the last few words. Remember Buell was closed down Oct. of 2009 by H-D... Closed down after beating the Jap bikes in AMA super sport racing and winning the AMA pro stock drag championship over Harley's V-rod. If you do not understand why it was done after this then don't worry about it and do not worry what other do with their bikes!!!
@dobypaw i'm not "worried" about anything, bud. but i can tell you from being a dealer and working on more buells than you'll ever see in 5 lifetimes, that you not only killed your rear tire...i'm certain you did heat related damage to the top end of the motor. but then again, nerds like you just destroy your stuff and move on to the next bigger and best thing.
@midatlanticcycle Your a dumbass the guy in the video is not me!!! Now go repair something!!! Over the past 10 years I have seen many friends do burnouts on big twins, sporties and Buells and all the bikes seam to be running just fine with no repairs done to the motor or trans!!! I could see if he was bumping the rev limiter for several minutes but this was a week burnout. The burnout where a guy goes threw the gears and hits the limiter till the tire blows are the ones that cause damage.
