Right, that was the first thing that came to mind, he's basically a Billy Preston influenced player. Nothing wrong with that, Billy (peace be upon him) remains the most influencial gospel organist of all time. There would be no evolution towards Twinkie or Butch and Co. without the likes of Billy Preston or Alfred Bolden, or Herman Stevens stylistically blazing the trail first.
Yep, all prodigys of Alfred Bolden and Billy, and a few others from old school late 60's thru the 70's. That when these styles really emerged to influence mainstream pentecostal church! thru these few men!
Preston has absolutely nothing on Tyson, Preston makes you want to dance Tyson touches your soul and makes you feel a communion with God... No Comparison!!!
When you get a minute check out my Video channel called:

There are a LOT of inspirational messages from Bishop T.D Jakes, Bishop Noel Jones, Dr. Jamal Bryant, as well as complete episodes of my favorite TV shows like "TV One's Unsung", "I hate Chris" etc....You'll also find videos of my favorite music artist's like Marvin Gaye, Enchantment, Al Green & Gospel Music !
Too many glissandos, he makes the oragn sound like a lion. The hammond organ is a beautiful instruments, I don't hear it in his playing I'm just being honest.
@jrbryant5 There's more than one great organ player in this world... I've known many personally, and Moses Tyson Jr. (who I don't know personally) is one of the best.
@crazykeyscj34 He's good but go check out the guy who inspired him, his name is Billy preston. Like really, go check him out and watch the documentary called unsung. It will bless u. Billy was the best ever at this. Not only did billy do gospel but he played rock, pop, r&b, he did it all. He was soo good he got bored with the instrument and started doing drugs and died in 2006 at the age of 59. Alot of people try to imitate billy. But there will NEVER be another BILLY PRESTON!!!
OMG why di it cut off that part such a cliff hanger

I love Preston and dig the shit out of this. Cheers.
impala327 2 months ago
@jrbryant5 You cant compare the two at all, Moses only plays Gospel and Christ centered music, where as Billy plays more blues and jazz music....
hottgame17 2 months ago
@jrbryant5 Tyson can't be that bad, he has worked with the likes of Billy Preston and Twinkie Clark.
