The combat in this game is actually very easy. While they'll shred you at close range, they're useless at a distance. The assault rifle has a scope mode (right-click) that makes picking them off easy. The AI is so dumb that they won't even notice you if you're a floor above them. The only chance they have is at close range, but your radar doesn't let them sneak up on you. Health and shields also tend to spawn tons in certain rooms on maps, so it's easy to max out if you know where they spawn.

@velocity37 Interesting strategy. I was speaking on the level if a new player where to play the game, play like they'd usually do in any first person shooter, and find out how relentless they can be. From a distance, huh? I never noticed that.
