She was different even as little kid, I remember her when she got her flat top and combat boots back in the 70 and would shock the neighbors even then. Not all do, mrpernell27. But Drag Kings DO get lotsa play these days, and they keep it clean, if u know what I mean. U see, dicks are just dirty. Sorry, but that's a cold hard fact (excuse the pun). THANKS for this Blast-from-the-Past posting. Actually, this track first appeared on her 2nd album (1987's I Enjoy Being A Girl) and not on Folksinger. Boy, I miss Phranc so much. Good 2 hear that at least she's still gigging around LA. Love ALL her music (early punk stuff, too), but Tupperware just doesn't thrill me. Not all lesbians do. Maybe you only notice the lesbians who don't look ultra feminine - there are lots who are - but really, who cares? Why do some straight men date blonde bimbos with fake boobs who look like monsters? Everyone has their preference - perhaps time should be better spent just respecting everyone's choices and not trying to fit them into some narrow little gender box.

I used to drive a shuttle bus from the Anaheim Hilton to Disneyland, and we played Disney music for the passengers. I snuck in Phranc's song "Toy Time."

I saw Phranc open for THE SMITHS in the mid 80's....what a show!

There were a handful of hardcore lesbians shouting sweet nothings at Phranc the whole show! I laughed so much, it was great!

Unfortunately that's all I have from Phranc. I wish I had more - she's great. I first saw her as the opening act for The Smiths in the mid-80s and was blown away.
