The average type of hair grows 6 inches a year, so it could take you 5 years to grow it that long. She growing hers out again and then she coming back to cut it off again in 3 years from now.

Usually when people grow out their long hair the ends get split and the hair starts to look dull and dead, but your hair was silky and shiny. In fact the reason most people cut their hair is to make it healthy again, I'm suprised you cut yours, even for money.
