I don't agree with a lot of his domestic policy, but I voted for Obama for his international policies. The only thing he's doing that I don't like is bowing too much and too deeply. Otherwise, he's handling it real well. We do owe the world an apology. We could of used our superior military force to ensure peace but we used it to secure our interests around the world at the cost of probably over a million lives. We most certainly do owe an apology to the world.

Thanks but they never lie. If they did the left would take them apart. NRO is one of the finest sources out there. They're conservative about their claims and have excellent investigative reporters. What I said (below and not here) was that what that person called a "neocon" was simply a desire to preserve the country, and such a desire is not "neocon" but perfectly normal. Further, I don't condone any foreign adventurism, I'd close 100 of our bases in foreign countries, and I would never use soldiers as social workers. However, we must fight and destroy our enemies and there's nothing wrong with that. That's what successful countries historically have done. Supporting a strong military is a precondition for having a country. There are all sorts of libertarians and I am not an anarcho-libertarian which you may be confusing with ALL libertarians. .

To those who have mentioned it, how does the Matthew Shepard Act hurt civil liberties? The liberty to cause harm to others? The bill has a clause that is called the Rule of Construction. The Rule of Construction says the following,

"Nothing in this Act, or the amendments made by this Act, shall be construed to prohibit any expressive conduct protected from legal prohibition by, or any activities protected by the free speech or free exercise clauses of, the First Amendment to the Constitution."

They can say what they like in the jargon, but the idea behind hate crime legislation is that certain people are more valued by society than others.If you and I get in a fight and I call you a f-g I can face a special penalty along with federal charges for hate merely by calling you a name. It's absurd. The bill is also stupid because the killers of Matthew Shepard got life without parole and needed no other sentence. It's a way of making some citizens morally superior to others and is sick.

However, I honestly believe, all but a small minority of Whites, would be in any position to defend themselves if the angry, violent and criminally minded ghetto residents were unleashed. Yes, I agree. Although I do not classify myself as a modern liberal, I have strong objections to the Patriot Act. But yes, Obama is violating a lot of civil liberties as well (Matthew Shepard Act, for example). The preponderance of those in Washington are pro-big government, which is basically another way of saying anti-liberty for the common citizen. It's time the people speak up.

Not to mention it allows federal retrials for rape accusers - including false accusers - when state jurisdictions declare a not guilty verdict, in violation of men's 5th amendment due process rights and protection from double-jeopardy suits.
