Battlefield 1942 supports up to 64 players and it was released in 2002.

i love this game, but it took me a while to figure it out , its a download only and as far as i know there wasnt a manual to read but an extensive training period for the single player... i never read manuals but i guess thats why i suck at every game, cant think who it was now but they said summat pretty smart ass... knowledge is power!!

A. Read the manual.

B. Play the tutorial level, which more then likely, there is one.

C. Do the typical gamer thing, say "Screw it", and press each button a few times and see what it does.
