Yes in a sense. If Japanese people see something odd, embarrassing or offensive, they pretend it isn't happening. I am not sure why. Women have been sexually abused on crowded trains in this way, as no-one, her included wants to draw attention to it...I am not sure of the cultural reasons...
I like being this drunk sometimes.. you start narrating your life and what your doing to yourself it's rad.
Alright, I'm walkin', hell yeah I'm walking.. and.... you know fuck that chick anyways right? Yeah, she's not worth it man your.. your too cool to.. walkin.. way too cool for her.. she's, shes sheshes lucky tooo even be around.. you... Turnstyle, yeah, you know.. that guy was smart.. the inventor of the ...car.. haha, walkin'.
Unless he walks right the hell off the platform, which I personally saw happen 2 right in front of me at Shinagawa station. It took me yelling at everyone with their jaws on the floor to get someone to push the emergency button to stop the train. Me and some of the station workers pulled him off the tracks...
I'm glad you filmed him. Maybe someone in their society will get embarassed enough to giving alcoholics or drunk people the help they need. If that was my family member or friend I cared for I would not think it was funny or acceptable. How can people look at this and not feel any empathy? This is not normal no matter what country it takes place or how many people are stumbling drunk. Heartless folks do nothing. Unbelievable!
wow, clearly a person who doesnt understand the japanese economy, people lose their jobs a lot in japan for no good reason other than corporate cuts and without benefits its a pretty miserable existence thats all too common, don't be such a fucktard sir.
i think there was a thing in japan that if youre boss invites the workmen to have "few" after work they HAVE to go eventhough they wouldnt want or if they wouldnt have time... and everybody has to drink as much as the boss, it was on of those japanese "unwritten" rules... someone told me that
funny how booze is legal and used girl's underwear is acceptable, but weed is taboo.

good thing he wasnt driving that would be a big mess :D

If you tried to help a guy like that in Japan, it would be the biggest social faux pas EVER. Culturally it's a massive no-no.
I appreciate what you say about alcoholism, but maybe he just had one big night with the boss
kimbalina 2 years ago 7
Ya, I don't really see a problem with that so long as you are not hurting/annoying anyone or driving.
And I know I have been that drunk before but I'm no alcoholic, so I hope people don't pin that on him just for this...
