we dump millions of tons of highly toxic waste into the sea every day,pay 3rd world countries to let us dump millions of tons of highly toxic waste on their land,,pure evil greed fuck adults,,,
What a distressing contrast there is between the radiant intelligence and innocents of a child and the feeble mentality of the average adult!!!!PEACE,,,
Ocean Voyage Institute is making a HUGE effort to clean up this mess. They are currently raising funds to go the North Pacific Gyre this summer with a team of volunteers to collect the plastic and trash that has accumulated there, as well as researching environmentally friendly ways to dispose of it. Please help save our oceans and the wildlife that live there by googling “dream sail raffle” and visiting our website, as well as posting it on your pages!
How did this stuff get into the ocean? That's sick. I mean it seems logical not to dump garbage in the ocean (or any other habitat). In many countries that stuff is just burned or recycled, are there countries throwing garbage into the ocean?
@funkateerkitty the problem is not the "big wigs" it is the small consumer who buys the products. What do you to personally do to not buy these destructive products
A simple solution is carry your re-usable beverage bottle with you daily and grocery bags. We HAVE to become a less disposible society otherwise our future generations will be completely buried in plastic and trash. It is a lifesytle and mindset that WE ALL need to be a part of.

The "debate" on how to clean this up needs to end and we need to just start cleaning it up! Talk talk and talk. The only thing that helps - action. WE HAVE THE SOLUTION - STOP BUYING THINGS IN PLASTIC!
but sad reality just a few care about nature, the most care about profit till the world consume because man merciless exploitation...dammed human beings "few" no offence...
remember goverments dont have sources for environmental care but war, billion and billions sure goverment can clean up the oceans with a big net pulling out as many boats and ships at least one month a year, how many soldiers die in a war thousands so the goverment can use thousands of man and put then into the sea to start the clean up of the waters,
Corporations using the Pacific Ocean to conduct trade and commerce, as well as all vessels small and large need to be TAXED to pay for the cleanup. However most of the cost should be levied against Cruise liners and on business that exploits the oceans (Pacific). Man=PIG !

In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth,
and the heavens are the work of your hands.
They will perish, but you remain;
they will all wear out like a garment.
Like clothing you will change them
and they will be discarded.
But you remain the same,
and your years will never end.
The children of your servants will live in your presence;
their descendants will be established before you.”

i await the day i can put all plastic in a bag and recycle the whole lot of it.
as long as we have to sort different recycling codes and rules the amount of plastic actually recycled will always be low
lejink 1 year ago
@lejink What is sad is that the big wigs with the money are not spending every effort to instal recycling plants for everything...
Think of every dirty pamper that has gotten thrown away times the number of children in the world times the generations so far who have used it...
That is alot of plastic in the dumps folks...stuff that will eventually seep into our water tables...
Check it out...
Also check out Los Alamos...
