Think I've seen nearly every version of this song from fast to slow and this is a great combination of pace, rhythm (like a constand wheels of train) and vocal interpretation. Sad there are not many good examples by women but I aim to at least sing like this at the next opportunity out.
Thank you for posting this video. I saw it over a year ago and it really inspired me to do the same thing. I happened to do this song as my first video and followed it with a few others. I've improved much since then and soon I'll post some more. I really enjoy all of your stuff, I'm a 30 year old Deadhead. Thanks again, Joel.
im glad you replyed to me cause i truly needed to hear this again ...its kinda hard to get bears choice on here ..or im just not lookin hard enough ,i had this on vinal ...lost everything to a fire god i love them words truly memorable friend

The singing really reminds me of Bob. And I like the mellow guitar part for this song, which adds a nice slower more emotional feel to it.

Ooo, tough break on the fire!
Meanwhile, I've got most all of my old Lp's but no record player ... poetic, would you say?

Nope... the dead did not write this tune, but I know it because of the dead, and this was done well. Nice job Smokefrog!
