Tracy's music is pure magic! Last weekend my 18 month old, Cecilia, was in the emergency room suffering from an asthma attack. Desperate to get her to settle down and stop crying, I started to sing "Fast Car." She stopped crying on the second or third word. The look on the faces of the nurses was priceless. Throughout our two-day stay in the hospital, Tracy's songs were played on the iPad to keep her settled through oxygen and breathing treatments. I owe Tracy a debt of gratitude!

I have been listening to Tracy Chapman since I was 15.......which was about a couple of months ago and will continue to do so for many years to come. Music like hers deserve to be listened to and passed down the generations forever
easily compareable to the likes of michael jackson, someone with god given talent. every song is about poverty, hardship, battles against wrong doing. i dont think there is a happy upbeat song on her albums. its sheer artwork, its bringing the worlds troubles into the light, outstanding artist and my top of all time
those artists´s careers will be dead in a couple of years... but Tracy Chapman has a career that will last her life time and ours...

I have been listening to Tracy Chapman since I was 15.......which was about a couple of months ago and will continue to do so for many years to come. Music like hers deserve to be listened to and passed down the generations forever

easily compareable to the likes of michael jackson, someone with god given talent. every song is about poverty, hardship, battles against wrong doing. i dont think there is a happy upbeat song on her albums. its sheer artwork, its bringing the worlds troubles into the light, outstanding artist and my top of all time

I listen to her since I was 6 years old, she is my connection to my soul, she sings about truth, life, love.... she always reminded me there is light even on the hardest times... thank you for your existence Tracy Chapman...

I'm in luv with Tracy Chapman music all over again. It's great u can pick up one of her older songs or current and ur like WOW this is talent. harmonies with Tracy and back up singers are OFF THE HOOK.

@great2luv You are so right. I've been a fan since Fast Car came out. The older I get the more meaning I get. It's like at different times, different songs have profound meaning to me, but they never get old....just rediscovered from time to time.
