If they did a sequel or series 2, then it would have to be quite a few years later because most of the actors, especially Summer Glau, are much older.
@gregvok amen to that! its just fucking fox, if something is not easily digestible and stupidly simple or doesnt get a minimum like 7mil viewers an ep. they shut it down..
Fox aired the episodes out of order, instead of the pilot ep (serenity) airing first, the train job aired first. Fox demanded Whedon not use 9x16 format, but whedon did anyways. Fox aired it in 4x3. Changed the schedule, preempted scheduled episodes, constantly screwed with Whedon on everything. Fox stabbed firefly in the back, never gave it an honest chance. And I'll never forgive them for that.
@eviltreemonster just imagine firefly without book and wash, jayne would have no one to keep him company and would probably butcher entire towns for the shits n giggles. and Zoe would be mopey all the time, mega stoic and would join jayne in his killing sprees, not to mention Alan Tudyk is simply amazing and wash is a great character..
@denholmjeans Yeah... I'm still upset Whedon killed them off. It basically also killed the chance of their ever being another season or movie. I can't imagine Firefly without Wash or Book. For one Wash was my second favorite character behind Mal, and Book was just an awesome addition and he brought a lot to the team. I understand Whedon wanted to provide some emotional loss and depth to the movie, but my real anger lies with fox whose name I will not even capitalize due to my insane disgust
@eviltreemonster they most definetly should, but they can't, it's too late. Firefly was cancelled, and until, a few years later they came out with Serenity, there wasn't enough support to get it back on air, but by then it was too late. But fear not! Cos there's no power in the verse that can stop the browncoats! You can't stop the signal! ;)
@SerenityScore I think if they tried to bring Wash back it wouldn't work because Inara would suddenly have to decide shes not leaving for a while but then it wouldn't be as good without Wash

@y05077 Whedon stated that if he ever got the chance to do Season 2 of Firefly or another movie he'd bring Wash back somehow.
