I work with animal protection in sweden, and i have seen awful things here. But not at all as bad as in Greece, Turky, Spain och Rumania where i have been working aswell. Someone said: "every contry has there own shit" and yes, they have. But with that attitude "the shit" will never change. So strays "irritate" those who don't like animals but I know that the solution is not killing them in any way. I have been raised in Greece & the country's people are not so well-behaved. IThey even bully you from the net for no reason. Saying dirty words & stuff. And the Greek chat rooms are filled with people who just want sex & see you as a piece of meat. So what do you expect? People in Northern Europe at least have more logic & brains even though it is more dangerous to live abroad.
Most of them are friendly, but the others are big and can attack if you have a smaller dog, so they are a bit of a danger. It is extremely difficult to control them when they become many, and it is not so easy to adopt them because in Athens there is so little space even to walk your dog.

I work with animal protection in sweden, and i have seen awful things here. But not at all as bad as in Greece, Turky, Spain och Rumania where i have been working aswell. Someone said: "every contry has there own shit" and yes, they have. But with that attitude "the shit" will never change. So lets hope it will, and that Greece, Sweden, Turky, Rumania and Spain (with every other country) can be alittle bit more shit-free each day.

Most of them are friendly, but the others are big and can attack if you have a smaller dog, so they are a bit of a danger. But of course the country's prime minister is to blame for not taking the appropriate measures. It is common to see strays in the roads of the mediterranenan countries because the weather is good. I haven't seen strays in Budapest, Hungary where I live because in the winter they cannot survive. And so the pounds do not become full of strays.

I think it's noteworthy to say:
1. The problem is greatly exaggerated
2. Many of clips shown are from Greek TV, so obviously, there is awareness and concern of the issue
3. This is hardly exclusive to Greece, so why Greece is the country that is singled out?
I should also point out that the description of the video..."bronze statues and mythology about incest" is demeaning to Greece and its history, and perhaps displays hidden motives or prejudices on the part of the user who posted this.

Please look to the east part of turkey, where there are still no roads and where the people still not have any contact to the outside world, due to the fact that there are still no telephone lines placed. Some schools in Germany up until recently conveniently left out the years between 1936-1945...oops! Just like Turkey probably left out the volumes of atrocities committed against the Greeks in the 600 years they spent oh-so-lovingly ruling Greece, being great, benevolent masters, and finally bringing peace to a land of savages. From my experiences, it's a little difficult to run a country where only old men and women live. The Ottomans wouldnt even let the Greeks learn, and they were supposedly "great" people for controlling Greece? Man, go back to grade school (preferably not in Turkey, thank you) and learn about the whole Turkey-Greece conflict through the years. Come to the U.S and study it, maybe you'll learn something.

Constantinople would never have been taken had the Crusaders not destroyed most of it. Even though the Crusaders laid siege and destroyed most of Constantinople, the Greeks still managed to hold out against the Turks, who had such a large cannon it took days to reload. Hell, if I had something that crazy in the middle ages, I would have made sure I took down a section of wall in one hit, and not spent months standing outside an already-sacked fortress.

Greece is a great country today, even without the extremely generous support of the United States. Sure, they give Greece some money, but much of that is for the purchase of Greece's Hummers, which are much better than Americas. If Turkey wasnt close to the middle east,

Ottoman empire was the largest power of its time with lots of land and lots of nations although Turks formed the empire, since its system based on multicultirism, every nation found its place in ottoman palace and all other governing facilities. So blaiming Turks for what happened good or bad back then is as stupid as blaiming founders of the USA for american foreign politics of today. Well, Greeks didn't show any sign civilization since Fatih Sultan Mehmet took istanbul, erased the Byzantine empire from the history foreve and yet let them live in their shame. Living under the ottoman rule for more than 6 centuries made them so nationalist beyond any logical reason. Since my nation never ruled under some other power I can’t understand their motive. Poor Greeks , maybe they have right to act like that.
