I generally don't comment on youtube videos because the internet is populated by angry kids with guitars, but as a long time Vai fan, I have to say that this is easily the best cover of this I have ever heard. The only reason I can tell it from the original is due to the subtley different phrasing, and the fact that the very accurate amp model is still transisters and not tube circuitry. Well done

This is a GREAT cover of this song - from the tone to the nuances of the phrasing - just beautiful - not exact but very tastefully done and the solo was awesome! Bravo! Is your action really low? I notice you tend to re-pick some of the notes that would normally be held which makes me wonder if you're fretting out a bit. Great job!

Some more info about how it was roughly achieved and the guitar used (pickups etc) would be more welcome, if you'd be prepared to share? BTW, have you ever tried to get an Yngwie style tone out of it?
