  • paul, my late father turned me on to this album and many others. I love the fiddle tunes even though my background is jazz rock. I lost this album but learned to play both these tunes on the guitar years ago and my dad would always ask me to play it for him. thanks for the post.

  • Dear Paul,

    Thanks for your advise, another Friend gave me the advise to get some Buddy EMMONS' CDs, I will follow your advise;

    Thanks a lot!!!

    Chris

  • Haha...persistent little bugger isn't he?

  • That was good fun and definitely better than whatever it was you were (or weren't) watching on telly ;-)

  • Thanks so much.Pictures just to let you know the vid hasn't stuck! lol

  • OH WHAT FUN !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hahaha...oh yes.

  • Wow...more tv and less me in future then! Hahahahaha.....Really;thanks so much for the comment.I truly appreciate it.

  • Great Vid Paul!!!Nice pickin!!!!!

  • Too,too kind.Thanks.

  • Fantastic Buddy Emmons!

    But... but...

You've got a *mirror* behind your tv set?

    :•)

  • Hahaha..mirror there first with small tv in the corner;tv blew up;new tv bigger and nowhere else for mirror!Too lazy to move it really.lol

  • what kind of guitar is that ,sounds sweet*****

  • Thanks.Me..relatively inexpensive Korean Gretsch 5120.Buddy Emmons,I guess,a Sho-Bud pedal steel.

  • It was from '75 or '76 on an `Emmons` 12 string extended E9th pedal steel guitar.

He usually plays a double-neck E9/C6 which is pretty much the norm for steel players.

Buddy is owed a debt of gratitude by all steel players for his development of the modern pedal steel guitar.

  • I only know I love his playing...Thanks for that.

  • Can't tell you how thrilled I am at the enthusiasm with which you're entering into the comment game.lol.Thank you.

  • Quarter speed blues version. lol

  • Dunno how you can..tough old buggers.Took seven arrows and a whack with a tomahawk I'm told.

  • Nice :D Great tune! :) And after a week I hope you'll be able to play it :D

  • Haha.Thank you...we'll see.

  • Great tune!

    What is a WOODCOCK?

Not on the list of critters in America!

  • All killed I guess.Sad.Thanks for the comment.

  • yeeeee-haaaaw! that was fun, man! you need to leave this up for longer than a week so more of us can enjoy it.

  • Thanks very much.I'm so lazy I can't even press delete.Hahahaha

  • Oh man, I enjoyed this even if you were not in it! (the whole time, that is) =D

I can tell you...I don't know the tune, but it's fun just the same!

  • And you're the man to nail it!!If you hear it once more it'll get in your head and you being you:you'll have to do it.Hahahaha.Go on,you know you want to.Save me from myself.

  • I don't own a hollow-body, which is key to the tone, fendermac!

BTW, I just bought another USA Strat. I plan to use it in my next video.

  • Look forward to hearing the new Stratocaster very soon.

  • nice guitar bro ,and nice playing, peace

  • Thanks man.I'll leave this one to Buddy Emmons I think.Haha.

  • Nice Anglo-American fiddle tune! Great guitar! I had one like that, orange, as a loaner in 60s. *****

  • It'll always be a Buddy Emmons tune to me.lol.

  • You know if enough people view it,I'll leave it on.

  • I'll never play it at the right speed or well enough but thanks very much.Thought you'd like it..

  • Never hear this song before. You sounded good in intro. You should have given it a go and if its crap... well look at my videos;)This is a really cracking tune
