how about customize the aqua interface? Shapeshifter was the ones that offered that but so far they have nothing for leopard. I wonder why its so hard for programmers to come up with customizing tools for aqua (grey interface is quite boring). candybar concentrates on icons which i find not usefull (personal opinion).

if I'm right, shapeshifter relied on APE or something similiar, which currently isn't very functional in leopard and also caused a ton of breaks during upgrades
