  • I love this scene and what it symbolizes!

  • Have the media in you're palm... This movie is way too good :D

  • I live performing it in the theatrical version this is my favorite song in it

  • the woman at 0:44 is off the grinch haha

  • this is my second fav song of the movie the first was "he had it coming" still thank you for putting this up i luv the cast and the music

  • my favorite song in the movie!

  • this scene is so fuckin perfect ...damned gringos!

  • I have seen on the original dvd the interviews of the actors in the movie and the making of that musical

They were all singing by themselves including johnny depp, only that last part in the Pirelli's song when he sings in a very high tone was sang by someone else

  • Renee's facial expressions were absolutely entertaining. 0:33 and 2:10 make her look like such a doll! And Mary Sunshine flying the hell around - I can't believe it took me so long to realize how funny that was.

Aside from that, 3:00 is fantastic puppet dancing. The choreography got the image through perfectly.

  • I have to sing Mary Sunshines part, for a PA assesment at school!

    I love this!

  • I love this movie it's my FAVORITE!

  • -Are you sorry??

    -Are you kidding?? xD

  • Mary Sunshine is the best reporter ever!

  • 5 people didnt reach for the gun

  • O.M.J.

  • My brother is just strating to get into the theater and he says if he ever got the chance to be in Chicago he'd play "the sneeky lawyer, so I could tell the press (breaking into song) they both reached for the gun!" LOL!

  • @superganjaaaa lol, i guess u didn't like the song

  • Love it! And the best is that is the U.S in the 30's. Gangters, jazz and cabaret. What more do you want?!

  • favorite song in the whole movie! (and that's saying somethin)

    love the puppets and everything

  • it would be cool if the broadway version was like this..like the puppets in the back

  • The Best Number In The Movie ...

    Loved it :))

  • my symphonic band gets 2 play Highlights From Chicago for our spring concert... it's fun but hard as freakin crap to play.

  • I'm not a big fan of musicals or swing music but i love this movie; especially this song and the cell block tango. This song and the dance are great because the lawyer is just playing Roxy and the press like his puppets.

  • @metalgear523 pop, six, squish, uh-uh, sizero, lipshic :P

  • The best part is the part at the very end, no contest.

  • The only cool part of this song is the very end where he goes: "Both reached for theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee guuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun."

  • :( I want milk. :(

  • Wow. This song and cell block tango are most defo the best songs in chicago ! :D

  • omg i can't agree with you more !!!

  • Haha, I love the, 'Forthegunfortheguntheybothreachedfor. The. Gun.' It's my favourite part. It's so clever.

  • friggin creepy

  • This movie is incredible!

  • Me and my class mates might do this for the school talent show. :))

  • We're doing the whole musical, which will be suprising, since I have to move who plays Roxie! XD

  • Love This song , been searching for it lol

  • im trying to get my class to this in sign language cuz were supposed to do musicals, it'll be tricky. but fun. God help me if we do grease or hairspray. D:

  • My class is learning sigh language too, this would be brill to learn xD

  • I love this song!! I am like the only one in my family who can sing the "they both reached for the gun" when it is really fast... I love this song so much XD!!!

  • Oh my gosh.... I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!! The choreography and the costumes and just everything is AHHHMAZING!!!

  • Lucky the won the Oscar

  • this is so well performed. probably my favourite scene in the movie.

  • I just saw the musical, and it was good, but this movie was better. The sets, the casting, the costumes, and the choreography. Wow. I think that was the first time I have ever said a movie of a musical was better than the actual musical. but this movie was really well made.

  • @cocoabeenut An absolute homage to Mr. Fosse, indeed!

  • @cocoabeenut how about Sweeney Todd the Movie and an actual musical?

  • @TheButtercup94 Johnny Depp can't sing. Tim Burton covered it well but it takes away...

In short the musical is better.

Chicago the movie is just too awesome for words. It's very rare for a movie to capture the essence of a musical so perfectly, <3

  • @YourFavoriteAries johnny depp sang in sweeney todd. he used to play in a band for fun during his younger years as well

  • @ahbee13 He sang in it but he didn't sing well. They also changed allot of the complex music so he could do it and I think it takes away from Sweeney Todd the movie.

  • musicals these days could learn a lesson from the older ones.

  • I just realized that I have never been able to stand Richard Gere--something about him gets on my nerves; I can't put my finger on it. Chicago is the only movie I can bear to watch with him in it--I love this clip from the movie.

  • sorta like a Gerbil thing {if you dont know what im talking about google richard gere and gerbil [Be warned]..

  • she is fantastic!

  • Oh yes, oh yes, oh yes they both, oh yes, they both, oh yes they both, reached for...

The gun, the gun, the gun, the gun, oh yes they both reached for the gun, for the gun!

    ITS SO CATCHY!

  • I KNOW! I;ve been singing it all day!

  • @star0shadows catchiest song ever love it.....

  • This song is really neat.

And plus she is really cute ;D

  • omfg u cant tell me richard gere dont luk jus lke alec baldwin! lol

  • i love this movie!! there isn't one song in this musical that I don't love! i never knew richard gere could sing so well before i saw this movie =]]

  • the song is brilliant, he manipulates the prense and the glass on the final was a drug for stomach like "an indigest story" XD

but the make-up is brilliant, they really look like their faces are made rom wood

  • all the musical bits of this movie are AMAZING!

  • i have to do a dance to this hahaha

  • cool

  • Omg I LOVE this song! OH YES OH YES OH YES THEY BOTH OH YES THEY BOTH OH YES THEY BOTH REACHED FOR THE GUN THE GUN THE GUN THE GUN OH YES THEY BOTH REACHED FOR THE GUN FOR THE GUN

  • sorry i meant you that's good it took me about anhour to learnthat and the funny thing i have dvr

  • I agree... without Richard Gere. But Renee and Catherine are bothhhh AWESOME..... this song is very funny it demands a great synchro....

  • that's good

  • Haha I agree. This scene had her best acting in it because Richard Gere was acting through her.

  • haha totally

    she is wierd

  • ha i agree

  • he was one of the only reasons i liked this movie

  • Awesome musical. Awesome Songs.
