Max's question about why the media would portray average Americans with such contempt (like pigs being fed), is a very valid one. Modern TV media produces work that echoes charts and viewing data that is in essence invalid. The research leads them to simply ape what has already been made and so fail to create new content thus creating work that is in itself contemptable. Their self contempt for producing such garbage is projected on the perceived audience as a way of evading responsibility.
