  • am i the only one that loved this movie as a child, and rewatching it now is thinking, what the hell is wrong with my parents for letting me watch this?

  • My idea for a sequel: It takes place in modern times, and CGI is starting to take over traditional animation and Roger is trying to stop it. Or something like that.

  • best part is the ducks piano dual

  • Im suprised you could put all that in a trailer

  • Ohhh Jessica Rabbit, my all time sister(favorite) always gorgeous. She may had something about sex but altleast she's not vulgar like Holli Would ;-*

No, but this does - (ka-BAAAAM)

  • Can't believe this actually used to be one of my favorite child hood movies

  • @Viercess What's that supposed to mean?

  • I remember I used to love that movie, I must have watched it 20 or 30 times.

  • This movie rules!

  • Thumbs up if you all want Who Framed Roger Rabbit re-released in 3D like Lion King!

  • @declanappleseed OMG THAT WOULD BE FUCKING AMAZING.

  • Add funeral scene please!

  • rumoring around that will be who framed rabbit 2 movie in 2013. only 3D, not combine cartoon and live action.

  • @deafhero Somehow I'm not so sure they should make a sequel. The first was definitely good, I don't want the sequel to make this classic film lose its reputation. Plus, the actors and actresses are getting pretty old now. It was 23 years ago.

  • i still thinks cool world was a better cartoon/live action movie.

  • BLU RAY PLEASE!!!!!

  • My favorite childhood movie! :D

  • I'm pretty sure this has something to do with Toontown Online.

  • @Ps2dude87cp Roger Rabbit > Toontown Online

  • If you Draw Her and an Artesian Person, is she born Out of the Surrogate Clone Station with Blond Hair, or From Vaultek Simulations in Cartoon Form! Who needs to Draw anymore with Military Juvenile Dreaming Stations & Machines?

  • Murder, sex and violence! Toons used to be sooo GREAT!

  • i remember back in the days from the 90's that movies were about compassion, love friendship, honour,integrity...nowdays its just about explosions, sex and remakes.

  • I'm a pig, never saw that scene!

  • dose anybody notice the baby cusses at 0:50?

  • everything is owned by disney...dang..i would be surprised if by 2015 my breakfast cereal belonged to disney.

  • @MrTWISTEDHUMORable haha! or your car belonged to it in 2026

  • @baileybushey I know..lol..could u imagine a disney made car? 0.o

  • @TheGpalos It was released under Touchstone Pictures in 1988, and had a PG-rating. It was intended for adults. Touchstone pictures is owned by Disney.

  • @TheGpalos Yes.

  • One of my favorite movies of all time!

  • @BooBop1987 They are coming out with the sequel soon.

  • @Mavericker7 Oh yeah I allready notices!

  • It's amazing! A production of 80 years can be so amazing of make a movie that?!

  • This is my favorite movie

  • This movie is the definition of an "Iconic Film"

  • this is probably one of my favourite films of all time, ever. hahaha

  • "Tell me Eddie.. is that a rabbit in your pocket or you're just happy to see me?"

    LOL

  • @CrooningFebbre First time I saw that film, I was completely naive of that scene - which was a few months ago. I got it 2nd time around. Guess that went over the kids heads pretty quick.

  • *as continued from previous post*

Whilst kids are NOT stupid & can be intelligent, kids DO pick up on things & sadly, standards have changed over time so that what was once acceptable in year's past isn't as acceptable now. Ironically, we've teens now watching insulting trash like Family Guy in attempts to be cool, all because such shows have swears, blood, sex, & violence, most of which is a LOT more twisted than what was shown in the 80s/90s generation.

  • This movie used to scare the crap out of me!

  • @AlyssaGB89 Judge Doom when he revealed his "true" form was absolute nightmare fuel for me as a child

  • hungarian rhapsody no.2 makes this trailer!

  • I remember how this movie used to give me the chills as a kid...mainly because Judge Doom doesn't blink.

  • Who still says "CGI" can't beat animation, blah blah blah, have a look at Disney's last animated feature "Tangled" and then we'll talk ;) I'm not saying one beats the other, they're both awesome in their own way.

  • @Legend1315: It may be CGI, but Tangled works JUST LIKE one of Disney's traditionally-animated classics, which is WHY it is a success. If it were based on animation alone, hand-drawn animation often seems more heartfelt & genuine, because even with animation errors that are prevelant in shows that are animated overseas or anime that is dubbed by American dubbing divisions, 2D animation has something that machine-produced animation digitized by computers doesn't.

  • I haven't aren't that movie in a long time

  • Like all of yesterdays treasures, it had a soul.

  • Happy birthday Roger! 23 years old today

  • You know I've been trying to find this on dvd and still can't find it!!!!! I loved this movie!!

  • @ojmccaf63 have you looked on Amazon? I found it at a Blockbuster that closed down near me

  • Today is Roger Rabbit's 23rd birthday! Happy Birthday Roger!

  • I SIMPLY LOVE IT

  • Hubba Hubba Hubba!

  • What was the premiere date to this trailer?

  • The ending scene (people who have seen this know as a kid what i'm talking about) always scared the shit out of me JUST-LIKE-THIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIS.

  • Chuck Norris framed Roger Rabbit.

  • "The following Preview has been approved to all audiences"

uh huh... SUUURRE that's why it says:

"HOW MANY TIMES DO WE HAVE TO DO THIS DAM SCENE"

    and

"It's a motiion picture about friendship, love, compassion, murder, sex, and violence"

Yup, that just screams family friendly

  • Press "8" and "WHIPLASH".

  • Push "6" and he's punching his butt.

  • One of my all-time favorite movies.

  • awooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That was the first movie i saw in theatres!

  • I smell spongebob on the next sequel lol

  • The trailer makes the movie look a bit cheesy, its actually a good movie though

  • @perun1nj - it's kinda interesting...Disney AND WB characters were licensed for the film, but they had an agreement where they could only show Mickey and Bugs in the same scenes, as they are each the most iconic animated characters of their respective companies; they had to share equal screen time. Was probably too much extra legal work to get one or the other into the trailer.

At any rate, it is - to date - the ONLY time Mickey and Bugs have shared screen time. Kinda cool film history!

  • i haven't seen this since i was a kid i need to get this

  • Me: Who wants to watch this movie?

    Taylor: I do :D

C.J.: U just wanna watch it cuz of Jessica Rabbit! :/

    Taylor: ..........Shut up!

  • i remeber this!

  • fuck tweety in 80s

  • i saw this movie when i was 5 now i have 17 i rebember it today :D

  • the trailer looks horrible but its actually a pretty good movie. ive seen it a couple times. and yes your right its not a movie directed at kids. i think it was made more to make parents laugh

  • @0Rebelde Indeed it was a deconstruction of the animation age at the time

  • I can't believe they resisted the urge to throw Micky and Bugs into the trailer.

  • @34RiverStone you mean you havent seen who framed roger rabbit?

    how about blade runner?

    empire strikes back?

    return of the jedi?

    apocalypse now?

    raiders of the lost ark?

any other classics I have to list before you get the picture?

  • @hcvang ummm... not seeing a movie like who framed roger rabbit isn't a sinful crime or something. Ofcourse you can disagree with me on wether it's a good movie or not, and you probably didn't like my coment beacuse you probably like this movie, but in my opinion this desn't look like a movie I'd want to see or should bother seeing.

and i have seen return of the jedi, have heard of blade runner, but have never heard of or seen the others before. Um, I don't really get ur point.

  • ...You mean to tell me....you could have taken off those cuffs at ANY TIME?

not any time...only when it was funny

  • How exactly did Disney get away with a movie like this?

  • @Joemamma69000 Let's not forget that they've released films like 'Inspector Gadget' and 'The Country Bears'. I'm not surprised at any of their releases. Though this one was rather risqué, I thought it was a neat change of tone. It's not for kids, but it shows that animation can be for adults.

  • @GoldenFlither15 He swears like twenty times in this movie.

  • @Joemamma69000 Like I said, I don't think the target audience was children.

  • hahahah this is so funny but is this the real trailer?? idts its just cause the trailer wouldent say SEX

  • 3:14 YouTube video: Who Framed Roger Rabbit; Movie Trailer, 1988.

March 19, 1933: birth of Richard Williams, Canadian animator. He is best known for serving as animation director on Disney/Amblin's Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

  • LOL!!! Okay, so the pig scene was a deleted scene, but it's still funny to see it show up in this trailer. It's just so random and out-of-place. I guess that's what makes it so funny. *scene you're familiar with, scene you're familiar with, AAAAH I'M A PIG, back to another scene you're familiar with* lol

  • @TheScatsbury Actually, it had its place...Valiant wouldn't stop snooping around and The Weasels had him "Toonarooned" because of him being stubborn or "pigheaded" and the scene would've fit in right before Jessica Rabbit headed into Valiant's office looking for Roger.

  • @CAWGregoryBlack how bout when jessica is in the room and bobo? And the funeral scene is right before the pig headed scene

  • The toon at the end of this film scarred me for life...

  • lol i used to think that rojer rabbit was real when i was little and that there were cartoon caracters walking around in disney land

  • this movie scarred me when I was a kid xD

I did not go on the roger ride at disneyland for years...

  • lol 2:16 and 2:33 and 2:42

  • i haven't watched this movie since i was like 4 and have been wanted to watch it for awhile and i cant believe this is actually a kids movie i don't remember it being that bad lol :)

  • lol to think i thought this was a kids movie LOL!

  • "Now tell me, Eddie. Is that a rabbit in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?" ROFL!!

  • This movie gave me nightmares as a kid XD

  • @rosered1359 Gosh me too. I absolutely hated the ending and the general darkness of the movie. I remember watching only the beginning in cartoons and stop before I got too scared.

  • Bill Murray in this would have been EPIC!!!

  • This movie never gets old.

  • @catloverattack

Damn you took my words right out of my...keyboard?

  • Ilove this movie, but when I was younger, the Doom vs. Eddie scene scared me when Doom had his eyeballs popped out.

  • good times of my childhood watching this movie

  • "A movie about friendship...love...compassion...SEX."

  • @kylesullivan96 Just what all young children are interested in seeing!

  • How is it possible to not love this movie?

  • GREAT movie.

  • aaaahhhhh....the memories...

my all time favorite movie when i was a kid.....

    :'-)

  • I used to watch this every day when I was 6.

  • how'd the hell did they managed to perform such a great motion tracking and such back in '88??

    awsome

  • @Tha0men No CGI whatsoever. Just plain talent.

  • How did I watch this when I was a kid?

  • can someone tell me how the hell this was considered a childrens movie? lol

  • Traditional animation beats CGI everytime, after over 15 years this movie looks just as awesome. CGI looks worse every year, traditional animation just keeps looking better

  • @sonickid101 I Absolutely agree.

  • Sex, & violence. Wow.

  • Judge Doom scared me when I was younger.

  • Good movie the visuals are top Disney work! I miss this kind of movies. Hollywood and Disney can't make a shit now days

  • When I was a child, I always thought this was an adult film, probably about a 12. I didn't watch the film until I was eighteen but I never assumed it was a children's film.

  • Fun to know that a movie trailer like this can give you the wrong idea of the movie LIKE: There is no sex and there was no pighead in the movie!

    Hoe about that!

  • I always go "Ooga-booga" over this movie!!

  • i'm not bad i'm just drawn that way , my alltime favorite

  • Where the heck did the pig scene come from?

  • @kodackmaster - It was cut. I think there's a scene in which he comes out of a shower in the movie- the pig scene happens before that bit.

  • Deleted Scene:

Eddie broke into Jessica's Dressing Room via the window, and got jumped in the dark. Eddie Chased them, but got caught by Bongo (the Gorilla Bouncer) who knocked him out. He woke to find Judge Doom standing over him, and he questioned him. Then The Weasels took him to spend the night in Toontown's PD. When Eddie came out, the pig head was painted on him. He ran back to his office to find (@ 2:36) that he got the toon-a-roo. he showered it off, and that's when Jessica came around.

  • @kodackmaster check out my response below. I didn't just post it here cos i had too many characters.

  • @kodackmaster

It was a deleted scene that Zemekis regrets taking out.

  • @kodackmaster Wouldn't you like to know?

  • @kodackmaster They cut it down I guessed. Some scenes with Jessica Rabbit was unused too finally.

As far as I can remember, as I read on DisneyWiki, the Weasels "toon" the detective. I guess the movie could have been too long with it. (Or a bit too scary... come on pig face like that, I wouldn't loved it. )

  • @kodackmaster Go to IMDB. It explains the origin of it there!

  • @kodackmaster Oh, that was a deleted scene. They removed it at the last minute because it would have dragged the movie out.

  • @kodackmaster

The "Pig head scene" was cut out from the film. I don't remember where it begins, but it ends when Bob Hoskins gets out of the bathroom in his office and then Jessica comes. I think the hyenas get him and bring him to Toon Town and give him the pig face (a sign of humiliation) for warning. Then he goes in his office and washes it off in the bathroom. Check out the special features on the DVD for this scene.

  • @kodackmaster Deleted scene

  • @kodackmaster LOLS!! That must be a deleted scene.

  • @kodackmaster Looked like a deleted scene to me

  • @kodackmaster get the dvd, youll find out

  • @kodackmaster I know. It must be either a deleted scene or a concept that was removed after the trailer was made. Hollywood in the 80's...go figure.

  • @kodackmaster In an earlier draft of the script Eddie got costumed up as a toon by the weasels as he was exiting Toontown.

  • I have many memories of this! I so remember my mom renting this tape for me and my little sister in 1989 about . I was just 5 years old and fell in love with it...thats probably the reason why I like Dick Tracy so much because of the mobster and villains thing reminded me so much of Roger Rabbit. I so wanted my mom to buy this for me...She almost turned the TV off when she overheard one the gangster coyotes replying "What the hell is a freeway?!" Of course I lauged my ass off.

  • Supposedly, there is going to be a Roger Rabbit 2 coming out in 2012. According to Wikipedia. :P

  • good to see the Wind in the Willows weasels getting some use.

  • the last scene when the evil man gets stomped by the steamroller, I found it very disturbing when I was a kid.

  • I love that movie

  • I was never aloud to watch this!

  • @TheZooDork that's weird, there isn't any sex or bad nudity in it, or maybe my parents didnt watch it closely

  • so I hear this is finaly getting a sequal, all Im saying is the Anamaniacs better show up or all of us cartoon nerds are gonna be pissed!

  • And also imagine Peter And Lois hiding in Kevin James's closet Tom Tucker getting the fear of Billy The Puppet Stewie And Brian annoying Shia Labeouf by singing Just Stop Meg phoning John Cena Tricia Takanawa gets caught in the bed by Jack Nicholson Chris kills the Evil Monkey and Quagmire throws bear at Jeff Goldblum.

  • And also Billy from Saw is the main antagonist

  • I would like to see a movie like this one but with Family Guy Characters instead it would be distibeted by 20th Century Fox and the movie will recive an R Rating it will star Kevin James Willem Dafoe Michael J Fox Eugene Levy John Cena Mickey Rourke Michael Clarke Duncan David Draiman Jeff Goldblum Johnny Depp Jack Nicholson Shia Labeouf and Samuel l Jackson as the real worl characters where they meet the entire Family Guy Characters after they get transported.

  • @123pudsy I love that idea. :)

  • @smores112 wikipedia said... Idk if it's real. But I was excited
