Thanks SO much for this video! I was just able to go there last week from San Francisco-- wow, what a trek! It was quite wet and parts of it were like climbing up a waterfall. Talk about isolated! Your video that showed the path to take from the gate saved the day!
@CoyKiyote I'm so glad it helped as it's one of the reasons I did the video (after the first time when I got lost). And I've been up there in the rain - the slate part of the path is incredibly treacherous...other pilgrims beware! Thanks for the feedback.
@angrybonbon I'll add that at 1:33 a couple of dogs came charging out to greet us from the house but they stopped twenty feet short and just watched us.
@angrybonbon ~ I believe the Irving's story, however, what is most disturbing is that gef was probably demonic in nature. ~ It sure sounds like it to me.
What happened to the farm house ? Sad there is nothing left of it. Was it torn down or just fell down ? I loved the story of Gef, recently read it. Thank you for the video. I wonder more about you ? since you made the interesting video. You should tell about yourself. I wish I lived in England. Fascinating place.
Great video. Was fascinated by this story as a child, moved to the island in 1999 and back across in 2002... miss the place so much, and if only I'd known my favourite pub was so close to the story! Truly enchanted place, Ellan Vannin.
awesome!

Do you live in the isle of man?

@kenfan4life well, the pov is atleast 1,5 metres higher then the average hight of a mongoose.

@Arnoud4 Yeah, but Gef is extra clever. I'm sure Gef could find a way to get the POV of a grown man. ;)

@edgoonette lol.. I forgot about that

Can't wait to visit the Isle of Man and "Gef"'s old haunts. Until then, your wonderful video is the next best thing. Thanks so much for sharing it!
