You forgot to mention Enheduanna, daughter of Sargon I and great-priestess of Sîn during early akkadian period. To this day, she's the very first listed writer of mankind. I recommand her poetry and hymns made all in glory of Ishtar.
It's exquisite...
Despite not being assyrian myself, I'm 100% behind this ethnic group. They're courageous enough to resist about 30 genocides of arabo-islamic scum...
You sure, worthy people of Irak, Russia or Israel, can be proud of this legacy !
The Ancient Assyrian empire was not only limited to the current state of Iraq, it stretched outside the traditional Middle Eastern borders.
Of course the ancient Assyrians were not Christian, they are classified as "ancient" for a reason. Are the modern Greeks practicing the pagan religion of their ancestors? No. Did the ancient Greeks have a different religion than modern Greeks? Of course. Same with the Assyrians. I suggest you do some reading, peace.
@xMesopotamia I think you only have a single neuron running in your head. It does not take long to look up the genetic history of Assyrians and actually read for yourself and see that modern Assyrians ARE descended from ancient Assyrians. What does religion have to do with anything? Are European Americans any different from Europeans just because Americans are a bit more atheist? And real Assyrians are not extinct- there are 3 million of them in the world.
@satoofi93 Arabs are Hammites (sons of Ham) and Assyrians, Sumerians, Akkadians, Chaldeans, Babylonians, and Jews are Semites (sons of Shem). How can we consider someone who is not genetially related to us as being one of us? Do you consider Germans and Nords as being similar to you?
@satoofi93 So if I speak English that makes me related to the English? I can't convince you to believe that we are very different genetially from Arabs (since you don't believe in the geneology in the bible), so it would be a waste of debate. We as humans might have some genetic similarities, but there is a reason why we all have different looks, physiology, brain size/structure. Else we would all look the same. But you might be a guy who believes we came from apes. Who knows.
@anosh88 So, according to your logic, lots of Russians and British look alike because the Russians raped the British?
Arab crusaders? Don't make me laugh (I'm doing my best to not disrespect you).
Watch "Zeitgeist." Or "The God That was Never There." Bible might have few archaeological facts, but that's probably because it copies from histories of other cultures around it, especially Mesopotamia.
Did it ever occur to you that people in the same region usually look the same?
@satoofi93 Actually, there are many physical differences between russians and the British. Russians never raped the British so what is your point in bringing that up? Even during World War 2 the Russians were not even able to cross their own borders due to German advance. Again, the bible copying cultures is just an opinion. You fail to show me facts. You can disrespect me if you want. I'm only here to correct people who are mislead about our race. People from the same region CAN look alike,
@anosh88 If some Russians and British look alike, does that necessarily mean that they raped them? That's my point.
Noah's Flood is a Sumerian story. 7 days of creation is a Sumerian story. Bible + Qura'an + Torah = nonsense.
Iraqis, Syrians, Egyptians, Lebanese, and North Africans are Arabised, not the Assyrians. Assyrians are non-Arabs. Iraqis, for example, are Arabs with non-Arab ancestry, usually.
@satoofi93 But do you think that the Japanese consider Filipinos to be of the same race as them? or even the Vietnamese and Thais? How about Nords and Italians/Spaniards? Arabs come from an entirely different lineage from Assyrians. You have your own agenda and just selecting what you want to believe instead of actually scouting around for information. If you are ever familiar with the term 'Arabization, you will know why many Assyrians look like Arabs. But in places where they were not
@satoofi93 discriminated against and raped (as they were in their own country), you would notice a huge difference between Assyrians and Arabs. Watch the history of Assyrians in Russia and see how Assyrians who fled the holocaust look like. I'm sure you'll give me the excuse 'they mixed with Russians and that's why they look the way they do' when these people are a minority and knowing Russians for being homogenous, I doubt they would mix with Assyrians. Assyrians are endegamous. Read about it.
@satoofi93 By the way, if you deny that Arabs did not invade and rape indigenious Mesopotamians, you would give ME a reason to disrespect you. Not only did Arabs rape and invade Mesopotamia, they also conquered and raped Spain, southern Europe, Northern and Eastern Africa (look at Ethiopians, Eritreans, Kenyans, North Sudanese, Djiboutis, etc), Central and South Asia, and parts of East Asia just to spread their sadistic religion, Islam, then you are in complete denial and need to catch up.
@anosh88 I'm not denying the Arab rape of Mesopotamians. But that's what Spanish did to the native Americans. Arabs aren't the only ones.
Christianity raped the Natives of South America, committed massacares to North American natives, and killed Middle Eastern Christians through crusades. What a religion of peace and love. -_-
@satoofi93 Never said the Arabs were the only ones, but they did to Assyrians and other races. As far as the Spanish raping the Indians, I don't deny that, but they did not do it in the name of Christianity, it was simply an age of crusades and collonialism. Even if it WAS about religion, Christians around the world would have stood up and protested and make sure to bring justice (just as they protest for 'murder of innocent Palestinians' in Israel and 'Palestine'.)
@anosh88 The Natives were Satanic in their views, so they wouldn't care at all about them getting raped and exterminated. Christianity is not as lovely as it looks like. In fact, it appears lovely because it's hiding under secularism.
@satoofi93 It's like you're either illiterate or just plain dumb. You first defend the natives to attack christianity (in addition to saying that christianity shows a lovely image due to its secularism. So being secular is evil???? aren't you considered secular since you hold to the belief that there is not God?), then you call me a Christian Arab when you recognize Assyrians in your previous comments. You really do have a single neuron running in your head.
@anosh88 You need to enhance your literacy skills. However, I'll be kind and explain it all:
Secularism is not atheism. Atheism is the belief that there is no God, while secularism is the belief that religion should be seperated from the state matters. Secularism does cover Christianity's evil face because almost every Christian country is secular.
I did NOT call you an Arab Christian, I wrote that there are Arab Christians. Never wrote anything about you personally since I don't know you.
@satoofi93 'There are many Arab Christians like you' What does that imply? maybe *you* should enhance your literacy skills. As far as the TERM secularism goes, it can be used to label anyone with a 'closed' ideology that is unwilling to believe anything else, which is what you are if you actually *think* about it. By the way, it's not the religion that makes someone backwards, it is the person. If you ever step into a church, you will rarely find anyone who is not a university graduate.
@anosh88 Arab Christians are like you in terms of being Christian. If I wrote, "Arab Christians, like you," then you have the right to say that I told you're an Arab. There's no comma.
It's because you live in a secular society. Try living in a Judeo-Christian theocracy and see the incredible backwardness.
@satoofi93 And if Judeo-Christians are backward, why are we all not living in caves, but rather live mostly in quiet and clean suburbs, have stable jobs and are middle and upper class, accept other people's lifestyles but they take it offensively when we tell them what they believe? We actually have a more broad mind than you think. You should really giving me meaningless answers because you really have no point so far in everything you said. The conclusion is, you're an atheist and Im Christian
@satoofi93 The reason some Assyrians look Arab is due to racial mixing with them, or rather Assyrians being raped by the Arab crusaders. You really need to catch up on your history as much as you are caught up with your libertarian mumbo jumbo. If you have any proof that shows the Bible makes no sense (with the all archeological evidence pointing to its validity), I'd be happy to see it.
Only civilized people can appreciate the place of Mesopotamian people (Iraqi people) in the history of the world.
America has commited a genocide on the Iraqi people over the last 20 years.
3 million deaths, 5 million orphans, 2 million widows, radioactive poisoning of Mesopotamia for eternity with Depleted Uranium, theft of Iraqi archaeology.
I went to the British Museum earlier this year, it was amazing. The Mesopotamian Halls are the biggest in the Museum, I can't describe the feeling of pride I had, the emotions you experience are incredible. They had a Stele of Hammurabi perfect replica, the Cuneiform on there is beautiful. I enjoyed the Persian and Egyptian Halls aswell. If I lived in London i'd be there every week. Best to go early in the morning as you will spend all day there.

@anosh88 Arabs speak Arabic which is a Semitic language which makes them Semites.
It's the language you speak as a native laguage that defines you as a Semite, Aryan, or Mongoloid.
There's no genetic differences between you and an Arab, black person, or a north European person.
There was never "Sam" or "Ham," as there was never a god.

@anosh88 You have to speak English as a native language and all of your ancestors must speak it as well to be related to a German.
There's not a single evidence for biblical nonsense.
