  • very nice video

  • I have had nothing but problems with my Lama 2-1. The motors died with in 15 flights. For some reason the pinions always want to fall off of the shaft on the new motors and now I think my Rx is shot.

I spend more time fixing it than flying it. Is it supposed to be this frustrating? After reading all of the threads I dont know if I should buy a new Lama 2-1 try a different Walkera model or a different manufacturer all together.....

  • No! Its not supposed to be frustrating. My first Rx lasted 2 days and I'm on my 4th set of motors, the suggested average is about 40 flights, I got that on just 1 set. Walkera quality contral is 50/50. I myself have debated on getting a new wakra heli or something else but they all have problems. The CB100 is popular right now. but the Lama 2-1 if you get a good one is more capable then the Blade mCX . Good Luck

  • Is it just me or when you make major movements on this heli it can make it kind of go in a toilet Bowl Effect? or it doesn't happen to you because your good at maneuvering it so it doesn't happen?

  • The key to flying a sensitive heli like this, is to make smooth maneuvers. Fast or snap movements of the stick will make the Lama lose control.

To adjust the "toilet bowl" effect try tightening the blades a bit; this should help them move not so loosely. Then offset it with a little tilt to the left (with the stick) and it should then fly straight. ;)

  • Thanks man, tightening blades helped! how bout the gyro screw you can adjust what does that do and can it help?

  • the Gyro tries to help the Lama from not spinning. you can try the gyro, turn just a little at a time and if the lama starts to shake you have gone to far. Be careful its delicate.

  • My lama2 is back to the service rcflyer ; )

I'll make some videos to show you.

I just received the new metal parts.

It was a sugery to install..hehehe but I did it.

  • That is cool! send me a message when you get the vid uploaded

  • hey, where did you get that camera that you mount to your transmitter, and how much?

  • camera is the Flip Ultra. go to " Lama 2-1 Outside " on that video you can see what it looks like.

  • They have a new one the Flip Mino HD, it's smaller and lighter then the Flip Ultra and has twice the resolution it's $230 ouch.
