So precious! I found a manx 2-3 years ago, badly abused (missing fur, bad wound on her leg, very skinny, was afraid of people, the whole 9 yards). I thought the lack of a tail was part of her abuse, however, 6 months after I took her in, she had a litter of 6 kittens and only 1 had a tail! lol Now, 2-3yrs later, she is one of the best cats I have ever had! My lil Midnight has to sleep with me by my head and she won't budge until she knows I'm asleep. I wouldn't trade her for anything! :-)

I love manx cats. I've had himalayans, siamese, domestics...but by far, the manx is my favorite species. Always told me all about their travels. Would have naps with me for hrs on end. If I moved to another room, they'd follow...but not be underfoot or annoying about it. Currently, I am catless, but that's ok...I have a baby silver tabby manx coming in 2 weeks :D He's just with his mum getting cuter by the day.

OMG, this makes me want to get another Manx kitten. Mine (Joe Mauer) just turned 4 last month and I love him to pieces. He played just like that as a kitten, I too got him when he was around 8 weeks old. So much fun. I love how you mentioned that he curls up near your neck, cos mine did the same thing when I first got him. Oh, the memories! Mine is also a rumpy-riser with a smidge of a tail vertebrae but no tail... more of a fluff of fur.

he looks like my kitten Sheamus except Shea has a long tail. Been trying to figure out exactly what he is. We just say he is domestic Short hair because we had no clue what he is. He is different. He looks like a dreamcicle with a tiny head and big ears. And then he has rabbit feet.he is adorable though. Acts just like your kitten. He is 13 weeks right now.

He is precious! I have a rumpy. She can jump from the floor, to the top of the refrigerator or your shoulders. They are a wonderful breed, and mine brings me such joy.

Aw.... so cute! My own kitten looks almost like yours but he's a little on the scrawny side being the runt of the litter and all... plus he caught cat pinkeye from his mom so I have to rub him with ointment and he hates me for it. D:

When I purchased my manx from the breeder she said once you have one, you'll always have a manx. I cant imagine not having her around.

My manx is called Dexter he is a long haired grey tabby with a white belly and he seems to play exactly like yours =) He also fetches, sitting on command (for a treat of course) and walks on his leash. He is also a rumpy just a little bit of a tail. Your kitten will get quite stocky as he grows up (how big is he now) and watch out coz the breed can just REALLY high, haha and I mean high!

My cat is a 'rumpy-riser'. His name is Bramble.He is beautiful! He is a dark brown tabby with a white strip on his nose. I've had him for over 3 months now,and he has the same personality as your gorgeous kitten! He fetches [sometimes >.>] ,follow me constantly,and rambles on and on. Hence his nickname ...Brambler-Rambler. xD Always, Before bed ,he sits on my lap while im at the comp,and loves to lay on the keyboard. xD ..Manxs' are great cats...And yours is SOOOO adorable!!

Actually you have a "rumpy riser" (like mine) & he's precious. A stumpy has more of a tail, and a less-prevalent Manx gene, so that's a good thing. A rumpy riser still has enough to wag, but less likely to have the severe mutations that the rumpys are prone to.

These cats have the best personalities. Mine sits, speaks, comes when you call him, and plays fetch. He follows me around everywhere I go watching every move I make, so I named him Caboose.

You can get most breeds to do it, but fetch is instinctive to Manx and Polydactyls. They'll wear you out and it's wonderful. That's how you know it's a real Manx! :P Stop by and check out my video of Caboose fetching.
