  • Arrangement = F. Singer = C+... He's too young to be trying this aria. Good way to ruin the voice! At least the one judge said the material was too obvious...

  • He has promise if he doesn't sing for the mike. A huge mistake to make so early on!

  • hes better then i can do so i cant hate on him. but there are deffintaly better.

  • The judges should listen to il Volo. THEY are opera sensations, not this kid.

  • This is a mess.

  • @operassassin

Yep. Laughably awful. The Judges are worse for not knowing better.

  • Very good for a 15 year old. I hate these pop-like, abbreviated versions of great arias, but I hear such potential. I'd love to hear him again in 10 years after much study and practice.

  • he should swallow a ruler

  • Dreadful. The judges haven't a clue what a genuine operatic voice sounds like.

  • Hes fantastic! I could also do this at 15.. But American idol people suck! I like Australia better!

  • He will Be in opera, possibly the lead. A little polishing needed, but wonderful presence. Nothing outstanding, however, a really good career if he sticks to it. He almost has it, and that's good enough.

  • Not bad an audition. however, the notes were dropped abit too soon. in my view he ran out of air in some instances and this affected some parts of the song.

  • Bad, very bad, very very bad.

  • I applaud his efforts and dedication. I really appreciate watching young talent reaching for their dreams. I hope he will receive the proper direction, if he wants to reach 'his' dream. The true ability it requires to perform this aria, as written, is considerably beyond his understanding or he wouldn't be attempting to sing it. He must be patient, find a great teacher( Franco Tenelii here on Youtube is one of those exceptional maestro's), and grow slowly according to his ability.

  • Sorry but not the newest sensation.

  • Perhaps I don't know Opera, but this brought tears to my eyes. Please explain to me your thoughts.

  • canta solo con la garganta

  • After hearing this wonderful voice, maybe all those people who think Michael Jackson and all the other pop singers are so great will realize that they can't really sing at all. They are pathetic compared to Mark and what he will be in the future. I thought he was great for such a young singer!!@!

  • @4baroque1 ok well you cant really compare different genres. they were all great in there possitions but obviously not in others. mark may not be able to do pop or rock or even country. nor could any of those genres be able to sing opera so its very difficult to judge someone from a different regionof music and mark is on a totally different island when it comes to music.hes great though but to be a truly great and talented singer you shoudl be able to sing in different genres

  • what about the original tone !? that's way too low! this is an 8th below the original one. He was there like... singing in the talking tone.

  • there was no High C...

  • being a young tenor my self this sounds terribly painful sweet jesus i wanted to rip my throat out

  • He's in big trouble if he keeps this up.. Anyone who thinks that's "operatic" doesn't know what's up. Constricted, phony "dark" sound.

    Baloney.

  • excellent

  • ugh!!! There are so many things wrong with this, whoever teaches this kid needs to be permanently banned from teaching voice, who in the right mind gives a FIFTEEN year old a Puccini aria, thats grounds to permanently destroy the voice

  • He pushes; he will destroy his voice. Also pitched it well down in key. Would be fun to hear him after some time with proper training. Unlikely to happen though; you can tell he thinks he's got it together.

  • this is not the proper version of nessun dorma.....

  • If he has a musical teacher I say hire a lawyer now, but anyway imitations of Luciano will not be allowed to play with high notes. Go to the Pop area. The Opera House is not for you.

  • he has a long way to go, and has got to stay away from Puccini, Puccini isn't even appropriate for sometimes in their 20's, let alone a 15 year old its scary that Puccini is being mainstreamed.

  • good voice but hes no tenor. he needs some professional lessons but hes on the right track :D

  • The boy is 15!! What the blazes did you sound like!! Listen to Lanza at 19 here on YT. This is pure potential, and lots of it. I agree he needs a lighter choice at this time or he will blow the voice. A good grounding in "bel canto."

  • He's going to wreck his voice and shame on these assholes for letting him do it

  • i bet yous were all as good as him at 15 ay professionals, hes better than all yous so leave him alone

  • Also, I don't think Luciano would appreciate that I added an "e" to his name. He was a bit peevish about the correct spelling.

  • I am amazed by the negative criticism here. The "expertise" that is voiced in the comments is laughable. This young man, Mark Vincent, will one day be ranked alongside Caruso and Pavarottie. You people may have "professional ears" but you are deaf to the incredible potential in this instrument. Vincent will have the last laugh, and you (should you still be around) will simply be looking for someone else to trash.

  • @QBGood

No, not even close, you can't even spell Pavarotti correctly, there is no way I can take you seriously and there is no way this kid will make it unless he drops every aria he's singing and goes and gets properly trained, away with Puccini and up with the 24 Italian Songs and Arias

  • @QBGood This young man is very talented. If he gets training, he may well become one if this is what he wants, but if he sings difficult arias that aren't suited to his voice, he may well wreck his voice before he has a chance. As to Caruso or Pavarotti - do you know how many promising young tenors are there today and how tough the competition is in opera? People think that those they see on tv talent shows are the best. They aren't. Young singers who pursue opera don't come on tv.

  • give this guy enough practice and he can use th'um powers!

  • You guys do realize realize he won Australia's Got Talent, don't you?

  • He has a decent voice. However his upper register needs proper direction that comes from a voice teacher. His mid range is very nice. He needs to cut back on the big epic arias and focus on art songs and "lesser" arias and that will help develop that voice into a force to be reckoned with. He has potential but now he needs someone to help develop it into reality.

  • i'm not crying i yawned ...faggot

  • He's got so much potential! But his voice is not fully developed yet, I can tell because he didn't sing this in its original key. He sang it at a lower register, and his voice sounds strained. I think this song was much too EPIC for him! If he truly loves singing opera, he should wait a few more years and rest his vocal cords. Because opera is the most demanding vocal genre!

  • his still 15 and yet he is singing nessun dorma?? its a vocal suicide dude!! your still young stick to italian antology! or art song something!! your voice will not last long im telling you

  • why do kids want to slaughter these pieces when its not even their voice type and lower the piece to a god knows how low key. WHY. thank you.

  • ¿ baritono? verdad

  • by the way, where is the credit here? he is not old enough, no mature enough, Nessun dorma is for heavy vocal tenors, he does not even got any name to his register yet, the aria is saung here at lest 2 tones down, so on and so forth. Well never mind.

  • 15?????? is that it??? he is commiting a vocal suicide. No professional vocal teacher would recommend anyone to even open theri mouth to try to sing this hard arias before they turn 18: It is silly the fact that everyone want to sing with being mature enough. I do not understand the hurry.

  • One tone to low, no support and no technique. Besides that it is good!

  • the best movie for this guy is to keep on practicing and avoiding these aria's for a while and developing slowly with a good teacher. he has some good sound there that needs developing.

  • gross.

  • ? seriously? He should not be singing this aria at 15!

  • @gpcolucci woa woa woa hold up. Classically training your voice is perfectly fine at his age. It is a great foundation for any age because it teaches the correct way to sing without distroying your vocal chords

  • Gpcolu

  • THIS KID NEEDS A LOT MORE WORK,HE'S GOING TO RUIN HIS VOICE,HE COULD BE VERY GOOD BUT RUSHING HIM CAN'T DO ANY GOOD...HE SHOULD TRY THIS SONG IN ABOUT 10 YEARS...PROVIDING HIS VOICE ISNT DESTROYED BY SINGING THIS TYPE OF MUSIC WAY TO EARLY...GOOD LUCK!

  • @gpcolucci depending on what voice you were blessed with, id go with 18-20 is a good age for this music. But doing this music maybe once in a while shouldn't hurt him. But i agree, too young. But. Very impressive that he can pull this off at such a young age.

  • he sings good but sounds a bit like kermit the frog.

  • he did well - but he has a long way to go.

  • @UpstairsMaid Damn it, he is only 18 now and is off to study in Italy this year

  • Buble who? Groban what? Andre bochelliiii.....ok THIS KID IS AMAZING! 15 years old holy crap! lol.

  • HOLY S***!! He's amazing!

  • goosebumps!!!!

  • He was just a kid. Leave him alone. He has an awesome voice. No offense, if he goes to training school, he will sound like all the same, monotonic pop singers. He has his own style. Leave him be. Geesh.

  • @hlnl56 AGREED !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Just tell the Aussie Simon's to STOP and go all good

  • Two Aussie idiots, couldnt carry a tune in a bucket and dont know music...

  • HAHAHHA his second nessun dorma after the opening sounded like he was stoned

  • Sorry im not impessed..Im not knocking him.. he needs to go to music school and train his voice and act in opera...

  • Another faggot like Potts.

  • @madisonelectronic What an ignorant bigot..! How can you pick those two guys apart and call them names??? I think you're just jealous cause you have no chance of ever having the nerve or talent as these guys do. Get over yourself you self rightious prick...!

  • @madisonelectronic can u do better? if not and IM SURE U CANT then shut the fuck up.

  • He's definitely no Pavarotti....

  • @mylesc99 Neither was Luciano at that age!? This kid is one to watch ... can't you hear that?

  • @mylesc99 why do stupid ppl like u make comments like this can u sing like this?! huh? every one is one of a kind he is no pavoeotti and pavorotti was no him ............

  • @juniortr2005

Weel you have your opinion and I have mine.

However,I think that just "you wrong" isn't much of an argument and constitutes very bad grammar.

I would appreciate a more cogent and lucid defence of this singer than just two words.

Of course all the words in the world cannot improve his voice. My comments were meant to be constructive, not destructive.

Regretably if this a good example, Australia has no telent(or at least no proper way of judging it!)

  • I am sorry but I agree with Frankie,

    Opera Sensation,I think not.

This guy may have a good voice, but if he continues to sing this kind of repertoire(at 15) he will soon have NO voice left.

Also these "talent"(and I use the term in it's loosest sense) just promote the idea that all you have to do to sing oper is to sing LOUD!

Send him to a voice coach and let them train him,but please keep him away from TV shows or they will destroy and vocal talent he has.

  • @MrSwifts31 I agree with you 100%. This song was much too BIG for him! I can tell because he sang it in a lower key than what it originally is.

  • @MrSwifts31 it is diffrent for diffrent people though! like im 18 and hitting a b natial as a tenor and even at 15 i could hit a g! just really it depends on your vocal chord thikness and stranth!

  • @tazschriverrevival

That may be so,but if it is you have a VERY bad singing teacher to allow you to attempt this at your young (for singing) age.

Youd should be learning breathing, technique and overall bodily fitness.

Opera(and all singing) consists of much more than merely being able to hit a high note.

The body is made up from far more things than just the vocal chords, and thickness of them doesn't come into it.

  • @MrSwifts31 the kid was only 16 then. give hime some time.

  • opera sensation???

  • @GERMANYFrankie you fucking serious? you people are just jalous pigs with no fucking heart.

  • This young boy in far from beeing ridiculous, in spite of what jalous people say. This video is a pure moment of happyness. Professional people saw how wonderfull he is at first earing, That's why they applause.

  • Yeah his voice is good FOR HIS AGE. As I'm reading everywhere "He's only 15 for God's sake!" yeah he is good, and he sounds like any 15 year old who likes opera and can sing would sound. He's nowhere near Bocelli, Pavarotti, Domingo or Lanza. He's at the same professional level as Ignazio, Gianluca and Piero from Il Volo.

Oh, and don't assume the people who are umm "hating" know nothing of music. I'm also a tenor, musical theatre major and opera singer. I think I have a small right to criticize

  • @JAyala7293 thats why you are fucking jalous.

  • @sudiplimbu1 haha. not at all. I've sung this song in the original key. hit the B4. That's an accomplishment for an 18 year old I guess. The only reason he's a "sensation" is because he was on a broadcast talent show. Otherwise, he'd be like the other singers on YouTube who have incredible voices, but can't make a living from it because they're undiscovered. Listen to Bocelli or Lanza or Domingo sing this. He's an amateur compared to them.

  • hahah this whole show is ridiculous..

clapping after the first note!.. lol.. and the whole piece is only have the length and 3 has a high F instead of a C.. hahahaaaa.. yes! it is unbelievable..

  • lmfao you all keep hating.....see what happens ahhahah NOTHING!! hes talented and you are all opera snobs with obviously no awareness of talent -___- keep hating haters...you mean nothing..

  • Did you retards ever go to the opera?

In some pieces even young kids are singing in the opera - all with PERFECT voices.

    BULLSHIT TV SHOWS

  • @r2d2rx You're exactly right. And opera is serious and tested by time. If he was good enough for opera, he wouldn't be on a tv show, he would be in opera. He might actually be too young to sing this healthily. His voice is definitely not as colorful or clean as an actual opera singer. Those high notes are too thin. that means that too much air escaping through his cords. These are just facts. He needs to go to the opera and train. Not push his luck on TV.

  • @BenjaminTheBatchelor Right? And plus he lowered the key.... and it's Puccini.

  • ....... SO WHAT IF HE DIDN'T "technically" SING IT AS IS !?!! Smh some of these comments make me sick, he's FIFTEEN for Gods sake...... Comments like "his voice is weak" and "he sang it a couple tones too deep" .... Shut up . Please ..... Smh his voice is beautiful. He's only 15 & of course he will mature with practice . What he delivered is very impressive for his age smh all that negativity is absolutely disgusting .

  • хД

    пародия на оперу

  • What a fake. This boy sings the aria not in the original key.

He sing it many tunes deeper. Its easy to sing it in the key. But....

...The stupid jurry and the stupid Tv audience does not notice it.

    HA HA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

  • @Olympus20011 because he is an Aussie ofcourse they will vote for thier own people but this opera thing sucks and i hate it!!!!

  • it couldn't be worse

  • what can i expect form a ridicolous and shitty comercial TV contest?? only shit and more shit...

  • i though shit like paul potts only exists once in a lifetime, but i was wrong...what a piece of shit...

  • and who is this little imbecile?? sensation?? who says it? people magazine?? hahahahaha poor imbeciles...

  • In search type "Mark Vincent-Nella Fantasia" to hear him sing the song. A beautiful version, best on the net.

  • Enough is enough!!! Stop playing with true professionals. And stop using "underdogs", and "poor little guys" to make money. This is very very bad. The voice is nice, ok, but young. And the technique is all wrong. The guy is not a tenor... and so on...come on!!!!

  • @Brunojosealmeida You are right!! a wrong choice of song for a wrong type of voice!!!

  • That second where he makes the pivotal high note is a face of absolute bliss……..congratulations Mark, simply stunning.

  • Who the fuck could dislike this?

    This is amazing, great singer

  • @ViewBoy124 Some FOOL as in the above comment. If people come to criticise then they need to get a life !

go-on go-off "BRUNO". This is a young man`s audition. So, STUFF YOU ... jealousy hurts. 1 of the judges knows exactly what he`s talking about. Do not need your opinion "Bruno" thanks.

  • @bibi5767 if this boy wants a career in music he has to expect critics. As u have to, since this is an open forum.

I'm not jealouse of this, believe me. This is to bad and I do have a life, in music. That's why I like to know what's arround :)

Who's that judge? If I was a judge there I would tell him to keep going, ok, why not?. But: "perfect breath control"?, "beautiful tone"?..come on.they are the 1s that are destroying this boy's life, cause in real opera world he doesn't have a chance.

  • @ViewBoy124 try to look around you could find better singer than him.

  • did someone think that paul potts (who i admire) wrote this song? REALLY? i guess i am just glad they remembered it

  • For information. Paul Pott does not write this song. This aria compose Puccini and

    libreto write Adami,.

  • Im sure is grandfather would have been proud, probably he he is

  • what a voice!

  • very like a young placido

  • The first few seconds where great but he struggles too much with this song i can tell by the time he needs to sing the next few words. Keep it up.

  • Mark,WAY TO GO MATE,you really can sing and very well, keep practising get your control and note hold 120% and you will go places you only have seen in a travel agents window. You have a great talent so polish it till you can hit any note in your sleep without trying and mate I promise you,you will be up there with the big stars and you will have earned it,fantastic voice and at 15 that bodes well for your future,Best of Cornish Luck to you Mark.:))

  • It appears that the youth of the world has finally gotten tired junk music. and we are again appreciating beautiful music again. He should get formal training, maybe if it would be possible , he should go to Italy, they have the finest vocal coaches in the world, If not there must be some very good ones in Australia too. He, and the fabulous singing group IL VOLO, show us all that the youth of this generation is destined for greatness .

  • @gusjet1 He has been to Italy since winning the comp to get some coaching and has improved a lot in the last couple years.

  • Although this young man will not be singing at the Met any time soon, I give him A LOT of credit for aspiring to be an opera singer instead of a rapper or something. And he is only 15 - Bravo.

  • He has a beautiful voice!

  • One step too low!!Baryton highness!!Totally different to sing high H than A.

  • @0803kp a high H? .....really?....

Just kidding...B is next H on the keyboard after all ;)

  • Awesome ! What a gorgeous voice !

  • This young man has promise but needs schooling and guidance. He is not ready for the big time.

  • Wow, what a horrible arrangement of the orchestral accompaniment. Puccini, meet 80's synth sounds and 2000's "talent" TV shows. I'm sure that's what you intended but didn't have the technology at the time. Take it to Julliard kid.

  • holy transpose...everybody is now an Operatic Tenor or whatever if they have a beta mic, 10,000 watts and a some reverb. yeehah, more exciting voices like Josh Groban and Bocelli...

  • Nice voice... however a bit weak

  • Bravo, this kid is very talented & attractive. To me, he sounds like a baritone, or possibly a heldentenor (a baritone with a high register). As good as Pavarotti - not yet. He has a long way to go to reach that level.

  • this is fake. look at his tongue positioning

  • I am very Happy And Very Proud to have this young beautiful man amongst my collection

  • Seriously? A sensation? He'd be a sensation if he could sing the piece as is. I want a high B, and if you can't give it to me, fuck off!

  • This young man is absolutely Phenomenal. Wish we could hear more. Pavoratti may have died physically, but this young man must have inherited his voice. And he is ?untrained. Imagine what a Little training will do.

  • 2:29 - Fuck Yeah

  • Poor kid was terrified and he took our breath away. It's 2011 now and he is still singing like an Angel. Please don't tear people to bits from behind a computer screen. Few of you would have Mark's courage. Certainly not his talent.

  • @christinelesley Too-right. This was a 15 year old`s first, nerve wracking audition. Mark is so talented and a beautiful person...

  • Right this is getting really on my nerves now, I think competitions like these need to have a notice that says something like "if you intend on singing opera, just don't because nor the judges and least of all the audience has any expertise in opera whatsoever" Because they stand up and clap with the audience and are so impressed, and I sing in an opera company and I have to say to everybody that these people like this guy, who by the way is way better tha Paul can only make it into chorus.

  • There is much good material here, but he really has no business singing a dramatic aria (or part of it) like this at age 15. The voice has not property settled, and won't for another seven to ten years. He hasn't a good top yet and there is a serious changing of gears at the passagio. Slow down, Mark, and work with a good teacher who knows how to bring out the best in your voice!

  • think he has good voice but you cant really tell on these types of programmes. is it me but why do they never sing a whole song or (if singing opera) a whole aria. is it that the programmers edit most of it out . or do these people actually only sing bits?

  • wow...can't wait to hear this kid sing this again when he is 25.

  • Excellent for 15 years of age! Well done mate!

  • Well he has a very nice voice, he need not force it darker and will be a problem later on . The aria has been lowered as mentioned here above but even more important he is not singing the whole aria as it was written, very important, phrasing and breath control. So he needs to get to a good voice teacher before his popularity over runs his training.

  • It looked like he was lip syncing

  • Very impressive for 15 years of age..difficuilt piece.

  • Impressive for 15-lots of passion

  • ESTA DOS TONOS ABAJO DE LA ORIGINAL. LA SENSACIÓN QUE CAUSA ES DE DESCONCIERTO UN TENOR DECENTE SOLO DESPUES DE LOS 30. LO QUE SI CREO ES QUE TIENE BUENA VOZ Y TRABAJANDOLA A LA VOZ LIBRE SIN OSCURECER NI EMPUJAR LLEGUE A SER UN BUEN LIRICO.

  • he is darkening his voice ... he is not singing this in the original key .... he has not a good singing technique and his interpretation is just pure crap...

  • is this "talent" ? huh !! i think, his voice is... whatever... i don't want to talk about this issue. if you are lookin for a talented thing, maybe... transpose software ?? :) his g is so amazing... and... his "final a" oh... my... :D ahahaha :D

  • he was great big voice & made me cry not for the story from his voive lessons maybe but still OMG Amazing

  • Ok the moral of this story? If you have a beautiful voice, the first thing you should be doing is taking voice lessons, not singing a cut version of nessum dorma a half step down on a TV show at age 15.

  • @peduzzi89 dont hate the brother, he was good.

  • He is good, especially for a 15 year old. I have no clue what everyone is talking about...I listen to opera frequently and I really like this.

  • y does every opera singer on the talent shows sing nessa dorma?

  • the kid should get a voice teacher ;)

  • Pol pott wrote this song, dont dare touch his songs.Pol Pot rules!

  • Is he 15?

  • Sorry BUT UNLESS this is the FIRST TIME you hear "Nessun Dorma", this guy has NO talent. He may have a voice, but not for opera. Better if he sings lullabies...

  • JUNK

  • sounds like a human frog, a transposed human frog...the worst kind. poor kid

  • Get thee to a teacher....

  • Yeah he might have made SLIGHT mistakes only a PROFESSIONAL could see...but face it...HE SANG BETTER THAT YOU ALL. Snap!!!

  • @horrorscope71270 lol not even close. i can hear how bad it is and i never had done a public performance

  • first; that is no opera sensation or singer...

  • @onlyruap Right that was not an opera sensation or singer. That was the future King of Opera.

  • Comment removed

  • Paul Pott wrote this song!!!!Then only Paul Pott can sing it.Stay away from Paul Pott!

This is the best OPERASINGER in the world but dont try to sing Paul Potts own songs!I dont like...

  • @westlin6568

... you're fucking kidding right? You don't actually think paul pott wrote nessun dorma do you?

  • wow!!! amazing voice......I love his performance.....

  • Wow! What a great gift. Thank you for sharing this with the world.

  • Fantastic, but Paul Potts did it better.
