The "real" SMB2 wasn't originally released in the US. It was later included in Super Mario All-Stars as the "Lost Levels". It was essentially just a new version of SMB1, with a few gameplay tweaks and new levels.
it works i tryed and it cool but its ruined if you hold the jump button. just grab the red turtle and hold it there till it pops out you delevel and you jump with a tap and BAM you do nothing 99 lives awaits you
While I've known about that trick for quite a while, where did you get this particular enhanced remake from? I've only seen it on the original NES and it works there as well (in world 3-1 at the earliest known).
The graphics are so much more enhanced that this can't be an NES game (there's way more than 16 colors and the background moves at different rates, sort of like Genesis, but even better). What I was asking is where did you get this remake from? What system is it for?

actualkly you cant do that in SMB 2 because it was a totally different type of game.1,3 and Super Mario World you could.

@hiho0140 Exactly.The game here in the US that we know as SMB 2 was actually a rehashed version of a Japanese game called "Doki Doki Panic".

have minimario and always jump to the tip of the pole. slower, but works.
