At first, it seems like an ass-pull, but the unveiling of Fontaine was freakin' brilliant. There were a few hints, some I hadn't actually noticed 'til I played through it again, but they were definitely there. Like the "4th of July" thing he once said over the radio - Atlas is supposed to be Irish, yet he makes a DISTINCTLY AMERICAN reference.

And that, among a few other things.

Fontaine was the least Psychotic person in the game, even though he was the least spliced. He kept a cool head no matter what, was great at lying, and he could kick butt. I've never see a better villain.

@shadix20 In case you weren't paying attention, Fontaine/Atlas didn't use any ADAM until after Andrew Ryan was dead, and then he used it majorly. I suspect Wafflepal might have meant most spliced though, seeing as how he put in the words "even though", and splicing makes people unstable mentally. If that is the case, it should be noted that after Fontaine used ADAM he did become mentally unstable, but he did not live with it for as long so the effects did not become as exaggerated as in others.

When you beat the game at the HIGHEST difficuty, with Via Chambers off, without dying, once. You get the achivement, for like 200G.

What happened with the memories was that the gene splicing was giving you other people's memories. Apparently, the same gene splice can be used more than once.

The scary thing is, if you get really close to the memories, or ghosts, they're old and decaying, like walking skeletons.
