  • Long as you know, Live came before Creed, and they came before Chevelle (who actually copied Deftones fyi) Love ya

    =)

  • Love the music...hate the video

I must say I miss the 90's music but not the constent need for artists of the day to put sex in everthing. Just not comfortable around this shit is all but hey it's their video, so whatever floats their boats I guess. No doubt though, this a grunge masterpeice through and through!!!!

  • Well...I always understand the case to be that these guys (or Ed at least) were not Christians when they started making records, but came to Christ somewhere along the way. I have always assumed it was sometime between Secret Samadhi and Distance to Here, because that was the first record where the lyrics went from treating Christian faith as a mockery to sounding more like they became believers.

  • Man WHY did Eddie Kowalcyzk turn out to be such a greedy numbnuts? His actions on the last days of Live were really poor and seemingly in contrast to his somewhat esoteric viewpoint.

  • @ws6brother ... or Chevelle are trying to sound like Live ;)

  • Comment removed

  • @stealthyeros...YEA that would be the logical way! but both r good bands n have their own unique ways tho!

  • @ws6brother No chevelle tries to sound like LIVE

  • @ws6brother Or more like Chevelle sounds like them....remember Live cut their first album, "Mental Jewelry" in 1991. Chevelle didn't come out with "Point #1" until like '99 or '00. So maybe you are hearing Live's influence on Chevelle's music?

  • @ws6brother No disrespect to you but I think chevelle is a band who came around early 2000 or late 90s and if your familiar with 90s music close to scene like this you'll see that they have not shown any original materials yet...peace

  • @ws6brother chevelle sounded like them :)

  • @ws6brother You're an idiot. Chevelle is a wannabe band. Live came first and is much better than that piece of shit band.

  • Ok, 13 years later, now I'm 34, I still cant understand this vid... Love the band though

  • Damn I never knew the name of this fuckin song! been looking for it for years!

  • This band is a fucking Creed's brother but....hey !! It's good! lol

  • The one thing I don't like about this kind of band is that there aren't enough loudspeakers in the world to play this music LOUD ENOUGH. Crank it up to 111 with a pair of vise grips and power those amplifiers with nuclear fusion, and it might be loud enough!

  • Don't know about them being on hiatus, I saw them at the Ottawa Bluesfest in July 2009.

  • The singer "was" a prima donna. Their last decent album was 'Lakini's Juice' imo.

  • @zone1480 Geesh I mean 'Secret Samadhi.' Its been so long since I've listened to them.

  • i can't decide which is the most awful: the title, the song, or the video

  • my fav cd in the 90's secret samadhi edward kowalcyk great singer

  • I rememeber when this video came out. I liked it back then and I still like it now.

  • i'm getting old!! it's been a long time since i last heard this song!

  • thanks for the post...havent heard this song in years

  • this dude practices zen meditation, really cool music

  • these guys aren't gay..they are from York, Pa and they kick ass...they are all married...like everyone here says they are all on hiatus...they have some of the most original music there is

  • lol, who said they're gay? haha

  • ah, I saw.. the spam was hidden. nvm.

  • @bolaman1975 the only downside is they are a christian rock group. the words 'christian' and 'rock' should never normally be uttered in the same breath, but these guys seem to pull it off without too much recrimination. they are just a really good band, but lets all acknowledge that rock and bible bashing should never be associated again.....

  • @TheRis81 - That's a semi-popular misconception. Ed is a very spiritual person, and he's a Buddhist.

  • @ProfessorEggflesh but he is always on about god in his lyrics? is it supposed to be parody or is it the real deal? me thinks its the latter...

  • @TheRis81...I think the God he/they always talk about is not the God from the bible..he/they talks about the general misconception of the concept of God and faith not aim at a particular group ... It is possible and I think more beautiful to find God and faith through personal journey and self realization rather than from imposed and outside force...And the path to strong faith begins in questioning and doubting the path of Sofia...peace

  • @hereticcountess i wholeheartedly concur... and i definetley hope that what u say is the truth, as this is exactly my outlook on how god and the world are and should be connected, but i have a sneaking suspicion he is talking about god from the bible. what about all his references to water, from his first albums? if u listen to mental jewellery, he frequently puts baptism type scenario's in his lyrics: 'learn to swim, all over again', 'run to the water' (from their fourth album)

  • @TheRis81 @TheRis81 What I know is that using water as a tool for cleansing is not a purely christian rites as a matter of fact it predates it :)...so this is a big misconception, a lot of christian rites are not original but a lot of people in modern times, specially christian dominated countries, think so... Secret Samadhi as one example is Hindu and they used it for an album title to think as you say they are Christian :)

  • @hereticcountess the thing is ive always heard of them as a christian band... 'birds of pray' their fifth album, says it all.... i like your theory though

  • Respond to this video... but it is not to say that Christianity has no influence in them I just think, based on my own observation, it is not the whole...why I like bands/people/artists like these, is how they have taken the whole and made something new for themselves...Peace.

  • @TheRis81 That's ignorant to say Christian philosophy can't co-exist with rock. Rock originated from Gospel and the blues. But that aside, I believe the message is in the listener and what ever they get from the song.

  • @Msumner316 true it originate from gospel/blues etc, but it has changed irrevocably and is now more associated with sinning than sainting.... rock as we know it now is an enemy of christianity, it is now inherently 'evil' and the rock 'peddlers' encourage a culture of drugs and pre-marital sex.... would u say ozzy osbourne or anthony kiedis fit the christian stereo type?

  • Fantastic group! What ever happened to these guys?

  • They're still around, just not as mainstream as they were in the 90's and they're currently in hiatus for 2 years.

  • @stealthyeros that hiatus is now permanent due to innapropriate actions of the lead singer Ed as of 2009

  • @shortydog27 They split up now. Ed tours solo, the other guys and in a new band and I can't think of the name of it.

  • @kattykits That's a shame. Who knows for sure what really happened. Their "temporary" new name is "The Gracious Few" which says a lot about how they feel about Ed. I hope they revive LĪVE once again. Throwing Copper was my favourite, one of the first CDs I ever bought with my own money when I was a kid.

  • Awesome tune, I've always liked this song.

  • So you're here listening to it. You must be gay. Right?

  • i live to see live play live.

  • oOooOOo homophones nice

  • I don't know what that means.

  • words that are spelled the same but are pronounced differently and have different meanings.

  • 4.13 I like that moment best, that rocking end. Then him sliding with his foot on the ground gives this an extra feeling. Don't know why but that's how I see it lol

  • By far, one of my favorites by them

  • I saw Live play Live

  • my favorite song from this band...

  • i have and will always love this jam. Rock on guys Yeahhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( Greg from socorro Nm

  • very strange video...but not necessarily aweful. I love this band though. they are incredible in concert.

  • I do love this band but I'm gonna have to agree w/ the "this band has no good videos" comment.

  • Great song but a HELLA weird video. It's too complex and layered. Ed needs to take some pills to cure his evils. Hello from Greenland!

  • More Live... on the youtube

  • this has always been live's heaviest. just nod your head to the beat, pause during the silence, then let it...

  • i love this song and the vidio is awesome as well

  • Cool song

  • Great song, but in my opinion all of their videos are kind of lame. (especially the one for Turn my Head). Ed feels the need to go shirtless way too often (and this is coming from a female who had a crush on him 10+ years ago). Put your shirt on, pal.

  • to me its not what the video looks like it is the feeling and the meaning behind it how they can make you loose yourself in their music all of live's videos are artwork to me as well as their songs which they will always be.. for a lot of people

  • im 15 now, but when me and my sister were very little, my father let us hear this song, and we danced like some crazy people,! love the memory..;)

    X

  • i saw them live with colletive soul, live was amazing colletive soul kinda sucked

  • this song is awesome. the whole concept is wicked. to actively seek out this video, then dis it is nonsensical

  • C'mon guys...leave Purejizzlam alone.

  • Lets keep the hate out of the comments, plz. Not every1 has the same music taste, that's what makes the world interesting: variety. If U dont like it, don't come in to a YT vid page n b*tch about it, just go to a page u do like.

  • Right there with you on this point, it makes no sense to post negative stuff for the sake of it...Secret Samadhi is my fav Album evvver! Awesome Vid :)

  • to: pureislam1; fuck you and you´re retarded religion

  • 19-F-hottie here. I'm just saying that girls LOVE this vid. V

  • I love this song!!!

  • I like it too! It remembers me the days when I was 12yo!!! Despite the bad comments on this band, personally I like it a lot!

  • to piss arrogant people off like you that don't know real music when you hear it.... now go back and listen to your backstreet boys and be happy.... apparently you don't understand real music...

  • @trustinme25 WELL PUT!!!!!!!!!

  • what ? dont understand your post

  • great

  • Oh what I would do to Ed >:) .. What an amazing band ..

  • i may not remember my own birthday but i will always remember the first time i heard this song, where i was, what i was doing, who i was with, and almost how much i was drinking! It was great! :)

  • this song is fucking awesome,,,Lakini's Juice to me should be in their greatest hits when they make a greatest hits CD,,,it should be #1,,cause this song kicks ass

  • such an underappreciated band. amazing voice.

  • I agree 100%

  • Agree

  • too much sex play lol

  • remember STAGE guys?? That tune ROCKS!!! Hands down, first three albums were by far the best, although TDTH had its moments too.

  • GOOD ROCK SALUTES YOU HERE!!!

  • This song ruless!

  • That man has such a beautiful voice

  • I SECOND THAT!!

Live in Brasil on that years was the Master piece!!

  • What did you say?

  • I said it was amazing!! The best show i saw that years... i saw twice... 2000 and 2003..

  • saw them twice in 97...and then again twice in 2001...difference was my wife saw them in '97...she was gone by 2000...but my son and daughter saw them I think 5 times...

  • my fav song of live. more wine !!!!!!

  • buen video y mejor cancion!!! pasaje liv

  • Good band. Once mentioned same to some Pantera fans (also a good band) "Wa-ha-ha, he likes Live, get that", etc. No offense to 'em, but, screw 'em.

  • This song is incredible and what a voice he has.

  • White Discussion is my favorite song.

  • The old Live rules. With old Live I mean the first three albums....

  • This is the best live song I think.. very badass

  • lol. Live kicks ass dude!!! I hae virtually all their CD's, I just need Songs from the Black Mountain! Wich I''m getting soon! lol. But Live kicks ass! lol.

  • Live and Ed are one of a kind. A supreme band. Supreme music.

  • Yep, u sed it! lol. There's no comparison to the greatness that is Live and Ed!!! (I can't even pronounce his last name! lol.)

  • Songs from Black Mountain is sooo incredibly kick ass. Go get it now. Don't walk, run! :)

  • HAHA! I will! lol.
