I think this kind of Jananese piano arrangement requires both extreme speed and accuracy in order to sound "right", unless you can reach a godly fast tempo like he did at some points, it will still sound kind of "odd & out of tune" sometimes. He was really great at constantly adjusting the tempo & loudness throughout the song to make the main melody flow very smoothly & emotionally!

like this one song i'm playing, on the right hand, i have to accent this note played by the pinky and hold it while the other fingers play softly. it's really hard!!

I have a a full sheet of this Reminiscence of AIR piano sonata by K. Kuroya if anyone interests. It will definitely take a long time to learn but the result is very rewarding and enjoyable!

The anime that this song is from is not called "Tori no Uta". That is simply the name of the song. The name of the anime is called "Air", an adaptation of the visual novel of the same name.

And "Tori no Uta" means "The Poem of Birds" or "A Bird's Poem" (plurality is ambiguous in both cases), as "uta" (詩) means "poem", not "poet", in Japanese.
