One interesting thing about the Fort Hood case is that the military is going out of its way not to make this a "Muslim" issue---because for years there has been a strong effort to get more Muslims into the armed services. The last thing the Pentagon wants is the perception that the Muslims in uniform are somehow untrustworthy---that would be a PR disaster.

One interesting thing about the Fort Hood case is that the military is going out of its way not to make this a "Muslim" issue---because for years there has been a strong effort to get more Muslims into the armed services. The last thing the Pentagon wants is the perception that the Muslims in uniform are somehow untrustworthy---that would be a PR disaster.
