What's with all the fighting? I for one find MC and Gordan to be quite similier to each other. They both do their work in the future. They both save humanity. They both wear power armor. They both don't really say much. They both fought stuff that looks like both aliens, zombies and robots. MC: Aliens: the covenant Zombies: the flood Robots: the sentinels. Gordon: Aliens: Xen ceatures Zombies: the headcrab infection. Robots: The combine. And you never really see their faces often.

By dropping a heavy weight he is able to calculate how long it would be necessary for it to hit the ground and then at the same time he counts how many seconds pass for him. That's right after augmentation. Linda says it's "Spartan time". After the augmentation their nervous system was enchanced giving them up to 500% in reflexes. Time passes slower for spartans.

@jimcoolfilms And during their entire 10 year long training they're thought how to think outside the box, making strategies that would be perfect for the situation. Like not having to fight the enemies but sneak through them, where to place explosives, turrets. He's a military genius and his teacher was a smart AI. He's very intelligent but Gordon may have it because he's been learning physics and suck his entire life and may be connected to the portal thing you open.
@jimcoolfilms Yes I do agree here MC has never had to think about morals and conspiracy that much - just how to take down the enemy. The only dilema he's had so far was to either give a full report on sgt. Johnson's immunity to the flood and get him killed and dysected, or a significantly shorter report that would probably save him. He ended up deleting Cortana's memory about the matter and never handing the reports in.
Gordon has it a lot harder with humans wanting him dead.

He discovered a way to detect covenant ships exit points HOURS before they have arrived, giving the UNSC time to properly react. And slipspace has been there for 300 years, with no one being able to track or detect it in normal space or advance the technology. And that's with their normal training.

@jimcoolfilms Yes. But my Xbox is fried since last month and I'm not getting a new one for now. I'm more of a PC guy. I only used the Xbox for exclusives. If the gravity gun can pick MC it will help Gordon, but we don't know how much, since MC has fallen from orbit and hit the ground with Mach 5 and was up again just a few minutes later. The Gravity gun isn't that fast but it can push MC out of CQC where Gordon has little chance. Gordon can in fact kill MC if he uses that big gun at the end of Half life 1(don't remember the name) I'm pretty sure it can 1 shot him.

I call this a draw. Depends on arnament and how far way both are, the envinronment, and of course luck. And other unpredictable factors as well.

They either get glassed from space or meet overwhelming odds in the form of 3000 sangheili to 1 spartan. Only MC and blue team survived. Blue team was sent to Onyx to help out there and they are currently trapped inside the shield world with all surviving SIII's and Doctor Halsey.
MC definitely.He is biologically, cybernetically and technologically enhanced. He has 10 years of rigorous training and 30 years of actual combat experience. His augumentations allow him to run with 50kph, lift 5 times his own weight and have 3 times faster reflexes. And that's without armor on which boosts all his abilities by a factor of 10. He is a tactical genius and extremely smart. He doesn't need a gravity gun, he can flip over tanks. Also he can snap that crowbar of Freeman's with ease.

In the books he's described as an excellent marksman and his brain is directly linked to his armor, which means it reacts to thought before movement. He controls his entire body through it and just has to think "headshot" before he gets it. But since they both don't exist we will never know exactly what would happen. But if Gordon is allowed the first several shots and he's far enough to evade mele he has a chance.

Spartans in Mk IV Mjolnir armor consider that facing 500 sangheili of the veteran elite legions to be a good ratio. A single elite minor is better than an ODST, and now you have 500 of those, but with rank of Major(human lieutenant) and higher. And they have tanks, Hunters and air support. And now Spartans also have Mk VI armor, so they'd do even better.

Which means we use books, which means sangheili are superelite warriors who train their entire lives to do battle. They're much better than depicted in the games. It should be 10 meto cops - 1 sangheili. A plasma riffle can kill a fully armored marine and keep going a combine elite may be as good as a sangheili minor at best. A strider can be killed by a pair of hunters or wraith

An elite is a Mutated Human. Designed to be faster stronger and more accurate. 4 elites ALONE in the open is MUCH more deadlier than 4 Sangheili Minors. Get you're facts right. If you have gmod you can't compare them with any type of halo enemy. Gmod makes the HL2 enemies more weaker, If you wan't to know how strong an elite is, get Half Life 2

Like not having to fight the enemies but sneak through them, where to place explosives, turrets. He's a military genius and his teacher was a smart AI. He's very intelligent but Gordon may have it because he's been learning physics and suck his entire life and may be connected to the portal thing you open.

@jimcoolfilms Yes I do agree here MC has never had to think about morals and conspiracy that much - just how to take down the enemy. The only dilema he's had so far was to either give a full report on sgt. Johnson's immunity to the flood and get him killed and dysected, or a significantly shorter report that would probably save him. He ended up deleting Cortana's memory about the matter and never handing the reports in.
Gordon has it a lot harder with humans wanting him dead.

He discovered a way to detect covenant ships exit points HOURS before they have arrived, giving the UNSC time to properly react. And slipspace has been there for 300 years, with no one being able to track or detect it in normal space or advance the technology. And that's with their normal training.
I remember that it was this discovery that allowed the "keyes loop" in the book "Fall of Reach".

If the gravity gun can pick MC it will help Gordon, but we don't know how much, since MC has fallen from orbit and hit the ground with Mach 5 and was up again just a few minutes later. The Gravity gun isn't that fast but it can push MC out of CQC where Gordon has little chance. Gordon can in fact kill MC if he uses that big gun at the end of Half life 1(don't remember the name) I'm pretty sure it can 1 shot him.

They either get glassed from space or meet overwhelming odds in the form of 3000 sangheili to 1 spartan. Only MC and blue team survived. Blue team was sent to Onyx to help out there and they are currently trapped inside the shield world with all surviving SIII's and Doctor Halsey.

MC definitely.He is biologically, cybernetically and technologically enhanced. He has 10 years of rigorous training and 30 years of actual combat experience. His augumentations allow him to run with 50kph, lift 5 times his own weight and have 3 times faster reflexes. And that's without armor on which boosts all his abilities by a factor of 10. He is a tactical genius and extremely smart. He doesn't need a gravity gun, he can flip over tanks. Also he can snap that crowbar of Freeman's with ease.

@hola979 Master chief once bitch slapped a air-surface rocket. Also on direct hit it drains about 30% shields according to canon and that's the SPNKr launcher that's superior to our technology. The gravity gun probably won't be able to lift half a ton and even if it does what will it do? MC fell from space and hit the ground with mach 5 in the beginning of Halo 3 and survived.

In the books he's described as an excellent marksman and his brain is directly linked to his armor, which means it reacts to thought before movement. He controls his entire body through it and just has to think "headshot" before he gets it. But since they both don't exist we will never know exactly what would happen. But if Gordon is allowed the first several shots and he's far enough to evade mele he has a chance.

Spartans in Mk IV Mjolnir armor consider that facing 500 sangheili of the veteran elite legions to be a good ratio. A single elite minor is better than an ODST, and now you have 500 of those, but with rank of Major(human lieutenant) and higher. And they have tanks, Hunters and air support. And now Spartans also have Mk VI armor, so they'd do even better.
Freeman doesn't even have a shot at this.

@ragdoll485 When making a fight between 2 characters from different universes we use the fictional canon. Which means we use books, which means sangheili are superelite warriors who train their entire lives to do battle. They're much better than depicted in the games. It should be 10 meto cops - 1 sangheili. A plasma riffle can kill a fully armored marine and keep going a combine elite may be as good as a sangheili minor at best. A strider can be killed by a pair of hunters or wraith

A pair of hunters are perfectly capable of bringing down a strider. And according to "Halo Legends" shitloads of megalekgolo worms can bond togeather to create hunters up to 30 meters inside, although they're rare, they do exist.

This is seriously like pitting a Space Marine against Bill Nye the Science Guy.
The fuck is Gordon going to do? He's a goddamn scientist with a fancy electromagnetic gun. The Chief is a super soldier that has the reflex time to slap an anti-tank missile aimed directly at him out of the air and the strength to flip a twelve-ton tank, not to mention his suit is heavier then Gordon's gun can lift and he is a weapons expert in all fields.

Also, Master Chief only carries two guns and some grenades. Gordon Freeman always has his crowbar, pistol, SMG, pulse rifle, gravity gun, SPAS-12, crossbow, rocket launcher, and revolver, a lot more than MC.
PS no one uses the mongoose unless completely necessary.
