  • Konstantin Lifschitz plays Bach also panwide and noble, good sences on mild!

Romantic like drowing pictuer as land scape with human warmy impressions on

this VTR make many people to give relaxations ,I think so.

  • so touching...

  • What a beautiful, heartfelt performance. The master would have approved....

  • Beautiful!

  • To MrConnoisseur: His lines are just slower/longer than most. But they do not break. That is what is interesting about his playing.

  • wonderful!!!!

  • It lacks natural flow and sounds somehow forced and pretentious. Piano timbres, dynamic balance between layers of texture as well as use of pedal (at times, very odd) could be far better controlled...

  • @MrConnoisseur, I do think he's trying too hard to be different. He often gets louder when the music wants to get softer, and vice versa. In addition, he often hides the melody beneath the inner voices, which can be a nice change sometimes, but Lifschitz does it all the time here, which is annoying. However, to his credit, Lifschitz understands the concept of harmonic progression perfectly, unlike plenty of musicians which have no sensitivity to harmony at all.

  • I love pretty much everything about it, though it seems he gets slightly heavy handed with the left hand on some parts. Despite that it's still one on the best interpretations I've heard.

  • I have his CD he took live performance in Paris when he was 17 year old. He is totally amazing pianists.

  • A wonderful piece and a wonderful interpretation! Bravo!

  • Although the quality of this video is not as good as some of the other performances of this piece, his version is the best that I have found so far. Unlike others, he really takes his time, and each note is delivered very deliberately. Beautiful.

  • A sensitive performance, especially the middle section.

  • Klingsor, I agree with your WTC statement.

Schubert last Sonatas should also suit him well.

  • Quite a touching performance. The Well Tempered Clavier should suit him well.

  • He plays Bach quite well!
