  • They pushed a good man out of Congress because of his personal life. It is a shame.

  • Every time there is a good politician, out comes a sex scandal. This man vehemently fought for the rights of those first responders, obviously someone wanted him out of the picture.

  • @SlightlyChan I was thinking the exact same thing and I believe you were right about the last part of your sentence.

  • thanks for the uploads!

  • thanks for sharing!

  • well, i guess since anthony weiner was sexting up with women, he must have been wrong. 9/11 responders didn't deserve their money, the GOP should have stomped their boot on the 9/11 responders like they tried to do. Then Shep Smith at Fox News said the GOP was being shameful. Maybe Shep Smith hates America too, right GOP?

  • ummmm your point is what? You mean Weiner is not an insane creep? I think he's proven that he is...

  • @MrFreeLibertarian Idiot.

  • president weiner 2016

  • Geez. Hes not sick, hes just plain NUTS.

  • Democrats can't afford to loos this guy. He's usually on the right side of issues and has firm conviction. Made a very foolish mistake that could cost him his career. He better hope that something else can dominate the media for the next few weeks

  • The guy is a JOKE LIED to ALL for a WEEK and took the public for FOOLS. Out with this classless LOSER!

  • Weiner scumbag, do the right thing Weener... RESIGN COWARD!

  • @TheNEPAConservative Yeah! Get a torch and mob him! Oh wait, he did nothing illegal... So sad that you have the political spin in your speech and just want people who oppose you to go down. It's called democracy not "my way or the highway". He scares republicans because he speaks truth and uses reason, so sad.

  • @cornhollio1 He did not use his own personal money to contack these woman.

  • I think the reason why they have microphones is so that you don't have to yell for people to hear you.

  • He makes me proud to be a New Yorker.

  • This guy is amazing. I would vote for him in a heartbeat.

  • This guy is my hero!

  • i want to move to queens

  • Have my baby!

  • looks like american politics is looking up. if you had this guy and ron paul run for dems and reps it would be a win win for you guys.

  • GOOD DAY SIR! I SAID GOOD DAY!

  • "The gentleman is correct in sitting!"

    Daaaaayyyuummmm

  • I would vote for this guy if he ran for president. YAY go New York!

  • The gentleman is correct in sitting hahah

  • Wow I want Weiner for President.

This guy is packing the heat blowing away those republicans I wish Obama could do this.

  • @nodogyougay48 lol, fast forward a few months, and we got to see just how much he was packing.... SCHWINGGGGGGGGG

  • @MrZiode Haha well I was kinda right..

  • it doesn't matter if you're a democrat, republican, liberal, or conservative. blocking this bill is an outrage to all americans, and is shameful beyond belief to the politicians we have in congress.

  • @CrazyLazyMonkey AMEN only anti americans like the republicunts would ever block this bill --It is to be paid for by closing the tax loopholes on the foreign corporations with US government contracts and the REPUBLCUNTS SHOULD GO TO HELL

  • Obama just wants this over wit ,its been held over his head too long now ,he want to help everyone ,but the gop want to take the blame off themselves by pushing this crap on him ,now check this out ,gops are now saying that thier going to put all of you poor people lives in your hands now ,just think the rich and middle class are saying let the 911 responders die ,so are the gop members ,saying the same thing ,if they cant afford medical attention for thier sickness well let them all die

  • glenn beck said that all you 911 people can go and die somewhere ,he said that the rich people should not get hurt in the tax cuts cause of you people ,he said the rich like him are more important then you poor saps ,glen beck says rich and middle class are the best and poor and 911 responders are the worst ,he say your weak and we dont need to waist money on you people ,hmm isnt that what the gop members are saying about you poor peole ,that we dont give to poor and starving children

  • if you ever see any gop member out on the streets call hio,m or her an animal ,cause thats what animalsa act like ,thay say we dont give a damn if yo poor child dies ,or if the 911 responder dont get help for thier sickness ,hell the rich like actors and bussiness owners ,are going along wit it too ,thats right peole those bastards you buy products and other things from are helping the gop kill you now so they can get all thier greedy money

  • that is one angry weiner

  • I KNEW ANTHONY WIENER IS A LIBER IDIOT!!

  • Weiner is a real man. Fuck all those fake-ass politicians.

  • This video confirms Weiner is unbalanced.

  • whoooooo I love "The gentleman is correct in sitting" awesome sauce.

  • Rawr! I'd be angry too. What's the GOP afraid of? Oh, wait, they probably believe that helping 9/11 responders is one small step to Communism on Glenn Beck's Nonsensical Blackboard of Doom. Look! The Circles! They're getting bigger! Nooooooooo!

  • If that were a movie monologue, he would have won an oscar

  • @Seston LOL, so true

  • How the fuck can you dislike this video?

  • Wow, that guy is pure fire! If his last name wasn't Weiner I'd want him to run for the Presidency in 2012.

  • @Atlas1970 Oscar Meyer could sponsor any future run. :)

  • The democrats could walk up with a bill containing the cure for cancer, AIDS, and world hunger and the republicans would vote no.

  • @cryppie123 Democrats aren;t smart enough for anything like that!

  • @padraicohare you're right, if only we had the smarts of a Palin, or Larry Craig, or George W Bush, then we could get alot done................

  • @cryppie123 Good to hear a dumbocrap scumbag finally admit it!

  • @padraicohare Spoken like a true educated Republican.

  • @cryppie123 Damn right! Which is why the idiot dems are going to lose the House in November!

  • @padraicohare I'm guessing you aren't too familiar with the term "Sarcasm"

  • @cryppie123 What's Sarcasm? *rolls eyes Ok I'm going to go drink beer now. Cheers!

  • @padraicohare you're an idiot.

  • it is so sad that only 12 republicans care for the country isnt it you would think everyone of them would have cared for those who worked hard to save people on that horrible day . Sick republicans I am so sick of there vote no uncaring for humans do nothing yet get paid agenda! next the republicans will want a 70 Year old man to still hang off the back of a garbage truck to collect trash oh yah it is what they want they want to take social security and not allow retirement til l age 70.

  • Weiner is a moron! Why are the democrats getting everything wrong? Can't wait to vote them all out in November!

  • @padraicohare yeah he's an idiot, imagine wanting to give healthcare to first responders of 9/11, what a stupid thing to do...............

  • The gentleman will observe regular order. He yells and thinks he will intimidate!

  • That's representing Brooklyn!

  • When Democrats try to be cooperative, bipartisan, and respectful, the GOP calls them "feminized" and mocks them for having no balls. When a Democrat forcefully calls the GOP on its counterproductive hypocrisy, and refuses to be intimidated with interruptions, you screech, "Weiner is completely insane. He has come unglued." LOL As if your mere pronouncements make things so. They don't. They just make you another hypocrite and therefore irrelevant.

  • @ivyshoots I was going to send you a friend request because of how amazing this comment is and then I realized we're already friends. You're awesome and I'm glad we're Youtube friends lol :)

  • @ivyshoots well said. soooo well said.

  • Is there a video of the response to this asshole? Why do 9/11 first responders need to be put on Medicare? Is that better than the New York city and state programs they are on now? Isn't this just taking them off one Government Program and putting them on another? What workman comp claims have been worked out? Shouldn't the insurance companies be paying for their care? Or is this just all about one Congress man trying to look like a hero in his district by transferring debt from them to us?

  • @1Putt4eagle

    Your conservative zealotry is monumental.

Regardless of the context of this video he is correct. If you believe yes, you should vote yes. Letting procedural concerns impede voting for whats right may just be the single most toxic element of modern politics.

The fact that you have anything else to say about this video proves your conservative zealotry.

Nobody is talking about medicare, or removing them from current care. They are talking about an aid package.

  • @herbzilla12

I have no read the bill, but almost no chronic medical condition is history has ever had all of its associated costs covered bye any government program or workman's comp. There is no doubt that these first responders could use the federal funding.

"Is that better than the New York city and state programs they are on now?"

Federal money should go the them.

Why should NY shoulder all of the burden of helping support 911 first responders?

  • @herbzilla12

Personally I consider 911 to have been an attack on ALL AMERICANS. And I think that the first responders who risked their lives on 911 are heroes and that it is the responsibility of ALL AMERICANS to help out with the medical bills accommodated with the health problems they developed as a result of the sacrifices they made that day.

    1Putt4eagle,

You remind me less of a person and more of some kind of rodent, like a rat or a weasel.

  • @herbzilla12 yeah, i bet a lot of americans feel tht way. to bad u all sit on ur ass expecting some1 else to take care of them

  • @Dart11112

This comment makes no sense whatsoever. If I expect ALL AMERICANS to help shoulder the burden, it means that I expect ALL AMERICANS to shoulder the burden.

"sit on your ass" is a meaningless statement.

Everyone who supports legislation to help take care of the 911 first responders understands that they themselves will be PERSONALLY paying for the care.

They understand how taxes work and they are WILLING TO HELP and have no problems REQUIRING others to help as well.

  • @herbzilla12 so exactly how hav u helped? or if u r to young how hav ur parents helped?

  • @Dart11112

"so exactly how hav u helped?"

    Its easy.

Both I and my parents work and pay taxes.

    And we all vote.

These are all that you really need to do to help.

But to we go above and beyond. We volunteer, and I spend my free time trying to help people like you understand what is going on around them.

    Helping is not hard.

  • @herbzilla12 ok so first off paying ur taxes is a fn cop-out (spelt wrong prob. but dont give a fuck) second volunteering is the answer to my question. if the volunteering is true then u hav a right to talk shit. me, since im canadian, hav not helped in anyway

  • @Dart11112

NOT paying taxes is the Cop-Out

Believing that WE are NOT in 100% CONTROL of the Government is a Cop-Out

WE can CHOOSE who we want in office. People who Cop-Out spread the LIE that nothing we do matters

They are too lazy/cowardly to involve themselves in politics, so they DESPERATELY want to convince themselves and others that being involved in politics can't make a difference

Bust that's just so they don't have to feel guilty for being useless and helping make positive changes

  • @herbzilla12 u make a good point but paying taxes doesnt do anything, taking action does.

  • Weiner is completely insane. He has come unglued.

  • @TheGrandmaJudi There is nothing insane about this man. He spoke complete sense. If you believe in something, you vote in favor of it. If you believe something is wrong, you vote no. Nothing insane about that. Just angry and tired of being told to sit down, shut up and just take it.

  • Weiner is right and Sarah Palin sucks dicks.

  • and no he is ranting at that guy becaus peter king was supposed to gather republican votes, they only needed 18 but got twelve, wtf is that, o yea that is the sound of no!!! because dems are just a bunch of socialists, or whatever you fucking hicks wanna say. trickle down economics dont work, let gays marry, 9/11 is the republicans fault cuz they fired dick clark who was the one who was close to catching bin laden, republicans funded saddam, republicans are the ones who make money off oil

  • listen you stupid fucks, god is dead, or at least your god never existed, the big bang is science, time travel is possible, tower of babel could have never happened, and the old testiment is the most damning evidence that he never existed. O becuase there needs to be so much debate on what??? give them their fucking health benefits, or else you dont think we should, what debate does there need to be?? especially from the group that uses that fuckin day for the most political points.

  • There's an auto tune remix of this

    watch?v=btAsFEYPkLw

  • Needs. More. Views.

  • He's an idiot. He's ranting at a fellow Congressman who voted yes on the bill!!

  • Weiner is bullshit artist. The Democrats played a political stunt bringing a pathetically flawed bill under an arcane rule that would prevent debate and amendments. Bottom line the Demoracts did not want an up and down vote. Maybe people who don't know Weiner (he is from the Schumer school of cynical opportunism) are impressed by this stunt, but it is Weiner who is trying to score a hollow political point while using the bill as a prop. Because that's all it was.

  • yelling isn't backbone.

  • nice :p

  • meXXXicon ..u clueless KID.. don't mix apples and oranges.. GOD AND JESUS know that we have to stand up for ourselves and go to war sometimes.. period... we need to defend our country..period.. so don't make excuses for shallow anti God democrats.. ok kid

  • 9/11 dogs have been dying

  • Weiner is the man. I love to see a Democrat kickin some ass for once.

  • It's about time the democrats show some backbones. There is no reason to negotiate when the answer is always NO! The GOP are a whole bunch of fat corrupted heartless scoundrels.

  • Raiders you silly rabbit...The GOP does nothing that Jesus would do. They hate, they exclude, they war monger and they have no reverenece for God's creation. Stretch your little mind a little further than thier platform rhetoric and look at what the Bible says and what the Republicans actually do. Raiders, do you REALLY think Jesus would be in the NRA? :)

  • 385Mercedes..many republicans are for God,,and NOT pro abortion, or pro illegal, or pro gay marriage..all crap that many democrats vote for.. wake up people please..

  • @raiders2000 Raiders you silly rabbit...The GOP does nothing that Jesus would do. They hate, they exclude, they war monger and they have no reverenece for God's creation. Stretch your little mind a little further than thier platform rhetoric and look at what the Bible says and what the Republicans actually do. Raiders, do you REALLY think Jesus would be in the NRA? :)

  • CONSERVATIVES! You want to hear how a PATRIOT sounds when his voice rings out? I know you hate it, but listen to this man.

  • Righteous Indignation! As much as I’m sickened and saddened by politics and leaders of both sides of our political system, this is what I believe Jesus would do in this circumstance and it gives me hope that someone in the system is willing to call spade a spade!

  • amen!!!

  • thank you anthony weiner for vehemently spotlighting the reprehensible activities of the gop, the party of NO.

the gop doesn't care about the average American. the gop continues to block progress with its obstructionist grandstanding.

we need to keep highlighting the do-nothing-ness of the gop.. voters will remember in november.

  • This is a sad day in deed.

The peope who would be helped were the same people that we watched running into the twin towers while they were falling and the republicans were running for cover even though they were not in NY. These reponders were brave beyond belief. God Bless them. I will never forget watching them run towards and not away.

Republicans voted for a bailout for Wallstreet before Obama became President

  • Comment removed

  • your politicians and have them in their pockets so they can fuck us in ass and fuck ove rour environment, you guys have such great ideas, trickle down economics, what a fucking joke. The only thing that trickles down, is layoffs, terminations and bullshit, and the only jobs illegals are taking are jobs you wouldnt even want. Like a fence will stop a drug dealer??? watch an episode of cops you fucking imbecile, spike strips wont stop them, why would a fence. keep blaming dems, END THE FED reserve

  • o shut the fuck up, republicans suck way worse than democrats, democrats are just too pussy to tell republicans to fuck off, and way to scared to do the right thing, but anthony weiner is a good democrat and there more good democrats than republicans. And shut the fuck up about illegal immigration, you fuckin retarded hicks are against wasteful spending but you wanna spend billions on a fence that wouldnt even keep a paraplegic out, you guys are more fucking retarted than the ceo of bp who owns

  • Someone should tell Boner, Ryan and the rest of that right wing clan that there's a middle class in this country and they need help! Maybe they could for one minute stop being yes men for the wealthy elite and give a damn about the rest of America!

  • @unclelight No all they have to do is run the tapes of the reponders rushing into the twin towers while the republicans were running into bunkers and coddling wallstreet and ceo's. These are real americans. These are the real americans that built this country. Not the Tony give me my life back fucked up ceos that the republicans defend. We are turning into South America 1% owns 95% of the wealth and the rest are too poor to live.

  • "THE GENTLEMAN IS CORRECT IN SITTING"

  • @cowpacino I know! The best! LOL

  • I love him !

  • democrats can yell all they want.. ANYTHING CONNECTED TO BENEFITTING ILLEGALS IS WRONG !! .DEMOCRATS ARE MERE PUPPETS.. SO ARE REPUBLICANS TOO..but at least republicans are for God.. :)

  • @raiders2000 you got the puppets thing right, but both parties worship only MONEY!!!

  • @raiders2000 Repubs are for God?? Which one??

One they've created in their own image and likeness, you betcha!!

  • F THE DEMOCRATS.. DON;T LET ILLEGALS STEAL THIS NATION!!

  • @raiders2000 And what nation might that be?? Oh yeah, the one you're handing over to the banks and multinationals!

  • It's about time a Democrat got pissed off.

  • Thank God! Way to go Mr. Weiner!

  • Well done Anthony Weiner.

Now we get the dip chewing knuckle dragging baggers going against Public Health and screaming States Rights...weren't these the same voices that supported the States Rights to Slavery that caused the Civil War? These are the same dipshits that are trying to defeat Public Education and the EPA...they want the rest of us to be as stupid as they are. We've just had the biggest environmental disaster in history and they still scream deregulate. Dumb asses!

  • @seamoremonster Great comment!

  • @seamoremonster I agree do we complain when they are screwing there sister in the trailer parks

  • @seamoremonster

Wow...you need to read past those Federally approved history books.

Slavery did not cause the Civil War, just one of the many myths our Government loves to educate its sheep with...

Try starting with protectionist tariffs which benefited the North only (as the South paid for 3/4 of the total revenue from tariffs)...then go down the line to Lincoln reinforcing port with standing armies to collect tariffs; slavery is at the bottom of the list.

  • @helltrackrider I wish we could make you a slave and sell your ass to some chinese ceo.

  • @justonefirefly1

You and I are slaves...ever heard of the INCOME TAX, maybe PROPERTY TAX...how about the FEDERAL RESERVE NOTE or SOCIAL SECURITY or MEDICARE/MEDICAID...

  • @helltrackrider Not if we get out and vote. Until there is no vote then...

  • @seamoremonster

I read further...yep, you are too far to save.

enjoy a controlled and indoctrinated life...

Public Education HAS made America stupider...and the EPA, point that out to me in the Constitution?...while your at it, point me in the direction of Education as well...

  • @helltrackrider How is homeschooling from an illiterate drunken mother been working for you?

  • @justonefirefly1

    Personal attacks...classic.

  • @helltrackrider When support and funds are withdrawn from Public Education, of course it doesn't work!! So, rich send kids to private schools, the gap between rich and poor gets wider and wider. A properly funded, excellent education system is ESSENTIAL in a democracy. One that teaches basic literacy skills, critical reading, etc.

  • @385Mercedes

Excellent Education comes from the private sector...and yes, it is essential.

Prior to our Department of Education, Americans were actually educated...today, the government takes control of kids for 12 years and they get minimal education - but more importantly, they are refused the right to learn Reasoning and the basic fundementals of Liberty...but, instead are taught how Lincoln and FDR are heros. Its called indoctrination.

  • @helltrackrider Sorry, don't agree on that one.

  • @385Mercedes

You dont have to agree..anyone can agree, with a set of eyes and a brain, that Education is not a function of the Federal Government as our Constitution mandates

Do you trust the same people who glorify Lincoln as freeing the slaves (quite different), funded the mujahadeen - the nicaraguans and many other "Freedom Fighters", caused the bay of pigs, intentionally lied about the Gulf of Tonkin and Iraq having WMDs..you trust this entity to correctly educate you or your kids?

  • @helltrackrider Did I claim the feds should control education? Point that out, please.

Back at that constitution, I see... which, of course, brings you back to the Supreme Court.

  • @385Mercedes

    One thing we can conclude...

So...if the Supreme Court says murdering Americans is Constitutional, our Federal Government has this authority?...

I can assure you that the spirit of the Supreme Court over the past 100 years hasnt been on the side of Freedom, Liberty, Property nor protecting any of these...look no further than Guantonimo and the numerous concentration camps during WW1 and WW2...

  • @helltrackrider

Thankfully, Nullification and Secession are Rights reserved to the States....now, getting the bought out States to understand their Rights and act upon them is another story...

  • @helltrackrider You refer to Capital Punishment?? Within bounds, that is the States' prerogative, I think??

Who appoints justices to the SC? Who ratifies these appointments??

Guantanamo, there's no reason for that, at all, I agree. Why are Americans on Cuban soil, anyway?

  • @385Mercedes

Good point on who approves the appointments and who appoints them...that is the problem in America...and who elects these people?...that is the root of the problem.

People today think our government is to operate by the "will of the people"...if this was true, why not give everyone 1 million dollars tomorrow...im sure more than 50% want that...America is a government of Law...and when the will of the people determine the Law, there is no longer a rule of Law but of Majority.

  • @helltrackrider Then you might be interested in one of the greatest books on America, ever written, by a French aristocrat named Alexis de Toqueville, back in the 1840's. He identified the problems very early on, of what he called "The tyranny of the majority." He also speculated that Americans preferred being unfree and equal, to being free and unequal. He gets quoted a lot, but very few go back and read him.

  • @385Mercedes

I agree with de Toqueville...but, this still does not justify todays situation...if 99% of Americans want to take my car; do they have this authority?...No.

Why is this?...because America, unlike every other nation of the time, was founded with one key principle...Individualism; not Collectivism....where the Indivdual and his (her) Rights are inalienable; not based on collective Rights determined by the majority.

  • @helltrackrider Collectivism---OMG!!! Ayn Rand has been reborn!!

"unlike every other nation of the time"????? Interesting, but not quite accurate.

In 1776, BTW, the average life expectancy was 35. Do you want to go back to that way of life?? The heavily agricultural base?? If the Founding Fathers had seen these kinds of developments they might have provided differently. They did the best they could.

  • @385Mercedes

Individualism vs Collectivism is the simplest form for comparison sake, im not advocating Ayn Rand - just stating the facts.

Name one other civilized nation who form of Government, at this time, was focused on the Rights of the Individuals.

Life expectancy was obviously less at that time seeing as the common cold and flu were fatal...doctors didnt use sterilization...more misscarriages...list goes on; technology - not collectivism - has increased the life expectancy

  • @helltrackrider One other country?? My own. Though slightly more recent, I must admit.

My point about life expectancy- it has nothing to do with "collectivism"; it has introduced, however, many other issues that a shorter life span would not have to deal with. Of course, the change from an economy based on agriculture, rural to urban, has been the most significant.

  • @helltrackrider

Individualism VS. Collectivism- you're using Marxian dialectic here. whether you realize it or not. Why are you allowing the argument to be framed this way?? It's not a good VS bad, me vs us scenario. Life doesn't allow itself to be compartmentalized that way regardless of what theorists you choose.

  • @385Mercedes

Well, Ameircas tax code, regulatory code and representatives/Presidents have classified businesses and individuals and pit them against one another - look how the "poor" feel the "rich" do not pay their fair share of taxes; seeing as the "poor" pay NO direct Federal Taxes while being the primary recepient of the benefits...So, both the "poor" and the "rich" benefit at the rish of the "rich" and theft from the "rich" by Democracy...All in order to recieve more votes next go round.

  • @385Mercedes

It is a Natural Rights scenario; the key reason for the revolutionary war and the declaration of independence...Natural Rights are inherent to individuals, not classes or groups...so, how is taking from one to give to another logical, just or morally sound?

Its not...in order to maintain freedom (i say maintain as if there is any) Natural Rights cannot be infringed upon by anyone or anything; if so, this is where the judiciary is relevant...

  • @helltrackrider Please see previous comments. Natural rights???

Much more likely scenario is social darwinism.

Unfortunately fo the states' rights folks, the areas where society has changed the most in the last 200 years, have necessitated direct federal intervention. Which is not always bad. It is your economic gurus, which you are blindly following, that have pitted one part of society against another.

Have a good day- back to celebrate my Simcoe Day holiday here!

  • @385Mercedes

This is where the Founders of America and those Britts disagreed as well; again, see the Declaration for "Natural Rights"...pretty self explanitory from there why America exist and what kind of government would exist ... and Democracy was at the bottom of the list.

Sad thing, those "economic gurus" you are referring to have shown why and how economies throughout the world work and why depressions happen...yet, people sit back and say "its just a bubble - it happens"

  • @helltrackrider Sorry, but no, they haven't. They certainly did not foresee what is happening now- and how, against everything you are preaching, economies like Germany's (Another state founded on individual rights) are thriving. Low unemployment, economic activity thriving.

  • @385Mercedes

Germany...haha...they are worse off than America.

You were probably saying the same thing under Clinton or during the housing boom of "man...those austrian economist cant explain this"...its called credit.

When you have essentially unlimited credit, as Germany did, you can spend and the economy falsely grows without actual wealth creation...seeing as Germany owes over 140% debt when compared to its GDP...dont expect them to thrive very long once the credit runs out.

  • @helltrackrider If you don't believe me about Germany - where the unemployment rate is 7% --all kinds of on-line news articles will tell you the same. In order to have any economic future at all- you have to have faith. There's no other way, and it's not easy. You have to grow the tax base.

  • @385Mercedes

7%...WOW...im assuming this percentage is based on a government representation; like here where we are at 10%...when in reality, its more closer to 20%.

For shits and giggles...look into the unemployment during the Warren Harding era as President; then look how he reduced taxes massively and cut government spending in half...unemployment was around 2%.

  • @helltrackrider Taking from the one to give to the other?? We're not playing Robin Hood here. If you want to go live by yourself on a a desert island--- that's the logical conclusion to what you are talking about.

I take it, then that you must also be in favor of gay marriage?

  • @385Mercedes

Im not in favor of marriage being determined by a State; as the only reason it is determined by the State is to track individuals for income purposes and bind them into contractural agreements for "benefit" purposes (tax breaks)

Whoever wants to live together...go for it; if your religious get "married"...if not, just live together.

  • @385Mercedes

In America, the vast majority of taxes are paid by the top 10% of income earners...these tax payers do not qualify for social programs provided by the federal government (over half our governments expenditures every year)...tell me how this isnt "taking" from one to "give" to another.

  • @helltrackrider Would you please cite the government publication that contains those statistics?? And at the same time, find out about the farm subsidy program that takes from the poor to give to the rich mega-farmers? How did those top earners get the money?

  • @385Mercedes

Internal Revenue Service ... based on 2007 data

Top 1% paid 40% of income taxes

    Top 2%-5% paid 60%

Top 10 paid 61% of income taxes...

Bottom 50% paid 3% of income taxes...

the income tax accounts for approximately 97% of discrentionary spending...with excise, customs, "gift" and corporate taxes making the rest.

Social Security, Unemployment and Medicare are taxed seperately...of which, as shown above, the ones who pay the least amount of taxes qualify for.

  • @helltrackrider

Im sorry...71%, not 61% for the Top 10% of income earners...

if this isnt a progressive tax scale; i dont know what is...you know, a communist tactic

  • @helltrackrider You've only supplied HALF the data- and wasn't Harding coming into power at a dream time, and didn't the Teapot Dome scandal occur under his administration? Rise of KKK? Unregulated growth which led to the stockmarket crash??

KKK was founded by Democrats and is irrelevant...see the fact that the "New Black Panthers" exist now.

Teapot Dome scandal had nothing to do with him; it was his cabinent members actions - to which he fired them promptly.

The expansion on the money supply and supressed interest rates under Hoover; not Harding, by the Federal Reserve lead to the Great Depression...see a trend, today America expanded Credit (essentially money supply) and supressed interest rates...and voila!

  • @helltrackrider He trusted the wrong people- and was warned not to.

Racism is NEVER irrelevant. All the seeds were sown by Harding.

Plus, of course, the rise of Organized Crime, etc.

  • @385Mercedes

Obviously, Racism is bad as is organized crime...but laying this blame on Harding is ridiculous...

    1) Prohibition was in 1919, which was the organized crime...see todays drug laws and the crime surrounding it. The President HAS to enforce the Law...the States can nullify the Laws, not the President.

    2) Racism has nothing to do with the President, nor Congress for that matter...Racism is sown within the individuals who feel they are superior to another because their skin.

  • @385Mercedes

When Harding was coming into "Power" was after Woodrow Wilson (worst President in US History)...i would not call this a "Dream Time" as unemployment had risen from 1% to 5.5% then to 12% within his first year and production was down 7%...a dream time for Austrian free market economics; yes...but, for the typical run of the mill Keynesian...no, as they would have just expanded the money supply and lived their term on credit hoping it didnt bust under their tenure.

  • @385Mercedes

I can agree with something here...at least you taken the time and saw it necessary enough to educate yourself...that speaks volumes considering the time period we live in and that American Idol and the Bachelor are more important to people than enlightenment...considering we disagree on how America was founded and how it should be presently operating; i'll leave it at that...have a good day.

Vote on Wednesday in 2012 :)

  • @385Mercedes

One problem with Democracy (really there are limitless problems)...the majority will always vote for their benefit at the detriment of the minority, always...this leads to socialism...which, soon enough - your run out of others money or at least you hit the point where people are tired of paying for everything...so, what then?...since 1913 we have been doing the "what then"...print more money...is this good for society?...No.

  • @helltrackrider Please see the comment I just made, re majority rule and minority rights.

Socialism- why is this such a red flag?? Because WAY too many Americans have become the spiritual children of the late Senator McCarthy's paranoia. That guy has to be laughing in some circle of hell somewhere. He, and that idiotic Readers Digest- reducing complex issues in simplistic ways, always pushing the right-wing agenda on an unsuspecting public who looked to RD for intellectual enlightenment.
