Yea way to put it. It's like they were that teenage band having a good time because they love it. They still do, but it's not the same. They wrote these happy chill songs that they don't do anymore. There new songs are much more, (hard word to think of). I think you described it good with adult. Song like 33, Devil in Jersey City, Neverender. Those rae all those kinds of songs. Including Junesong Provision. Three evils was also one. There new stuff is good. Just more mature.

yeah theyre not a great live band..the only stage performance they give is the cliched rock star stuff...persnally ive never liked their Final Cut improvisation at all, its not very inspired. i like them as a band but honestly, theyre just ok in concert

I think it has a lot to do with the fact that they used to be Shabutie before coheed and Shabutie used a lot of the screamo elements and so he didnt really singed that much, when it came to coheed he had to learn how to sing and it took him some time but you see him now and he sings great, this vid is from 2002 or sumthing :)
